Amongst the trees, bushes, and grass, the streetlights turned on, lighting the park's walkways. There were no people here at this hour of the night, except an occasional hobo or group of troublemaking teens. However, tonight was different...
A large figure walked out of the trees and into a clearing located near the center of the park. It glanced around, muttering,
"They should be here soon..."
It looked at a park bench, then at the trees, and then at the sky. It folded it's heavily muscled arms and sighed, eyes closing.
"Great. What with Teracyn and Solranous running around, altering the damn timeline, unexpected things are happening."
It's eyes opened, glowing a red-orange in the moonlight.
"Hell, they have less than a week before... those two show up again..." It grumbled, shifting it's weight around and lashing it's tail.

Solranous and Myrr, after reuniting from their seperate 'adventures,' had gone on a night flight at Myrr's request. Solranous was hesitant at first, but decided to agree and place a cloak on the two of them so that they wouldn't be seen. The last thing the dragon wanted to do was cause panic.
Their flight had taken them over the park where Myrr was flying with her back facing the ground. Her father voiced his concern, but was merely waved off by Myrr, the half-dragon claiming to have repeated the stunt many times from the time she came from. Solranous, though, spotted something out of the ordinarary.
"Myrr... Is that Shive?" Solranous whispered, gesturing to the dragonkin in the clearing. Myrr flipped over in the air, glancing in the direction Solranous had pointed.
"...I think so... Lets get a closer look." Myrr suggested, not being able to tell at her current height.
"Well, it's definetly a dragonkin, and no one else is around, we can make a hard landing." Solranous stated, before locking his wings in a dive. The emerald dragon landed with a heavy crunching of the ground a good distance behind the dragonkin, unsure if, should this in fact be Shive, the Ragnarok blade was still intact and usable. Myrr also descended, making a much neater and quieter landing. The two of them waited for the dragonkin to respond.

The figure smirked, then whipped around to face them.
It did indeed look exactly like Shive, but about 2 inches taller, a long scar running down the left side of his face, the eye seemingly hazed over with a white film. His hair was a bit more ragged than Shive's, and was a metallic, red-purple color. His armor was a chrome-color, and seemed angular, with panels on either wrist, as well as a rectangular 'box' positioned between the wings. Ragnarok, or a sword similar to the blade, was wedged in the ground a foot away. It was clearly worn, and had an electric-blue tint to the blade's metal. It smirked at the two, then stated in a voice slightly deeper than Shive's,
"Yeah, I'm Shive. But, not in the conventional sense..."
He glanced over at Solranous, then Myrr, and the smirk slowly grew.
"I'm from the future."
Seeing their confused looks, he stated,
"And yes, I know Teracyn said he killed me while I was in my Hollow form, but he's only half-right. He managed to cripple the Hollow to the point where his control wavered enough for me to defeat him permanantly. However, it came at a price..."
At the last statement, he pointed at his eye and right hand, though the hand looked normal. He held up a finger, then peeled the scales and skin off like tape, revealing a cybernetic interior.
"There's multiple reason's why I'm here, but I'll explain the ones you need to know. My past self is off somewhere, brooding because of the Hollow. That was a bad mistake, for one of two things will happen: A, the Hollow will take over because no one else is around to help, or B, my asshole brother will show up and kill Shive in his weakened state. Yes, he's still pretty damn weak, because the Hollow is currently feeding off of his energy to fuel his own. "
Shive's eye darkened, and he continued,
"But that's not all. For Nazo and Draethik will reappear iwthin the next week, contrary to what Teracyn said. After they appear, they'll level this city in their fight. Teracyn and your future self, Solranous, will appear a bit after and attempt to stop the two. Some of us will die in this fight. I won't say who."
His fists clenched, and spoke in a low voice.
"Because of all of this temporal activity, the fabric of time itself is starting to fall apart. And a certain deity cannot except that. If this fight happens like I think it will, then he'll show up and obliterate this entire planet before Nazo and Draethik get the chance. However, we can solve this. If Draethik, Nazo, and Teracyn are killed in the fight, then the timeline will begin to restabilize. However, it will restabilize in a way different than it was supposed to be, but at least it'll be fine."
He glanced up and ran his claw through his mane, sighing.
"So... any questions?"

"Just one: who the hell are you?"
The voice was familiar, and still frighteningly unreal. Teracyn. He grabbed 'Shive' by throat, and mot of his chest, and lifted him into the air, and then looked at Myrr and Solranous.
"I don't know what your mean by 'Teracyn damaged me'. I don't damage: I kill. And I'd be happy to finish the job you seem to think I started. But first, the real reason I came," Teracyn began, dropping Future Shive. "I found out something of importance. Someone, or something, is altering the timeline more than we are. I don't know who, or why, but combined with the time travel, it's actually shattered the timeline. I suspect this worthless sack of rot came from an alternate future from mine; there wasn't enough left of you to pick up in a teaspoon in mine. Well, not enough solid anyways."
"Look, whatever he tells you may or may not happen how he tells you. First, it's all according to his timeline anyways, so if something has changed from his own actions, it will be different. Second, something else is at work here that has great skill in subtle undermining of greater events. I don't know what you can do about it, but you'd better start doing it."
"Oh, and one more thing, I'll be back." Then he disappeared in fiery portal.

Future Shive blinked.
"Wow... he has bad memory..." Future Shive muttered.
He glanced over at the others and explained,
"Nazo-grade regeneration. My Hollow side's true form had it."
His wings twitched as he glanced from side to side, then up at the moon.
Lessee.... quarter-waxing...... OH S***. He thought, getting wide-eyed.
He looked back at the others.
"Two days."

Solranous blinked for a few minutes, once again stunned by the turn of events. Finally, he just couldn't take it anymore. And, like present Shive, he lost his composure for a moment
"RAGH! WHY THE HELL DO SO MANY PEOPLE KEEP COMING FROM THE FUTURE!? AS IF LIFE WASN'T ALREADY TWISTED UP ENOUGH WITH JUST MY FUTURE SELF AND MYRR! God, I think I'm going INSANE!" The dragon soon followed up by stamping his foot on the ground multiple times, figuratively roaring his head off before he lunged into the air and took off.
Myrr blinked to herself when Solranous had had a tantrum of sorts. He never acted like this before...
"Um... What was that about?" Myrr asked, not exactly aiming the question at Future Shive. She turned to the older dragonkin and inquired, "What about two days? Is it Lora?"

((Yes, we're going by actual time... sort of...)) Future Shive blinked, then responded,
"Nazo and Draethik. They'll appear in two days. Until then, I suggest you and everyone else you know start training and getting ready."
He turned around, then let out a small sigh.
"Oh, and by the way... my current self is at the floating island Draethik created. Go find him, and either beat some sense into him, or talk to him about it. Just don't kill him, because... heh... I'd die too." He stated, his face bearing no emotion whatsoever.
He spread his wings and took off into the air, thoughts racing.
S***. I got here a week late... Now they have less time to prepare...
His fist clenched.
If only I could save them...
He then vanished into the night.

"...Um...Okay?" Myrr replied to the air, not knowning how Shive had dissapeared like that.
"I guess I should talk some sense into the Shive of this time..." she muttered.
"Leave that to me. Warn the others." Future Solranous' voice echoed into her mind. He had cloaked himself thoroughly this time, as to not be discovered. The spectral dragon would be forever ashamed if Shive, one of his best friends, found out what started this entire mess, in any form. Before Myrr could reply, she noted that the dragon's presence left from her company.
"Sometimes I really wonder what he's trying to do." the half dragon said, then shrugged, flying off to search for the others.
At the same time, Future Solranous had thought, damn it, why did I have to be so stubborn? If I had just accepted that I should just stay dead, then none of this would have happened. I wanted to stay alive to help better the world... But how is all THIS going to help ANYONE but the person who was responsible for my death?
... ...
Have I lost my way so much that I don't know what I'm trying to accomplish anymore?
