Shive was sitting on the beach, his face in his right hand and his legs splayed out before him, Ragnarok on the ground next to him. He sighed, pulling his hand from his face, then drew on knee up to his chest as he stared at the sky. He knew time was running out, and things in the city weren't improving. Yet, at the moment, he knew there was nothing he could do at his current level against Devil Kaiser, or even his brother. His fists clenched, and he slammed his left claw into the beach next to him, sending a plume of sand into the air. His frustration was high at the moment, and he feared he may go into an involuntary Bloodrage. Not a good thing. He shook his head, then jerked backwards, lying on the beach.
"Nothing I can do... probably get myself killed..." He mumbled.
He let out a quieter sigh this time, closing his eyes.
Meh... Sol's got it covered. They don't need my help. He thought.
He glanced at Ragnarok, then scraped a claw along the blade's length.
"I put a piece of my soul in you... why can't you be like a Zanpoktou, and help me?" He muttered dully.

"Aw... is the little dragonkin moping?" Cresence ask as he surfaced from the river in his true form.
"I still can't believe that emerald gecko managed to survive, maybe I can... 'convince' you to part with some information on what might be strong enough to kill him... You seem to be a very close friend."
The crystalline beast grinned.
"Even if you don't have any information, I've been itching to beat someone into a pulp."
With that, Cresence took up a battle stance.

Shive muttered something, picked up Ragnarok, and bounced to his feet.
"Not really in the mood for this, but if you really wanna..."
He twirled the massive blade, muttering,
"Ragnarok- Earth aspect."
In the shape of a 7-1/2-foot broadsword, the blade now had a slight green tint to it, and the blade seemed thicker than a normal broadsword would be for the dragonkin's size. The guard was basically a gray-brown octagon with raised sides, and a spike-like triangle jutted out of each diagonal side. Shive held the blade out before him, level with the ground. He then rushed forward and flat-sided Cresence in the head with enough force to 'spatter' the crystalline beast's head. Before he had time to react, Shive grabbed the frayed edges of what was once Cresence's head, began to spin, then tossed him into the river.
The dragonkin aimed a palm at Cresence just before he began to sink, then fired off an Ice Javelin into the Living Surge, icing the water around him and encasing him in a large block of ice. Shive snorted, veins beginning to creep into his eyes as he raised Ragnarok again.

Before the dragonkin's eyes, the ice was absorbed into Cresence's body, and the Living Surge levitated himself out of the water.
Cresence inhaled, and the shot out a stream of ice at the dragonkin, encasing him up to his waist.
Cresence the reeled his fist back, and through it forward, extending it so that it hammered into Shive's face, mysteriously not breaking him out of his confines.
"A little cold won't slow me down." Cresence growled, then hammered Shive's face in again, this time breaking the ice.

Spikes abruptly jutted out of various points on Shive's body as his scales took on a red sheen, his pupils dialating almost to the point of non-existance as veins crossed completely through them. He let loose a hair-raising snarl before slamming his fist into Cresence's face, then spun around and slammed him into the beach, whereupon he began launching breath weapon after breath weapon into the Surge, eating away at his form. Despite the dragonkin knowing the futility of his actions, he proceeded to continue beating Cresence into a liquid-ish pulp, then shoved the blade square through the Surge's stomach. Energy spiked down the blade before pulsing into the ground, then erupted forth as a row of rising shafts of dark-green energy, of which decimated the ground they traveled over. Said attack blew apart Cresence's top half.
Shive snarled as he raised Ragnarok, grumling something. Ragnarok then assumed its Fire aspect form, and Shive's hands tightened about its handle.

Ever faithfully, the 'corpse' of Cresence rose again, the part of his body blown off by Shive's last attack being reformed easily.
"Ow... You are more bite then bark." the Living Surge commented, despite Shive likely being unable to understand in the berserked state. If he could, it would likely be ignored.
Cresence then grinned, tapping into his Metal Surge.
"You'll probably get through this, but lets see if you can anyways."
Cresence's hands shifted into hundreds of spears which surged forward and impaled Shive through the stomach... and then Cresence howled in surprised pain and drew the spears back.
"That sheen's corrosive!? shit!"
The Living Surge took flight and bombarded Shive with fireballs formed in his mouth.

Shive grunted in annoyance as the fireballs exploded against and around him, but doing slighty less damage than Cresence may have expected. Shive snarled, then blasted into the air and tackeled into the Living Crystal with enough force to crack the Metal Surge's release. Shive then stabbed Ragnarok into one of the cracks, the heated blade carving easily through the Surge's interior before Shive grumbled something again, and Cresence got hot. Really hot. Dozens of explosions ripped out of Cresence as Shive drew the sword back, burns on his front side from the force of the attack.
He panted for a few moments, then waved Ragnarok through the air, bringing said blade into its Air form. He rocketed back at the Surge and delivered a kick to Cresence's gut, then brought his other leg about and smashed it into the metallic beast's stomach, sending him tumbling through the air sideways. Shive let out another bellow, bloody foam gathering along his maw's edge.

Cresence recovered, snarling hatefully, and charged at Shive, smashing into him and ignoring the corrosive sheen. His metallic gray body glowed, and the Living Surge used the release attack of his Metal Surge, showering Shive with shrapnel. Cresence then kicked Shive back, and landed, focusing his crystalline radiation, and transforming into Critical Mass state.
[glow=blue,2,300]"Now you're finished![/glow] Cresence roared, and then activated his Fire Surge and Speed Surge simultaneously, his body glowing blood red with the rainbow lights encircling him.
Cresence roared again, then appeared right in front of Shive in the blink of an eye, landing a good three hundred blows in rapid succession, two or three of them breaking a bone. Cresence then tapped into his Metal Surge again, adding it to the already active Fire and Speed Surges.
The Living Surge pivoted, and round-house kicked Shive away, snarling at the dragonkin all the while.
(OOC: Oh crap!)

((*starts playing 'Soldiers of the Wasteland'*))
Shive snarled, his current state of mind blocking out the pain, for now, as lod drbbled down his face ixing in withhis sheeed scales. He rushed forward and slammed his fist into Cresence's face, then grabbed the Surge's face, having trouble ignoring te heat he was outputting, but nonetheless slammed the Surge into the ground, blasting away at him with his breath weapon. He bounced backwards, then fired off a lage gust of wind, filled with small, silver motes of light. The miniature hurricane tore through everything in its path, including the Living Surge, of whom it slashed into as if it were Ragnarok itself.
Shive bellowd again, rushing foward and delivering a powerful uppercut to the crystalline monstrousity, then flat-sided the Sol-look-alike back into the river, switching Ragnarok into his fourth aspect, the Water form. He snarled, waiting for, and expecting, Cresence's next attack. Meanwhile, in the trees, a pair of figures moved towards the scene of the fight, one only visible as a pair of floating white eyes...
"Shouldn't we be helping the others? I mean, they seemed to be having trouble with that wierd crystalline droid..."
Her demonic companion said nothing as they continued forward, staying out of sight.

The ground began to quake, making everybody highly alert. Several rock-coated crystal spike surged out of the ground, shis-kabobing the dragonkin and lifting him up. Another quake ensued, before the ground was split open by Cresence, who was snarling at Shive hatefully.
The crystalline beast was dangerously close to Elena and Void, but because his back was faced towards them, he didn't notice them.
[glow=blue,2,300]"I could kill you right now if I want to, and there's nothing anybody could do to save you, because you'll be spread out over the land in many pieces. No one else is here, to hear your cries of death, as you pass from the world of the living for the final time... However, where's the fun in that?"[/glow] Cresence simply chucked Shive away, sliding him off of the spikes as he roared, firing a concentrated stream of fire and strikeing the dragonkin.

Shive snarled in pain, staggering to his feet as a black glow surrounded himself, but only he himself could see it, unless Cresence were to pry into his mind at the moment. However, he took no notice as he barreled forward, slamming the now scimitar-like Ragnarok into Cresence repeatedly, then stabbed the sword into the ground behind himself as he grabbed Cresence with both hands; one around the neck, and another into his stomach. He lifted the Surge up with a grunt, then, emitting a rising growl, ripped the crystalline beast in half. The berserk dragonkin then hurled both halves to the side as he began to lose his sheen, his spikes retracted into himself, and his eyes regained their normal appearance.
He cursed himself mentally for losing track of the time, and now knew he'd be at a disadvantage. Well... more of one, anyway. He grumbled, took Ragnarok back in hand, then swept the blade at Cresence, sending a massive spear of solid ice throuh the top half, nailing him to the opposite bank of the river, beginning to freeze him from the entrance point outwards. Meanwhile, Elena winced, muttering
"damn... those two are brutal..."
Void glanced down at the anthropomorphic alien, then muttered,
"Seems the gray one'd be even tougher... had you done what needs to be done..."
Either Elena didn't hear him, or didn't care as Shive finally glanced at himself, then thought,
The Shadow Soul is nearby... but where?!

Cresence howled angrily, as he once again absorbed the ice, refilling his temporary breath weapon. The top half levitated itself up, and the bottom half jumped over to meet it, and the two became one again. Cresence snarled, and made to charge at Shive, only to get body slammed by a certain armored half-dragon, who began to unload hundreds of rounds of the beam gattling into Cresence's hide.
Cresence howled angrily as the rocky cover on his body was being chipped off, and boots his attacker away, who grunts, but recovers quickly and launches a round of her Sonic Disruptor, and watched in approval as Cresence howls in pain and loses more of his rocky covering.
The armored figure turned to Shive, "I'd have gotten here sooner, but I can't exactly Flash Step like Dad can..."
Myrr grinned behind the visor, "But as they usually say, better late then never!"
Cresence growled, making the half-dragon return her attention to the Living Surge, tense in case it made any sudden moves. Cresence didn't seem to do anything, and seemed to be re-evaluating the situation.

Shive coughed up a bit of blood, grinning back at Myrr.
"Ah, I'm just grateful you decided to show.."
Abruptly, all of Cresence's movement just... stopped. The Surge found himself to be completely immobile, even his eyes were locked in place. A pair of white 'wisps' and a crooked, wispy grin formed in his shadow as Void rumbled,
"Hold still for a bit..."
Elena edged toward Shive, an unsure look on her face as she asked her companion,
"You sure about this?"
Void roared back,
"goddamnIT, YES! He'll know, just ask him!"
Shive cocked an eyebrow as Elena edged forward, and Shive asked,
"Uhh... I feel I should know... perhaps...?"
She shrugged, then stated,
"Something about a Soul or something?"
Shive blinked, then glanced at his hand. The black glow was stronger, and he muttered,
"So it's you..."
He looked at agnarok, of whom had reverted to its normalform. He grabbed the blade and held the handle out to Elena, demanding,
"Quick! Just stab me with it!"
Elena, blinking, simply nodded, and, Shive holding it up for her, shoved the tip into Shive's chest, drawing no blood nor wound whatsoever. A black 'pulse' emanated from Shive, and Elena backed up as he drew Ragnarok from his chest, nodding to Elena.
"Thanks!" He barked.
He turned back to Cresence, taking up a spot next to Myrr as he hefted Ragnarok, shifting it into its Light form. Void rumbled, ad Cresence's movement was returned as the shadow flitted away next to Elena as she ran into the woods, shouting,
"Kick his ass!"
Shive then turned to Cresence, grinning as Ragnarok was hefted onto his shoulder. The dragonkin failed, however, to notice a vibrant shimmering, gray glow around himself, stronger around the side Myrr was next . Shive held the blade to the side as motes of light gathered along the blade, then he took a strong stp forward swiging the blade. Said action caused Rgnarok to produce a 20-foot long 'sheath' of light to coelesceround the blade, of whic cleaved clean through Cresece, and wrackedthe Surge with a pain unlike any other he'd felt. It was almost... as if the pain was in his mind, body, and soul all at once.

Cresence's howl was unlike anything a creature of Earth should be able to produce. The very trees shuddered and splintered with the wail, some even toppling from having their trunks snapped by the sound waves. The river rippled violently as the sound persisted, and Myrr had to resist the reflex of slapping her hands over her sensitive ears, seeing as there was a helmet and it would do no good.
Cresence gasped as he recovered again, noticably slower this time, the horrid sound finally ceasing. The Critical crytsalline being managed to bring his feet underneath him again, and lift himself up, glaring hatfully at the two dragon anthros. Myrr tensed up, and then unleashed an assault from all of her weapons at once. Cresence snarled, waving his hand to fire a telekinetic burst.
Said burst was so strong that it carved a ditch into the ground as it caught, and reflected, all of Myrr's arsenal, and continued forward as well. The half-dragon's eyes widened in fear, as she called the barrier to life, blocking the reflected 'ammunition' but failing to disperse the kinetic attack, which blew her back with a cry of pain as her nerves were, figuratively, set aflame.
The half-dragon struggled to rise again, but Cresence inhaled, and sent a jet of ice at her, freezing her instantly from head to tail tip in several meters of ice. Cresence then parted the river, ceasing flow downstream and depriving thousands of fish their homes, and lifted the second half of the river, sending it surging towards Shive in the shape of a giant hand, which gripped the dragonkin, enveloping him in the waters of the river. Cresence was intending to suffocate him, and had frozen Myrr so she couldn't intervene...

Shive held his breath for as long as he could, practically immobile against the telekinetic force binding the water around him. He growled, thinking,
Well... this isn't good... hmph. Freezing the ice won't do any good; more water'll just come from upstream. Plus there's the telekinetic force binding it together...
...damnit. Seems only way out of this would be to hit Cresence, and hard. But, since I'm caught in this damned thing, that won't be a possibility...
... the Shade Aspect won't help either... I'd have to get it through the telekinesis... doubt it'd do much against him anyway...
I'm too tired to use the Bloodrage again... nor... continue this fight... damn.
His eyes narrowed against the crushing force of the water, and he added as an afterthought,
....least I know how to hold my breath for a while... that's one good thing I got from dad...
That sprang something to mind. Why he was looking for the Souls. Why he wanted to improve his fighting prowess. Why he needed to keep up with the others... it was to keep assh*les like Cresence from hurting those he cared about... his fiery eyes glard, bringing Daedalus to mind. If he died here, he'd never get the chance to do it again.
And Daedalus was the top person on hs hit list.
He bowed his head, teeth baed as he looked like he was beginning to choke, his chest jerking in sudden, strong motions. His muscles tightened, and he let loose a muffled roar as he began to claw his way free of the water, his head surfacing from the trap in about a minute. He continued to claw through against the telekinetic force, of which had to've started wearing on Cresence's telekinesis... and Shive's body.
"I-don't-have-time-to-waste-on-something-LIKE-YOU." Shive grunted, pupils dialating, as several bones could be heard splintering.
He finally got an arm free, and threw a Burst Pyre square into Cresence's face, blowing away a good portion of the cranium. Using the chance he had, he broke free of the water and rushed Cresence, sending several powerful punches into the abberation, breaking through his Critical shell. Shive then stabbed Ragnarok into Cresence's chest while fring another burst Pyre at Myrr's prison, breaking away the front half of it. Turning back to Cresence, he bellowed again, then fired off aRazor Wind, while the blade was still lodged in Cresence's sternum, creating a large gouge running up Cresence's back. He kicked the Surge off, snarling as he panted.
