Two figures walked together hand-in-hand, one was Blaze, and the other, his wife whom he'd been searching for. She had a deep, almost luminescent yellow fur coat, thin long ears and stood head level with Blaze. The Fox anthro shivered and held her husband close. "Wow this place is so much different than back home." Rena stated in a relaxed tone, as she gazed at the stars in awe.
"Told ya." Blaze replied, feeling Rena's shiver. The red dragon took off his coat and lightly covered her. The two smiled at one another.
"Why isn't anyone else here? Its only 3:30 in the morning."
"The people here usually wake up at 8 to 9 o'clock, its weird I know."
They reached a bench and sat, still holding each other. A noise caught their attention as they both looked up to see Aner, another Fox anthro who looked nearly identical to Rena. The only difference was that her fur was black, moving and shifting as if it were fire. She was running around as if she was looking for something, or someone.
"Hey! how 'bout ya go sexually harass the local wild life so Rena and I can be alone!" Blaze yelled trying not to laugh.
"Can-do Lil' Red!" Aner yelled back running off into the night of the early morning.
Rena and Blaze sat in silence for nearly twenty minutes, simply enjoying each-other’s company. Rena shot to her feet and yelled.
"IDEA!" She motioned Blaze to stay seated as she took a few steps back. Rena threw her arms into the air causing the coat to fall and began sprinting at Blaze.
"Uh!?" Blaze began to panic before she leaping-tackled Blaze to the ground, breaking out the back of the bench. She ripped through his shirt as she began to run her fingers across his chest.
She stopped looking at his tattoo curiously.
"something wrong Hun?" Blaze asked as Rena's eyes widened.
He looked down to see his tattoo glowing yellow, and bleeding badly, Blaze rubbed his eye, and as he opened them again everything was changed, Rena was gone, the bench was fixed, the moon was red, and everything was in black and white.
Blaze shot to his feet and looked around in panic.
"RENA! RENAAA!!!" the red dragon roared. A scream caught his attention as he spun around seeming nothing. He rubbed his eyes again, they opened again as everything was back to the way is was, he looked down as Rena was still sitting on the ground looking on in confusion. Blaze fell to the ground grabbing his chest in pain.
"Honey!" Rena ran over and grabbed his hand and shoulder. "Are you okay!?
Blaze looked up at her, sighed and hugged her "yea...I think s-"
He gasped as he seemed to fall through his wife, she dissipated into the air as again, the scenery reverted back to its surreal stare.
"damnIT!! NO! Eko get your stupid ass out here! NOW!"
Nothing happened, Blaze looked around now enraged. Another scream caught his attention, he turned around. Terror filled his soul at the sight. Nosis was holding Rena's decapitated head, laughing, he held up the head, and a burst of energy exploded it, blood spray covered the ground as an eye hit Blaze's forehead.
The red dragon froze in place, his hands began to shake and tears ran down his cheeks. "Aw...did you like her or something? I couldn't tell...hmm, well at least I got your attention!" Nosis slowly walked over to Blaze and rested his hand on his shoulder.
"Ok, now, the important thing is, you can hear me no-"
He was interrupted as Blaze swiftly lifted his hand, impaled it though Nosis's throat, grabbed his spine and forced it out the other side, covering the ground in blood. Blaze's eye turned flat black, skin darkened, and scars formed, but this wasn't Eko. Blaze lifted Nosis into the air, blood fell from him covering the now changed dragon. Blaze opened his mouth as it filled with the glowing dragon’s blood.
Time seemed to skip as Nosis was teleported a few yards away. He coughed and choked, rapidly healing. The scenery changed back as both of them where now in a different part of the park, Blaze flexed his wing and back muscles as spikes emerged from them, his wing leather falling to the ground as the wings themselves formed into two large bloody spikes, his horns became longer and sharp and he began to glow a dark yellow with black energy swirling around, carving small craters into the ground, and all three Gates of Ren were opened.
"Hmm... well now I’m not going to tell you what I had planned..."
Nosis stood and took a fighting stance, grinning ear to ear, the two locked eyes for a few moments as Blaze leapt into the air, teleported in front of Nosis and impaled his toe claws into his skull with a loud boom, he pulled back and set his foot back down. Nosis held his smile as his head healed.
"My turn."
He quickly ducked down and uppercut Blaze in the jaw, a loud crackling sound was heard as he was sent flying into the air and crashing first through a large tree and then the ground with an audible 'thud'. The scarred dragon slowly stood as a few teeth fell from his maw. Nosis began to get the upper hand as he bombarded Blaze with several brutal punches and kicks.
"Told ya." Blaze replied, feeling Rena's shiver. The red dragon took off his coat and lightly covered her. The two smiled at one another.
