And I'm beginning to realize, that Armageddon had no clue as to his real true power. In a sense, he is like a Shinigami I've heard of, Kenpachi Zaraki, who had similar ideals in regards to power, yet different at the same time. If he had found out before I killed him, many trillions of lives could have been lost. Of course, I doubt he could ever have found out. He doesn't know the meaning of the word 'trust.' By pursueing this goal, I am focusing on my own life as well as helping others. But, if you continue to convince me otherwise, I will know that I have to show you what I mean." Solranous responded. The dragon's eyes had closed in concentration, and both of them could feel his reiatsu...

It was above what his Shikai state exerted when Artecaex first met him, and was greater then what Cynder had encountered under Armageddon's control...

And this is when he hasn't released the zanpoktou yet...

"Do you see? Already I am becoming stronger. I alone cannot defeat the Patriarch, so I am trusting the one being who is by my side 24/7...

Kizoku. I am trusting him now more then ever. What you saw last time was my limit on my own... But now I know that once I trust my zanpoktou completely, I can ascend to even greater heights. Maybe you will understand someday, Artecaex." the emerald dragon finished, pulling back his reiatsu.

"Amazing..." was all Cynder could say.

(OOC: Geez, I seem to have made Solranous quite the speaker and negotiator...)

((Er... Bankai is the highest level for a Zanpoktou...))

Artecaex shook his head, unfazed.

"You defy him to protect your friends. Hmph. Well, I suppose that could be a viable reason."

His eyes closed, and he nodded slowly, yet still scowling.

"Of course, trust isn't one of my strong points. So I could never understand. Hell, the only reason I had to defy the Patriarch was to restore myself to my human form. But after the Patriarch was sealed away for about 400 years, I soon discovered that would never be possible. Not even Deep Magic could restore me, for Deep Magic was what brought me into this... accursed existance."

The trees around Artecaex suddenly exploded into a flurry of splinters, nothing but a bunch of ragged stumps within a forty-foot radius. The dust around the dragon began to swirl, then it too, disintergrated as Artecaex took on a silvery glow...

"I don't bother to even think about breaking free now... there's no reason for me to. Like I said before, the only thing that even keeps me going is the fact that damnedable lich could just bring me back as an animate corpse, my soul trapped within the lifelss shell."

What looked like an aura of silvery, crackling energy flared into life around Artecaex, along with a wave of invisible force that nearly toppled Solranous and sent Cynder flying. Whatever it was, it wasn't reiatsu; but it was close. Reizus's Hadouken had a similar feeling to this energy.

"So, do what you will with your life; no reason will save you from the Patriarch's wrath. Nothing short of a god can stop him."

The energy died down, and a few trees nearby quaked and shuddered under the sudden release of pressure.

"It is true the Patriarch probably has his sights on domination and destruction, but there's nothing no one can do... nothing. You can train for as long as you like; it won't make a difference. I'm sorry to tell you this, but it is true." He stated, his voice becoming deathly silent.

He spread his wings, preparing to take off.

"Knowing my luck, I'll have the displeasure of encountering you in combat the next time we meet." He finished.

He then rocketed off into the sky at a high velocity.

(OOC: Nobody said the Bankai couldn't get stronger, yes? Sorry I was vague.)

"Baka..." Solranous muttered, shaking his head. "With those thought patterns, it is not the Patriarch sealing his doom, he's doing that quite effectively himself..."

The dragon sighed, and Cynder could feel his gaze on her.

"Never give up hope, Cynder, for if one does not have hope, he or she has nothing. If you need me, call, and I will aid you as much as possible. Now, I have to get back to increasing the strength of my Bankai."

No longer did she feel his presence.

"...Just how far are you willing to go for some one who has given up... Solranous?" Cynder asked no one in particular.

((Well, the Bankai can only get stronger by unlocking more tehcniques, and no Bankai has more than three... except for Byakuya's, which has like, three Bankai forms, but even then, all three forms are of the same strength...))
