Name: Neresa
Age: 26
Alignment: Neutral
Species: Genetically-altered human
Height: 7’5
Weight: 213 pounds
Length: N/A
Wingspan: 11 feet
Description: A tall, lithe, anthropomorphic insect is the only was to describe Neresa, though it cannot possibly be an earth-based insect. She still bears a feminine figure, though covered in smooth, bony, bluish-green carapace with a blackish flesh visible between the gaps. She bears double-jointed legs and two apparent ‘wing-plates’ on her back, each foot and hand ending in flexible claws; three on the feet (two in front, one in back), four on the hands, of which can become solid, sharper, and inflexible if she wills them to. Her head would be her most defining feature, though- A stumpy (length-wise), bullet-shaped head with the back end tapering slightly upwards into a dull point, and the front end bearing elongated, interlocking mandibles stretching to a third of the head‘s length, behind which a surprisingly human mouth can be seen, were it not full of sharp, black teeth. Her reflective eyes are hateful and sky-blue in color with a slightly-iridescent black, slit-shaped pupil in their center; the eyes themselves seem to bear a slight compound look to them upon closer inspection. A cluster of limp, segmented, gray-black stalks reaching down to the middle of her back sprout from the back of her head, appearing as an insect imitation of hair. The only remnants of her feminine aspects are her skinny build, wide hips, and two well-proportioned bulges in her chest plates. The only apparel she wears is what seems to be a black, skin-tight jumpsuit composed of a substance similar to rubber, and is separated into arm and leg-sleeves (both sets detachable), a short-sleeved top, and a pair of shorts, accompanied by large gray-black combat boots.
Abilities:
Halfblood Abilities- Neresa has extremely potent physical abilities, all of which are roughly 40 times greater than that of a normal human’s- strength, speed, reflexes, durability, etc. Also, her eyes allow her to see in several vision spectrums (infrared, electromagnetic and a weak X-Ray), she has a very strong resistance to electricity and poisons, and her array of hair-antennae allow her to sense movement in up to a 30-foot radius.
Wing Vibrations- When Neresa’s gossamer, dragonfly-like wings are unfolded, she can flap them at such rapid speeds (required for flight as well) that they issue a powerful buzzing noise. This is actually a series of ultrasonic waves that short-circuit almost all circuitry (only the heavily protected are immune) within a 50-foot radius at all times, as well as cause headaches in living targets. This can be sustained for as long as she can flap her wings (which is quite a long time, seeing as she can fly up to 60 mph).
Regeneration- Neresa has a form of slow regeneration, capable of regaining lost limbs if held to their stumps for several seconds and repairing large wounds or organs over an hour’s time, depending on their severity. Will not restore life lost through decapitation or heart-loss (though she has two now).
Poison Spray- Neresa can spray a thin, blue mist (dubbed as such) from glands located in the back of her throat that cause serious trouble for any organic target coming into contact with it. It can inflict extreme physical pain and hallucinations, even short-term insanity in some targets if exposed to large quantities. Effects usually last for about an hour or two; Neresa only has enough for a single spray before she is forced to produce more, requiring 24 hours before her glands are full. She’s immune to its effects.
Testosterone Boost- Despite her changes, Neresa still produces testosterone, and now has complete control over it. At will, she can jump-start her testosterone, making her move even faster and stronger for short bursts at a time, roughly another 40% faster and 25% stronger for about 10 seconds, to be precise.
Personality: A very serious, intelligent, straight-to-the-point entity, Neresa despises everyone around her, period. If it weren’t for the fact she’s paid for killing only specific people, or needs info, she’d just slaughter anyone she sees at any given time. Usually, she does. She’s got very little humor left in her, usually staying quiet and to herself. She harbors an extremely deep love/hate relationship with O’Malley, speaking to him like a lover one second and a bitter enemy the next.
History: The creation of a ‘super soldier’ project using the genes of a race of vicious insects known as Tirbana, she was crafted by the same branch of the dead tyrannical organization known simply as ‘The Empire’. She had once been a renown mercenary, but was forcefully subdued and put into the experiments after trying to kill one of the head scientists, repeatedly brainwashed and tortured before forcefully undergoing a monstrous physical transformation along with several dozen other ‘guinea pigs’. Only a 4th of the subjects made it through the process, one of which was a broken Neresa. From there, they had been put through even harder training, Neresa being poked and prodded at every turn for information on her new form’s abilities. She and her common specimens finally broke free of their mental restraints and overthrew their captors, killing over half of the compound’s residents with ease, utilizing their new-found abilities.
Unfortunately, Neresa was the only one to actually survive the attack and escape, grasping at hope for a life that the Empire had taken from her. She eventually reassumed her bounty-hunting ways under her monstrous new guise, which surprisingly allowed her to complete her jobs with terrible force and efficiency, until she ran into another one of the Empire’s refugee children, of whom took up a similar fate- O’Malley himself. She and the droid clashed over many occasions, building a harsh rivalry as they learned what one-another really were, which only fueled the fires of their hate. Her latest job has her actually hunting the droid down, and has led her to our tiny mudball of a planet, but the specifics are unknown…
Equipment/Belongings:
Powered Exo-Suit- An almost-full suit of angular, boxy, dark-green armor, when activated, boosts her already-potent physical abilities by another 30%. Not only that, but the armor’s outer plating is constructed with a type of metal known as cortosis, an ore with extremely potent heat and energy resistant properties, as well as an array of sensors and fast-working computers in the heads-up view on her helmet. It bears several boosters that together, allow her to reach speeds of up to 120 mph with decent maneuverability. It runs off of a miniaturized fusion reactor, giving it nigh-unlimited power. Multiple weapons are attached to or stored in her armor as well, as listed below.
Thunder Gauntlet- The right forearm/gauntlet on Neresa’s armor can in fact expand apart in certain areas, making it appear larger due to an array of heat vents previously under certain plates, and the finger-plating extends out, resembling large claws; but the largest change would be the large, neon-blue lines arcing across the inside of the hand into the palm. At will, she can cause the hand itself to produce large amounts of super-heated electricity, of which several seconds of exposure to can easily kill a large animal or fry the interior of even some of the most well-protected machinery. Can be sustained for up to 8 seconds at a time, requires a twenty-second cool-down time afterwards; the arm itself is insulated against its own effects.
Auto Grenade Launcher- Mounted on her armor’s back, this long, black tube attached to a rectangular prism has a thick, 1-foot-around metal circle interjecting its mid-point. She can shift the weapon up onto her shoulder, whereupon it can discharge egg-shaped, explosive projectiles at a semi-automatic rate. Each explosive has about the strength of a normal grenade, and only bears 9 rounds at a time, but the staggering rate they can be fired at (once per two seconds) and its range (up to 250 feet) can cause serious damage and disarray. To add to its potency, the types of grenades can be exchanged with a wide array of effects (i.e. cryogenic, shrapnel, stun, etc.) for variety in multiple situations.
Repeating Blasters- Two rectangular, barrel-less (barrels part of weapons) firearms roughly 7 inches in length. These weapons are capable of firing bursts of red-orange colored energy at a rapid rate for up to 10 seconds at a time (before auto cool-down kicks in), each with the strength to pierce several inches of weak metal. Require their energy packs to be replaced after a good 100 seconds worth of fire. Can be stored in armor’s hip-plates.
Heavy ACP Cannon- A large, bulky weapon with its handle located on the top and a thick, octagonal barrel, this weapon has two modes of fire- automatic and charged. Automatic can fire off devastating bolts of purple-white energy capable of tearing through a foot of heavily-reinforced concrete within seconds, with a rate of fire sustainable up to 15 seconds. Charged mode can emit one large burst of energy capable of tearing halfway through a heavily armored tank in one shot after 5 seconds of charging. Both modes require a minute-long cool-down time, and the weapon can be linked to Neresa’s armor for charging when depleted (or running out of) energy. Highly explosive if destroyed, storable on armor‘s back.
Saber Coil- Stored in the bottom of her left bracer’s forearm is a multi-purpose length of flexible, spike-tipped metal. It’s total length is 20 feet, and can be retracted with up to a ton of force, making it an effective grappling hook. The individual links of metal can vibrate at extremely high frequencies, allowing for high cutting potential as a whip, and can deploy small barbs along its extended length
Sonic Disrupter- On her armor’s left forearm is a boxy weapon composed of an elongated, rectangular prism with a hemispherical indent in its front end, flanked by a pair of smaller, otherwise-exact prisms with a small, metal ‘spike’ protruding from their front ends. The weapon can discharge waves of harsh sonic energy capable of disintegrating matter if exposed to it long enough (roughly 4 seconds for most average-sized humanoids), or inflicting serious physical damage in short bursts. Excellent for disorienting opponents, fire is sustainable for up to 8 seconds at a time.
Dart Launcher- A small port on the underside of her armor’s right bracer, this device can fire off small, metal darts with surprising force and accuracy through an air-compression system. The darts can penetrate a brick wall with ease, and the darts are usually filled with a sort of paralytic poison or even worse compounds, the most terrible being a type of nano-tech virus that eats victims from the inside-out.
Particle Shield- A deployable, oval-shaped field of shimmering, clear energy roughly 6 feet long produced from the back of her left gauntlet, this barrier is quite efficient at blocking physical attacks of all kinds, but has trouble with energy-based attacks, of which can cause it to short out. Sustainable for up to 30 seconds at a time, and capable of blocking up to a ton of force.
Data Spike- A mysterious, prism-shaped object with retractable cords designed for forced entry into computer consoles and the like. It’s a program-storage device, and is the basis behind her entire mission…
