Footsteps thundered as what appeared to be a giant lizard raced by, unadorned by its normal armor and equipment. The False Dragon known as Onyste just wanted to run, unaided by any outside source. Her own power, her own speed as she ran, she wanted to feel worth while to everyone again.
She wanted something that someone of her calibur could never get, recognition by the peers around her. Onyste snorted angrily as she thought about the others, pivoting down another unkept street as she recalled them.
She had fallen so far that her own life partner in both the races and battle had failed to even acknowledge her presence with words, and it drove her mad. She didn't need to be godly powerful, didn't need to be able to crush all the others underfoot, she just wanted to be acknowledged as an equal again, if only to a few.
The false dragon finally skidded to a stop, panting.
'damn it, damn it, damn it! What do I have to do to be recognized again!?'

"You'd best watch where you're running..." A mechanical voice growled next to her.
The mechanical black tyrant known as O'Malley was standing next to her, his left foot currently being rebuilt by a swarm of nanobots. Several feet away from was him an odd device, which appeared to be a VCR, a Geiger meter, and a small satellite array all jammed together and mounted on a tripod. Several cords attached to spark-plug-like objects were stabbed into the ground, the cords connected to the underside of the machine. O'Malley glared at her, then abruptly 'blinked', noting her abrupt lack of armor... and rider.
"Onyste, right...? What are you doing out here, by yourself?"
His eye swept over her multitple times without any apparent movement, scanning her down to a molecular level.
Her nerve impulses seem irregular... hmph. Must be stressed about something. He thought.

Onyste furrowed non-existant brows at O'Malley, before glancing down at his foot and then at the likely sensitive equipment near by.
"Oops... I... I don't know if you can pick up on telepathy or not... but I'm sorry... I didn't mean to run over anything... I'm... frustrated at the moment, I wasn't paying attention to what, or rather, who was in the path..."
The false dragon's head sagged to the ground.
"I've... been having problems recently, and... I guess I just want someone who'll hear me out if they can..."

O'Malley nodded, replying,
"It's fine. Why don't you go ahead and tell me what's eating at you, hmm? My measurements are going to take a bit, so I have some spare time... and nothing else to do until then. Solitaire gets boring after a while, you know..."
He glanced back at his machine, gave a mental nod, then turned back to Onyste.
"It's got to do with your partner, doesn't it?" He inquired.

Onyste's eye rolled up to look lock with O'Malley's.
"Is it that obvious? It's just... I feel like I don't belong any more. Almost no body remembers me, let alone my name. And Kisara... I thought we were... GRAH! If I weren't so against wanton violence and he wasn't so powerful, I would have crushed Solranous' skull by now! It's his fault we've been drifting apart! She thinks I don't notice. She thinks of trying to spend more time with me, but that damn dragon keeps getting in the way! He's... He's... it's like he's captured not just her feelings of love for him, but everything else with it! SHE BARELY EVEN GIVES ME THE DIGNITY OF SPEAKING AND BEING SPOKEN TOO!" the False Dragon mentally howled.
Unfortunately her emotions slightly spilled over into O'Malley, inciting minor anger that passed just as quickly as it occured as Onyste reigned herself back in.
"S-Sorry again... I didn't mean to lose it like that..." she muttered sheepishly.

O'Malley shook his head, replying,
"It's fine, I can understand where you're coming from- people always looked at me like an object, not as a person. However..."
He folded his arms, looking skyward.
"I'm not good with trying to get people to notice me in a good way... but all I can advise you is to assert yourself. Shove Sol out of the way for once, MAKE yourself known, DEMAND her attention! Try to make her remember who you are... what you both went through, how long you've been together. If she fails to comply, tell her you're leaving, and do so if need be."
He looked back at her, then closed his eye and set a reassuring (though hard and unwielding metal) hand on her muzzle.
"You're always welcome aboard my vessel, if you wish to go through with it."
He paused, then brought his hand up to his faceplate, muttering,
"Hmm... maybe you need to get her attention in a less-direct way... if you climb the ranks around here, she might take note of you again. THAT, I could easily help with...!"

Onyste sighed to herself as she listened to O'Malley.
"For all my desire for wanting to be remembered again... that isn't one of my strong points, ironically. However, it does feel that the only way to really assure that someone gets noticed is too acquire more power. I don't need to be able to beat somebody like Shive or Solranous... I just want enough to be remembered again... You said you ccould help with that... and I'll gratefully except that help..."
Onyste then contorted her facial features, before glancing at O'Malley again.
"Not that it would change my mind, but is there anything I need to do for you first? It doesn't seem like you to just hand out favors, but then again, we've barely met, let alone conversed, so I could easily be wrong in that assumption..."

He mentally grinned, waving away her final question.
"If I have nothing on my schedule, project-wise, then it's frequent that I do favors for free. Luckily, I have some time before my next big project comes up, and I could use something to do! Hell, even your mother's daughter and her half-sister come to me from time to time because of this, and I have yet to turn them down. So why should you be an exception?"
He looked to the sky as he issued a small string of varying beeps, then looked back down to Onyste.
"I just signaled a dropship to pick us up. We've got about ten minutes before it arrives, so... any questions?" He inquired.

Onyste let a smile tug at her lips.
"No... not really, but again, thanks. I really do appreciate the help."
The False Dragon shook herself out and settled down onto the ground, waiting for O'Malley's dropship, before an important question popped into her mind.
"Wait, actually, I do have a question... How much weight can that dropship carry? I weigh a few tons... so... just hoping the dropship you called can handle that."

O'Malley issued a barking laugh, and replied,
"My dear, we ship entire platoons of ground troops and machinery at a time, and therefore need something to carry a lot of weight- So don't worry, it'll be more than capable of carrying you!"
He gave a smaller, more subtle laugh, adding,
"What I'm worried about, however, would be how much weight -you- can carry... my idea will require some backbone and durability on your part..."
He paused, then looked upwards to see one of his bulky yet streamlined dropships descend from the sky, its deep black surface constrasting slightly against the twilight sky. It slowly turned about before landing, the back of the vehicle folding open to reveal the holding bay within. Several droids, all gray and purple in color, nodded at the sight of their leader, and O'Malley waved Onyste in.
"Go ahead, they won't bite."
As he waited for her to do so, he went to retreive his machine, the device retracting its cables and folding its satellite dishes inward. He stared at the reading on the only screen the device had as it slowly became a compact machine roughly half the side it was before. He shook his head, then hauled it back onto the dropship, waiting for Onyste.

The False Dragon grinned as she hauled herself back onto her feet and trudged into the dropship, glancing at O'Malley.
"Don't worry about me, I can afford to carry about half my weight without too much trouble. I doubt anything you have planned can weigh that much," Onyste commented as she got herself settled and curled up, as to take up as little room as possible.
"Well, whenever you're ready to take off." she motioned, a patient tone laced in her mental voice.

"Heh, good to hear." O'Malley replied.
He issued a short, rising hum before his feet seemed to make another clanging noise, his magnetic feet binding him to the floor.
"But your constitution is what worries me... this equipment may take a bit of a toll on you..." He muttered below Onyste's hearing range.
He then clanged his fist on the front of the cargo bay, barking,
"Raise this damn thing! I'm all excited to get this project goin'!"
He glanced back at the False Dragon, stating cheerily,
"May wanna hold onto something..."
The ship abruptly shot into the air, then whirled around and blasted off into orbit as fast as its engines would take it.
