The dropship hauling Tenkyanon's 'overlord' (for lack of a better term) and his current reptilian companion slowly entered one of Tenkyanon's several launch bays, lowering to a stop before a large set of clamps popped out of the floor and grasped the ship's sides. The door opened, and the droids all filtered out before O'Malley himself stepped out, leading Onyste as he did so.
"Welcome to Tenkyanon, Docking Bay #3. Now, let's head on down to one of my labs, shall we?!" He barked, fists on his hips in a triumphant fashion.
With that, he led her out of the bay and into one of the large elevators nearby, his AI remotely linking with the ship itself.
"Lab 3-15, level 43." He muttered.
The elevator took them over what felt like several floors before coming to a halt, the doors opening to reveal a long, tubular hallway with a flat walkway along the bottom, all of lit by the strips of fluorescent white lights running down the 'walls' length. They stepped onto the path as the floor moved beneath them before stopping halfway, and a mechanized voice bellowed in a monotone voice,
"Initiating nano-cleansing process. Refrain from movement, keep all orifices closed. Sequence initiated."
"Close your eyes and mouth, quick!" O'Malley hissed.
After seeing she'd complied, the lights on the walls suddenly turned a very hazy blue, and a powerful tingle came over Onyste as her hide took on the same sheen. This went on for at least several minutes before the light reverted to normal, and the voice echoed,
"Molecular cleansing complete. Proceed."
The floor took them to the end of the hall, whereupon a large door opened to reveal a large, circular room most likely a good 50 feet around. The entire ceiling was composed of hexagonal tiles issuing fluorescent light, the walls lined with drawers and screens. O’Malley led his scaled companion to the middle of the room, whereupon he announced,
“Let’s start, shall we? I’m going to need to take a good look at you, so I can understand your physical structure.”
Several mechanical arms then ascended up from the floor, each with different devices attached to their ends. Eye-like machines began to scan Onyste, and various needles, scrapers, and claws took fluid and flesh samples. The entire process took at least two hours, the screens filling with charts and numbers the further they progressed. The process eventually stopped, and O’Malley nodded at the figures he had gathered. The arms all retracted as he turned to Onyste and stated,
“Alright, now we’re going to look over these figures, and go from there. Now due to the extensive nature of this project, it may take up to a week, a week-and-a-half tops, but it’s doubtful it’ll be that long- we work 24/7 when we have something to do. So, over that time, you’ll have to stay here on the ship, so I can do daily checkups and upgrades to your equipment. Not to mention I have another project that just now went underway, and I’ll have to check up on that. Luckily, I have many other helping hands, so… no need to worry about delays.”
The door slid open behind them, and O’Malley took one of the holographic screens with him, checking over the numbers as they were led down the hallway.
“Luckily, we happen to have living quarters for all kinds on the ship, so don’t worry about being comfortable. We’ve got food and assistants down there, so if you need anything, just ask them. I‘ll build a translator for you tonight, so you don‘t need to use telepathy… my droids won‘t be able to hear it anyway, so you‘ll have to go a night without being able to communicate. Floor 8.” He added as they stepped into the elevator.
The elevator then descended into the ship, the trip taking about five minutes before the doors slid open into what almost appeared to be a hotel hallway! The floors were carpeted, the walls were a silvery-white, and the ceiling was lined with fluorescent lights. The 6-foot wide doors were all a chrome in color, with keypads next to said doors. O’Malley punched in several numbers into the nearest door’s keypad, the door sliding open to reveal a room that looked like something out of a five-star hotel. A good 40 feet by 20 feet, the room bore a large, 10-foot circular bed lined with pillows, a long, horizontal window looking out over the blue planet below, a 60’ television screen embedded in one of the walls, a large oak desk along the wall next to the door, as well as an oak nightstand near the bed. A doorway next to the thick window led into an apparent bathroom, with a slide-away floor to reveal a 10-foot diameter bathtub; a toilet capable of changing height and width, and a sink with a mirror.
O’Malley clapped his hands together, gesturing to the speakers in every corner of the room.
“I’ll be sure to alert you when I need you; you’ll have an escort waiting outside your door to lead you there. Any questions?” He inquired.

"A night without communication with most of those on board this ship seems barely an inconvenience compared to having such accomadations during my stay. I can definitely live with this." Onyste commented as she walked in, climbing up into the bed and curling up on it, surprised that it managed to hold her weight.
"Nope, no questions, you just tell me when you're ready to start working on me." she answered as she made herself comfortable, spying a remote and bringing it over with a mag stream from her paw, before flipping on the TV in the hopes of finding something good to watch over the likely hundreds of channels O'Malley's ship could get.

O’Malley nodded, then turned and left the room, the door closing behind him. His claws clicked on the floor as he walked, and he muttered,
“Time to get to work…”
* * * * * * * * * *
((Next day, roughly noon))
A battle droid’s monotone voice abruptly buzzed over the speakers in Onyste’s room, yapping,
“Onyste! The boss wants to see you now. Looks like today’s gonna be busy for both of you.”
The door slid open to reveal two battle droids, both blue-and-chrome in color, waiting for the False Dragon. They led her back up to the lab she’d been in yesterday, to see O’Malley standing there with medical equipment, a slightly-raised platform in the middle of the room. Several devices were placed on a nearby steel table, one of which appeared to be a rolled-up, metal centipede with a series of tiny wires for the ‘head’. O’Malley gestured to the platform as he produced a large cylinder-shaped tank with a large, elongated, transparent gas-mask attached to it, stating,
“Ahh, glad you got here. Today, we’ll install the most important part of your new equipment- your neural interface. With this, you’ll be able to use your equipment with mere thoughts, as well as allow you to use the translator I made overnight. Yes, I’ll be peeling you open like an orange, so it’s crucial for you to be knocked out. Just lie down on the table, and breathe deeply when I put the mask on you. I’ll take it from there. This is extremely delicate work, so you’ll be out for… most likely half of the day.”
He led her onto the slowly-raising platform and affixed the mask to her head, cranking the knob on the container. Slowly, her eyes slid shut, and she was out like a light. O’Malley shook his head, then slid several UV lines into her form. He extended a single vibro-claw, applying it to the hide just above the back of Onyste’s head, then drew a deep incision running from the top of her neck to about halfway down her spine, said neural sheathe now visible. He then pulled forth the long, metal strip, muttering,
“Beginning operation…”
With that, he began affixing the metal strip to her bloodied spine, hooking the barbs into the bone itself. After creating a small hole in the base of her skull, he moved the top end’s wires toward her very gray matter…
* * * * * * * * * *
Two hours later, Onyste awoke to see several series of digits scroll across her vision, then disappear as quickly as they’d come. Her mask was gone, and a long, thin, but defined scar was running down her back directly above her spine.
“Ah, you’re awake. Good. The operation was a success! You now have a neural interface attached to most of your spine. There are no plugs to worry about, it’ll broadcast its signals over a frequency matching that of the equipment’s, also ensuring that only you can use said equipment. Your back may hurt for the next few days, but tomorrow’s procedure should fix that rather quickly… heh.”
He held up a finger, then quickly produced what appeared to be a black, metal collar, and slowly clicked it into place around the base of Onyste’s neck. A thin row of tiny holes around its center indicated a series of speakers, an a small, green light quickly turned on the moment it connected.
“There’s your translator. You can choose to speak in any language you know, and even control the volume and pitch by willing to do so. That simple! Now, it’s about 8:00 in your time zone, so why don’t you head back down to your room and get some rest for tonight. Your escort’s waiting just outside the door, so this’ll be a good chance to try your translator out, hmm?”
The door slid open behind her as O’Malley turned away, checking the figures on a holo-screen nearby. Sure enough, the two blue-and-gray droids were waiting just outside the door, poking their heads into the doorway.

'Oh yeah... definitely hurting from that... Well, so far O'Malley has kept his word, just like I hoped, so I have little doubt that he'll keep it in the coming days, especially the one concerning the next procedure.' Onyste thought, mildly grimacing from the pain.
'I wonder what those numbers were for... Ah well, if they were important at this moment, O'Malley would've explained them... I hope... It feels kinda strange having these changes started on me now... Would I be considered a cyborg after this is all said and done? Or just an agumented version of a false dragon? Well, it's not like it really matters...'
The false dragon gingerly walked out the door, hoping not to agrivate the pain from her newly acquired neural interface.
Onyste mentally cleared her throat, before looking towards the two droids that would be her escort back to her room. Despite the fact that she was asigned escorts, she didn't feel restrained at all, realizing that she could easily get lost on a ship of such massive proportions, regardless of her sense of direction, of which she prided herself on, boasting she could navigate a completely unknown city as if she had lived there her whole life if she was shown a map of the place just once.
Naturally, she had yet to live up to her claim, so its debatable whether or not she really can, but such bebates aren't necessary at the moment.
Onyste nodded to the droids, before passing a few thoughts to the translator around her neck, "Well, seems like everything's going well for me right now. And I am a bit wiped after coming to from whatever he used to put me under, I'd just like to head back to my room right now." she 'said' through the translator, surprised at the quality of sound it emitted and just how well it converted her thoughts into the words she wanted to say to the letter.
'I'll be damned, it really does work, to be honest I seriously doubted its ability at what it was built to do, but clearly I underestimated O'Malley. Note to self, don't do that again.'
Without a word, the droids lead her through the ship back to her temporary 'home' where she climbed back into the bed, at some point getting some dinner for herself and keeping herself entertained as she slipped back into the dream world, snoring peacefully as her body shook off what was left of the anestesia that O'Malley had used.
Her dreams took her to a fantasy she now had, of her and Kisara joining forces once again as partners, both of them far stronger then when they had seperated, with the will to stare down any monster and roar back defiantly... To never be cast aside as nothing ever again. A small, innocent smile tugged at the false dragon's lips at the last thought as she slept, everything should go back to being as normal as possible again when this was all done... That... was her wish.

((Next day))
The intercom buzzed into Onyste's room once more, most likely stirring her from sleep.
"Onyste! It's time for the third part of the operation. Report to yesterday's lab." O'Malley's voice droned.
It was essentially the same procedure as yesterday- her escorts led her back up the elevator and into the hall, then into the odd medical lab O'Malley had. The ebony droid was leaning against the wall, tending to some sort of UV machine, the tank at the top was filled with a thick, gray fluid. His pupil swiveled up to see her, and he muttered,
"Ahh, perfect timing! I just finished setting up the next stage. Alright, now if you'd just lay down on the table again..."
After the False Dragon had complied, O'Malley began reeling lengths of clear, hollow cords from the machine, each ending in a metal tip.
"Today, we're going to give you a little 'boost'... said boost granted by my favorite bran of technology, nanobots! What I'm going to do is inject this entire tank of the li'l buggers into you. They've been specifically designed to function as part of your body, kind of like suped-up white blood cells. However, these will work in much more efficient ways... for one, they will repair any type of damaged tissue at an incredible rate, giving you a form of quick-working regeneration. Secondly, they'll help you build up your muscle-mass, making you physically stronger the more you exert those muscles over a period of about 30 days. Thirdly, they'll back up your immune system, making you nigh-immune to most toxins, diseases, viruses, etc. Finally, they'll aid in reinforcing your skeletal structure even more, making it extremely difficult to break, what with your natural-metal and all."
The table elevated, and several restraints abruptly snapped out of the table's edges and bound all of Onyste's limbs in place. O'Malley then punctured a series of holes into Onyste's major arteries, sliding all of the cords into every hole, using medical tape to keep them in place.
"Sadly... this process requires you to be awake, because they won't get very far if you have a slow heartbeat. I warn you- it WILL be painful... you can have some anethesic afterwards, but you'll just have to grit your teeth this time. So, let's get this over as quickly as possible, for your sake, shall we? Procedure starting in 3... 2... 1..."
There was a slight 'click', then the gray 'fluid' started to siphon through the cords before they reached the draconic entity on the table. Several seconds passed before a horrendous pain shot through Onyste's every muscle, every nerve, every fiber of her being. This lasted for a good hour as the nano-fluid slowly drained, and at least another three hours afterward. O'Malley was carefully observing a large holographic panel, of which had a diagram of Onyste's various bodily systems, the cardiovascular being the most frequented. Whenever the screen would start showing red digits, O'Malley would skim his claws over various sections, and the digits would drop, slightly lessening Onyste's constant pain. Finally, the ordeal ended several hours later, and Onyste's full sharp, stabbing pains died away into dull aches. The restrains all snapped away, and the table lowered back into the ground as O'Malley briskly stated,
"Well, I did what I could, and the operation was successful. You held your own rather well, and I'm glad for that... now, go get some rest. This was the last surgery procedure, so tonight, I'll get to work on the real equipment. That alone should take the rest of today and most of tomorrow, so you've got the next two days off. Feel free to browse the ship, but don't strain yourself- the nanobots are still sensitive at this time. Alright? Off you go!"
He paused, then as the door opened, added,
"Oh, and Lora should be here tomorrow, so you can speak with her if you like."
With that, he led Onyste out of the lab, then the hallway, where her escort was waiting, ready to take her wherever she asked. O'Malley took a seperate route, it seemed, and was already heading for another one of his labs.

'It'll be worth it in the end... it'll be worth it in the end... it'll be worth it in the end...' Onyste kept repeating to herself, the aches more then enough to cause her to stumble slightly every now and then.
The false dragon just glanced at her escort and quickly hissed, "Room, please, don't want to inadvertantly damage anything on the ship by crashing into it... I'm sure it could probably handle it, but being safe never hurts..."
The droids seemed unconcerned with Onyste's reasoning, further supporting her suspicion that Tenkyanon could take any amount of crashing about she could dish out at it, but none-the-less lead her quickly to her room, where the false dragon lumbered over to the bed and quiet literally collasped on it, causing it to sag down somewhat.
'Just wait... someday soon... this'll all pay off...' she continued her train of thought, praying to all the gods that existed that she was right.

((NEXT DAY!!))
Roughly 16 hours later, at about mid-day, there was no intercom transmission to stirr Onyste. Instead, it was now a simple knock on the door as a feminine voice asked from behind it,
"Onyste? It's me, Lora! Umm... I have your lunch. Can I come in?"
Lora shifted on her feet, holding the large tray before her as she waited for a reponse.

Lora heard a loud tha-thump as Onyste hopped off the bed and walked over to the door, opening it and smiling slightly as she saw the lycan.
"Hey," the False Dragon greeted, not bothering to use the translator because she knew Lora could pick up on telepathy, being organic and all. Onyste glanced at the tray and used a mag stream to pick it up from Lora's hands, before standing out of the doorway.
"By all means, do come in, it'll be nice to have some company during my stay here." she continued, gesturing to invite Lora in with her head.

Lora gave a nod of thanks as she entered the room, staring at the surroundings with a smirk of approval. She folded her hands over her chest, glancing back at the False Dragon and asked,
"Nice, eh? I helped O'Malley design these rooms. I kind of had to... he doesn't know much about organic quarters... eheh."
She laughed, then made a sweeping gesture to the accomodations, and added,
"But luckily, he had the funds to afford these kinds of luxury! I told him, 'If someone's forced to stay on this ugly, complicated ship, you might as well make them comfortable!' So he did. Very well, I might add! Heh, I'm rambling now... sorry."
She sniffed, then glanced outside the window leading into the depths of space, eyeing the blue planet taking up half of the window.
"So... why exactly -are- you up here? I understand O'Malley's building something complicated for you, but what? And again, why? You seem like the last person to go to him for help... from what I see, he's already taken a toll on you..." She inquired.

The False Dragon suddenly sighed dejectedly.
"Well... first off, O'Malley approached me with the offer first. You see... there's been a sort of 'rift' that's been developing between me and Kisara... I didn't think much about it in the beginning, but then it just kept growing... Solranous kept taking up all of her time until she stopped talking to me altogether recently. That's what drove me to accept O'Malley's offer. A little something to help me be recognized again, not just by Kisara, but by all the others. You see, he's building a few sets of armor to enhance my power in the battlefield."
Onyste scowled and hung her head. "It hurts a lot to be left alone by the one you always thought would stay by you... She and I were partners, and to realize we've drifted this far apart stings me to no end. That pain drove me to do what I did, to go to these lengths. I realize I may be going about this the wrong way, but I feel it'll be worth it all in the end..."
The false dragon set down her tray and laid down, beginning to nibble at her meal.

Lora grew saddened by the response, and sighed, shoulders sagging. She then responded,
"Well, as long as it's in a positive direction you're going in, then you have my support, and all of Tenkyanon behind you. You do know O'Malley's got at least 50 other bots assisting him in this project, right? They're trying their hardest to get it done, for your sake..."
She shook her head, giving a faint laugh as she sat down on the edge of Onyste's bed.
"And do you know why? Because these bots have all had the same experience. They thought they could trust the people that made the, but were backstabbed by their organic masters, tossed aside like trash, without even questioning their rights. Tenkyanon droids hate it when such a situation comes across their path, and they come together to rectify such a situation in any way they can. In your case, they're helping O'Malley, who too has felt your pain, to help you... you've got people who care, even now, girl. Remember that." She stated.
She patted Onyste's large forehead, and deciding to go for a lighter subject, asked hesitantly,
"So what has he done to you while you've been here...?"

Onyste thought back to the past few days, recalling what O'Malley's produres had done to and for her.
"Quite a bit actually, I've got a neural interface laced along my spine now... That hurt a lot when I woke up from that one... I'm told its so I can use the new armors he's building with only a thought, as well as make use of this translator around my neck for when I'm talking with someone who can't, or won't, hear telepathy. That was the second day I was here, the first being him taking all the measurements he needed so that he could build the armor to the right proportions for me.
After all, its hard to use a set of armor that doesn't fit, heh... Anyways. Just yesterday was the most recent procedure... I've got a hell of a lot of nanobots in my body right now, and I must say, having to be awake for that one sucked... I couldn't tell you what it felt like."
The false dragon shrugged while continuing on her meal.
"Still... like you said... I've got people helping me... It's comforting to know that regardless of what happens, I'll still have somebody who cares..." Onyste finished, swallowing a bite of her meal as she looked up at Lora.

Lora winced at Onyste's recollection, replying,
"Yeah, well... I don't mean to make you nervous, but you were one of his first organic surgeries... I guess he did pretty well, regardless. Heh. So, what do the nanobots do for you? Anything to do with the armor he's making?"
She glanced at the ceiling, mutering,
"If they're anything like O'Malley's nanobots, you'll be nigh-indestructible..."
She went silent, glancing back to Onyste as she waited for a response.

Onyste suddenly balked and seemed to choke somewhat on some of her food. The false dragon recovered before Lora could jump to her aid though, and Onyste shook her head.
"I'm glad I heard that before we got all this done... I would've been too jumpy for my own good and everything could've gone horribly wrong." she commented to Lora.
"As for the nanobots, I don't think they have anything to do with the armor directly. He said that they will, quote, 'repair any type of damaged tissue at an incredible rate, giving me a form of quick-working regeneration. Secondly, they'll help me build up my muscle-mass, making me physically stronger the more I exert those muscles over a period of about 30 days. Thirdly, they'll back up my immune system, making me nigh-immune to most toxins, diseases, viruses, etc. Finally, they'll aid in reinforcing my skeletal structure even more, making it extremely difficult to break.'"
The false dragon then gave a slight smirk, deciding explain the reason the last bonus provided by the nanobots was worded the way it was before the question came up.
"After all, every bone in my body is made of a very durable metal. Horrendously difficult to break under normal circumstances, now its nigh impossible to even crack them, let alone snap them in two. I'm pretty sure there's somebody out there who can still snap them through raw power alone, though..."
Onyste brought a paw to her chin, scratching at it lightly.
"So yeah, I probably am nigh indestructible at this point..." she admitted with a shrug, "I just don't have the fire power to actually hurt an opponent yet."

Lora broke out into a crooked grin, replying,
"Ohh, don't worry about that... I'm sure O'Malley will outfit you with as much firepower as you can hold, knowing him. He has just about every weapon you could think of, and if you haven't, well... he could probably build it, and most likely would."
Lora winced slightly, rubbing the back of your head.
"Yeesh... from the sounds of it, it seems he's making you into a veritable engine of destruction... but hey, whatever works. With the rise in bad guy potency lately, you'll probably need it. Speaking of which..."
The lycan abruptly took on a worried look, and bit her lip, swinging her legs a little as she glanced at the floor.
"H... have you heard anything about some sort of... 'anthropomorphic bug' lately? O'Malley seems really paranoid, keeps talking about somebody who fits that description. Her name's 'Neresa' or something, I dunno. I can't get him to focus on the subject long enough to get a straight answer out of him."
She clutched at her arm, adding in a lower tone,
"It... it's like he's scared... but... that can't be... O'Malley's never scared, it's impossible to make him be that way... ... I'm... REALLY worried..."
