A single, quadrepedal figure sat atop one of the crypts, staring down at the moonlit graveyard below, its eyes shining errily yellow in the dark. A spiked tail swayed behind the dog-sized creature, its breath either failing to mist in the cold night air... or it didn't breathe at all. It abruptly jerked its head to the side as a figure with a thick Russian accent inquired, landing on the crypt roof with little to no sound,
"Ahh, thought I'd find you here. How are you feeling at the moment, my new friend?"
The draconic figure simply looked back at the graves, and replied,
"I haven't felt so alive in a long time, ironically enough."
The newcomer, a seemingly-human man with a thick, well-built frame and shoulder-length black hair gave a hearty laugh, clapping a hand on the reptile's shoulder.
"Good to hear! However, I'll warn you on your first feeding- don't go overboard with it, only one victim per week for at least the first month. Don't want you Rashrek'ing on us!"
The winged quadroped laughed, shaking his head.
"I'll be sure to make sure I don't. Oh, and Nik... thank you."
The man, 'Nik', simply blinked, arms folded, before smirking, a rather prominent pair of fangs protruding from between his lips.
"It was no trouble, little wyrmling. You have had a hard life; it was my pleasure to ensure you get to live a happy life... even if that term doesn't exactly apply here now."
The wyrmling chuckled, smiling back.
"And again, i thank you for it. Though..."
His shoulders abruptly slumped, and he issued a sigh. Nik took note of it, and crouched next to the wyrmling.
"Wondering about her?" The Russian 'man' asked.
The wyrmling nodded, his cobalt-blue scales shimmering in the moonlight in an enticing way.
"Yeah... I... I did push her away... because I was scared. Now, though I'm free from that wretched octopus... I-I dunno if I can bear to face her again... ... or if she'll even want to look at me, let alone speak with her."
He bowed his head in despair, and Nik flopped onto his hind, folding his arms again as he stared at the moon, his iris's looking red in the night's light.
"Ahh, though you're immortal, you have much to learn still... 'love knows no bounds', as they say. If she truely does care, she will take you back, no questions asked. All you have to do is be there for her to do so..." He replied, waving a hand about.
The wyrmling 'hmph'ed, replying,
"I hope you're right..."
Nik laughed, adding,
"Besides, she'll live for centuries!! I'd say that's more than enough time to mend the wounds!"
The young dragon gave a small laugh, grinning a little through his new fangs.
"I guess so..."
Nik nodded, rising to his feet. He walked to the edge of the crypt's roof, finishing,
"And remember- if you ever need us, our 'club' is at the edge of the abandoned district! We'll always be there to help if you need it!"
The mysterious entity then walked off the edge of the roof, dissapearing into a sudden rush of fog that went as fast as it came. The wyrmling was to himself now as he stared back out over the gravestones, humming to himself as he swayed his tail.

And yet, over his humming, the vampiric wyrmling managed to hear a voice in the distance, the one he had been thinking about previously.
"Mortis! ... Mortis, where are you!?" Cynder called out, winging through the air in short bursts and serveying the area below here.
"damnit, he looked so sickly last time I saw him, just how far could he have gotten?" the onyx wyrmling muttered to herself.
The young dragoness continued to search out for Mortis, althhoguh the lack of knowing where to look was making finding him very troublesome...

Mortis blinked in a sort of 'surprised laziness', muttering,
"Well... speak of the devil herself."
He sighed, glancing to the side.
Do or die now, I suppose... let's see how it goes.
He took to the air, gliding noiselessly through air before landing atop a gravestone next to the black dragoness. He was directly interposed between Cynder and the moon, casting his shadow on her and erasing any visible details for his fellow wyrmling to see.
"Hey... long time no see, eh?" He asked with a tired smile.
His tail swayed as he awaited a response, his eyes glowing rather strangely in the dark.

Cynder wheeled around when she heard the voice, glancing up at the cobalt wyrmling.
"M-Mortis!? What happened to you before, how are you ok now... and why are your eyes glowing?" she asked, worrisome at first, before drifting to confusion.
'I've seen him a lot, and his eyes do not normally glow...' Cynder thought to herself, head tilted at Mortis with one eye brow raised.
"Most important thing, though... are you ok?" she finished.

Mortis smiled down at Cynder, exposing a fang through his smirk.
"Long story... but I suppose you have the time for it. Basically, that Khimera guy showed up, bigger and more powerful than before. He literally absorbed my Elder form, and with it, the energy Cthulhu gave me to keep me alive. While I was finally rid of his grip, I was also dying..."
He seemed to slither down the front of the grave, , touching down before Cynder. The moonlight now defined his features, showing him to, while looking very healthy, also seemed a bit skinnier at the same time. His fangs were much larger and more prominent, and he bore some sort of supernatural charisma about him now.
"Luckily, however, I was found by a residential Nosferatu... a vampire. He grew concerned at my state, and knew there was only one thing he could do for me at that point. He asked me, 'Boy... do you want to continue living? I can give you that ability, but... it will cost you. You'll no longer be among the living, yet you'll be able to exist for ages, even longer for someone of your species. If you really want to live... this is the only way.' I thought about it. I could only think of one reason to do so... and that was you. I knew I'd hurt you by running off like that... not speaking to you until now... and... I-I'm sorry for that. But something told me I had to stay among the living. So... I said yes."
He sighed, closing his eyes as he spread his wings, fangs gleaming.
"As you can see... I'm now a Hemata, a draconic vampire. I can still age naturally, or the way I want to... but I require blood to continue existing. I'm still picky on victims, though..."
He opened his eyes, and stared at her in a sorrowful way.
"I... it was the only thing I could do... ... so... what... what's your opinion on this?" He asked meekly.

Cynder smiled lightly.
"Hey... things worked out. Cthulu has nothing on you now, you can live as you want to live... mostly... It's nice knowing your finally free from that monster..."
The onyx wyrmling smirked.
"And hey, who knows what kind of possibilities this opens up..."
She slowly walked up to the cobalt hemata, wrapping a wing over his shoulder.
"I still care. Maybe you're different on the outside..." she paused to plant a light kiss on his cheek, "But its still you inside, and that's all that really matters..."

He smiled back at her, resting his cheek against hers.
"Well, that's a relief... most people don't knowingly, or willingly, hang around bloodsuckers." He replied airily.
His smile turned into a fang-bearing smirk, and he added in an amused tone,
"Oh, and... I promise I won't bite... hard..."
He playfully nipped at her to emphasize his statement, then gave her a peck on the end of her muzzle. He sighed, glancing about at the graveyard, face contorting a bit.
"... well, this is awkward... a vampire in a graveyard... I may be dead, but there's still something about this place I don't like."
He paused, pupils abruptly contracting into nigh-slivers as his back stiffened, then his expression reverted to normal. He winced, muttering,
"I haven't fed since I finished my change... ugh... that was a week ago. I feel a little woozy."

Cynder's eye twitched, realizing just what such a statement could mean for her.
"I'm guessing there's not enough time for one of us to find some one for you to bite."
The onyx wyrmling sighed to herself, wondering just what she got herself into when she turned down the offer to go back home so long ago. Oh well, she's been too far into this mess for a while now to back out.
"Alright, just how much do you need right now?" Cynder finally asked after weighing options on what she knew.

Blankly staring into the distance, Mortis replied in a spaced tone,
"Oh, just a few pints would keep me tied over for a week or so..."
Something clicked in his mind, and he glanced at her, eyes widening.
"You're not serious... I can't feed on you! I... I'd hurt you in doing so...! I can't fully control myself when I do this!"
He winced, then coughed up a small handful of red dust. He glared at it as it settled to the ground, and muttered,
"Ignore that."

Cynder just narrowed her eyes in stare that pretty much conveyed the feeling of, 'Don't argue with me, just do it.'
"Clearly you don't have enough time to find someone else if that dust is what I think it was. I'll recover soon enough, and besides, its not like I'm gone even if I don't recover. Hollow half, remember?"
"I'm not your personal safety net, damnit!" the Hollow in question howled as one of Cynder's eyes turn black and yellow.
"Not like you have much of a choice..."
"Besides, how do you know I'd stay this one if you went and died and the two of us do become one entity as a Hollow, how do you even know that would happen in the first place?"
"... I don't..."
The hollow mentally face-faulted at that, but let Cynder be on the issue, as indicated by the onyx wyrmling's eye returning to normal. She returned that stare of her's back to Mortis and held her neck exposed.
"Just do it, its not like either of us have any other options."

He gave a shuddering sigh, replying,
"Alright... but if I can't stop, do it for me..."
With that, he stretched forward, exposing his fanged maw as his jaws split open. His cold breath curled around Cynder's neck before he closed his eyes and, hoping to reduce the feeling, quickly sank the fangs into her neck, automatically finding a major vein. Blood dribbled down his chin as he began to siphon off of the black wyrmling, pupils dialating and un-dialting again as he struggled to control himself. Within a minute, at least a pint of blood had already been taken, and Mortis quickly removed his teeth, shaking his head as if to rid it of a thought. With a swift tongue, he quickly removed all traces of blood from his chin, his glimmering again in the night, pupils slightly dialated. He then gave Cynder a worried glance, and huddled next to her, now draping his wing over her back.
"I... did better than expected, but I think you lost a good 4th of your blood from that endeavor... gah... you need to rest, for now."
He smiled sadly at her, muttering,
"And... thanks."

Cynder was light headed from the loss of blood. Disoriented as she was, she set herself down to avoid falling and possibly injuring herself in some way. She was still able to hear, however, and she waved her paw in response to the thanks.
"No need... I'm sure... you would've... done the same... if the roles were... reversed..." She muttered wearily. "Ugh... I gotta sleep... Didn't think it'd... hit me that hard... night..."
Her head dropped to the ground at that, and soon she was out like a light, peacefully resting.

Mortis sighed, laying down next to her as he watched her sleep. His face softened as he brushed a claw along her cheek, muttering,
"Night... hmph. That's the only time I can see you now... but... as long as I can still do so, I don't mind."
He draped his neck across hers, watching the night sky as the black dragoness slept.
"Never to see the sun again... bah! I prefer nighttime anyway." He barked.
He grinned at that, eyes seeming to glow once more in the dark...
