Cresence snarled as his body sparked and sputtered with energy, turning into a mixture of red and silver. The Living Surge seemed to be degenerating under the radiation that sustained his Critical Mass state.
[glow=red,2,300]"You... You win this... this round..."[/glow] Cresence growled.
[glow=red,2,300]"However... I'll make you hurt before I leave..."[/glow]
The Speed Surge's release attack suddenly slammed into Shive, knocking him back in slow motion. The Metal Surge was next, sending another wave of shrapnel into the dragonkin's body, and final the beam that was the Fire Surge tore at him, blasting him back further. Cresence shed his Critical Mass state fully, exhausted from the damage he had taken, and fled by sinking back into the ground, the river returning to its normal state long ago.

((Shive: finally... *falls over*))
Bleeding profusely, then dragonkin grunted, vomiting up a handful of blood as he shuddered to hs knees, gritting his teeth againt fatuige and pain. Lots of pain. Ragnarok reverted to its original form as Shive attempted to lean against it, using it to get himself back to his feet. He managed to do so, staggring over to Myrr as he clawed the rest of the ice away from her, of which took several minutes in his state. Accomplishing said task, he faltered backwards, swaying before falling to one knee, asking,
"You... you okay?"
He clapped his hand over his mouth, sending mucus-filled blood dribbling between his fingers as he hacked violently.

Myrr panted, weakly raising a hand to her helmet and prying it off. Her face had turned slightly blue from the exposure to such freezing cold.
"Been better..." the half-dragon responded in a weak whisper, "damn... stupid ice sapped all my strength... I can barely move... Feel's like I'm gonna fall asleep at any minute..."
The half-dragon weakly crawled away from the ice, trying to gain some stability so as to get back up, but failing. Her numb legs buckled underneath her weight, sending Myrr back to the ground. Thankfully it wasn't a major drop.
"What'd he do to you?" she asked him, noticing his current state.

Shive panted, blood dribbling down his chin, as he replied,
"Ugh... he hit me with several energy attacks in a row... strong ones at that... but I'm more worried about you right now."
He swayed to his feet, wiping at his mouth as he grabbed an armload of wood, splintered from Cresence's pain-filled bellow. He dumped it in a pile before Myrr, then set it ablaze with his Prestidigitation, collapsing onto his hind on the other side.
"Don't try to warm yourself up quickly... it could lead to problems if you're as cold as I think..." He muttered.
He glanced up at her, the fire blazing strongly now. He mulled over that last fight, and how he had fought. His fists clenched weakly as he recalld the only things that did an actual damage were his Aspect-form spells.... and even then Cresence shrugged them off like they were nothing. His shouldrs sagged as he muttered something below hearing range. He shook his head and sighed, shaking his head.

Still numb, the half dragon crawled over to the fire as best as she could, laying down on the ground nearby as the flame began to warm her up.
"Thanks Shive..." Myrr said, some of her foice returning. She then gave a soft chuckle. "But don't worry so much. I'm Sol's daughter, and you've seen how tough to put down he is. I may not have gotten all of his toughness... but I'll be damned if this keeps me down for too long."
She broke out into a soft fit of laughter as she managed to roll onto her back.
"... Speaking of Solranous... I know for a fact that his scales can't resist lava... so how did he survive?"

Shive shrugged, staring blankly into the fire.
"Dunno. Could've been a telekinetic clone tht was thrown in, could've been using a shield, maybe he did die, and just got another Gigai from Soul Society..."
He 'hmphed', adding,
"Or maybe he did somehow become resistant to lava..."
He blinked once, continuing his blank stare into the blaze as he muttered,
"Just... one... more... person..."
His hands tightened slightly, and he murmurred,
"Then... maybe I'll be worth something again..."
His lip twitched, yet his face wen emotionless again, continuing his staredown with the fire.

Myrr frowned at that.
"Knowing him, I can rule out the first and third options... he's not one to count on others to get back into this world, and I've never seen him use his spirit form... Cresence probably would have known it was a clone... But what shield could he have used to make himself immune to lava, or how did he become resistant..."
She then perked up when she registered his mutterings.
"You're looking for someone? Who? And why?" the half-dragon asked, curiousity lacing her voice.

He sighed, then raised his head and closed his eyes, replying
"To answer in order: I'm not sure yet. As for why, well..."
He tumbed at Ragnarok, explaining,
"When I left, I underwent training to become a War Mage, a caster who relies on using offensive magic coupled with physical combat. War Mage magic revolves around the seven elements- Water, Air, Earth, Light, Darkness, and Ether; and our trademark, our Arcane Focus's. An Arcane Focus is a specific weapon used to channel elemental energy, changing the weapon in seven different ways, as you've seen Ragnarok here do before. However, our Arcane Focus's only start off with the basic four elements. We have to find the last three on our own, each of which has been contained as a sort of 'charge' in three people we know."
He slitted his eyes open, staring at the night sky.
"I've found the Light and Darkness charges... all I have left is the Ether. When I do that, I'll be able to reach the pinnacle of War Mage ability."
He gave a sad smile, staring back into the fire.
"When that happens, I might be able to fight on an even level with the others again..."
((By others, you mean Sol, right? Shive: Shut it.))

((Solranous: Can't exactly blame him for wanting to be able to at least match me again. After all, he used to be able to kick my tail in the strength department, and I could just run circles around him. Now I'm doing both the running and the tail-kicking. Like I said, can't blame him for wanting a piece of the major action.))
Myrr blinked, and grunted as she managed to lift herself back to her feet.
"Say... it wouldn't have anything to do with you glowing gray... would it? I could only get a glimpse... but I could have sworn you had a gray outline. I think it was just a trick of the light... but when magic is involved, you never know..."
Myrr sneezed after that, and sank to her knees again.

((Shive: *bricks Sol* Don't rub it in. T-T))
Shive blinkd in utter shock, then slowly nodded.
"Yeah, actually... that would be acknowledgement that the last Soul is nearby..."
He suddenly smirked, realization setting in.
"And the only people able to see it are the War Mage himself, and the one who bears the Soul..."
He stood up, grabbed Ragnarok, then handed it handle-first to Myrr.
"Would you mind? All you need to do is jab the point into my chest."
He paused, then added,
"It won't actually harm me, though."

((Solranous: *tosses brick away* And to think I still have another form in reserve...))
Myrr nodded.
"I know, I saw when Elena stabbed ya with it." she said as she grabbed the handle, managing to lift herself back to her feet again, and lift the sword as well with her quickly returning strength.
"Hope this'll give us good guys the extra edge we need." she mused, then plunged the blade into Shive's chest as instructed.

((Shive: *pegs Sol with cement mixer* WHAT DID I JUST SAY?!))
A tingle up Myrr's arms, then flowed throuh the blade and into Shive. In Shive's vision, Myrr lost her gray glow, but Shive pulsed with it for a few moments, before it vanished. He nodded in thanks, taking the blade out of his chest and twirled it to the side, before stabbing it ito the ground. He flopped back down onto his hind, wincing in pain as he did so before shrugging it off. He wrapped an arm around Myrr's legs, muttering,
"Thank you..."
He clenhed his hand as he noted his vision clearing, and even improving. He smirked, knowing what this was a side-effect of what just happened. He looked up at Myrr and smirked, then closed his eyes and rubbed his cheek against her thigh.
"It'd be better if I had three spare days.... unfortuneatly, I don't think I do... ... ah well... I'll make due."
Despite the fact it could possibly kill me wihout them. BUT HEY! Not like I haven't died before! He thought sardonically.

((Myrr: ... It could WHAT!? *grips Shive* I swear if you die on me AGAIN, when I get to Arux di Itmen, assuming I get sent there..., then I am going to bust your ass so hard it'll make that b****** of a former brother look like a wuss!))
Myrr blinked again as she looked down at Shive. His tone of voice made her somewhat worried.
"Shive..." she began, a knowing tone in her voice, "... there's something you're not telling me are you?"
She sat down again, shifting herself so that her legs were sticking out to one side while she was sitting, as if she were going to lay down all the way. She brushed two fingers against his cheek, hoping it wasn't something that could give him injury.

((Shive: *throws Honcho out of his trashcan, hides in said can* I'll tell you nothing!))
Shive 'hmphed', then closed his eyes and muttered,
"Believe me, if there was something to worry about, I'd tell you..."
He slitted his eyes back open, and glanced at Myrr from the corner of his eye. His smile turned to a smirk. and he looked forward again, muttering,
"You should know by now.... that I can't really keep anything from you in the first place..."
He gave a small, short laugh, then closed his eyes.
"I just realized.... that fight... kinda wore me out... and that's saying a lot..." He yawned, slumping.

The half-dragon leaned over, kissing Shive briefly.
"Then rest. It's probably better if you do... I don't know what kind of power you got when I stabbed you with Ragnarok, but I'm sure Solranous has it covered for now. What's the point in gaining power... if you're not well enough to use it safely?" Myrr said, pulling Shive up so he was leaning into her lap, and she was holding him with her arms.
"I know its hard... but try not to be an idiot..."
