The crystalline beast known as Cresence scowled as he paced around the crater's lip.
"What the hell is with this surge of energy? I can sense everything flourishing even more here now... but the lava in the volcano itself most of all... What happened while I was out and about?"
At the end of his audible musing, the living surge glanced into the volcano, as if staring into its depths would provide an answer.
"You know only as much as I do, but it's rather... convenient... for me at least."
At the unknown voice, Cresence started to spin to face whoever spoke. "Who are- GAH!" but before the living surge could lay eyes on the new comer, he was shoved into the volcano, and a boulder, presumably held by the new comer, smashed into his head, splattering it and rendering the crystalline beast unconscious.
"Good... don't want any telepaths seeing my face." the shadow covered figure smirked, fangs glimmering in the light.
