As above, except abdomen is covered in segments of the same chitin as the rest of the body, ending in a small stinger. Wings are like wasp’s or a beetle’s, complete with ‘shells’ covering them when not in use, and has six instead of two. His carapace in general appears more organic, and he has three claws on each hand instead of two. The two larger mandibles are slightly more curved, the chitin is a shade of light, or yellow-green, and covers all of the body (except the joints; the green areas in the pic are gray-black).
Abilities:
Acid Spray- Daraku can exhale a blast of sticky green acid from his mandibles. The acid can eat through steel quickly, and is sticky enough to bind limbs for a short amount of time. He can fire this in streams, ‘gobs’, or wide sprays.
Sonic Wings- Daraku can flap his wings over 1000 times per second, allowing him to fly. However, he can increase their sound output, causing a horrid screeching to emit forth from them. Anything within 1000 feet is assaulted by these sonic waves, shattering glass and eardrums, and short-circuiting machines. Daraku can focus these into a straight line in front of him, damaging the structural integrity of anything within it’s way horribly. Alternatively, he can quiet the wings down to a soft droning hum, making his wings flash like light shone through a crystal. This ability forces all those who hear it to become disoriented and sleepy, some even falling into a deep slumber.
Organic Blades- Daraku can cause 30-foot long blades to spring forth from his wrists. The blades can slash/pierce nigh anything weaker than diamond, and are as strong as the rest of his exoskeleton.
Stinger Venom- Daraku’s abdomen-stinger holds a powerful paralysis venom, able to pump hundreds of gallons into an equal-sized victim. (on kaiju scale) the venom can take effect within a few seconds, but for those more resilient to toxins, it takes longer. If so much as a drop is splashed on a human-sized victim, they could die almost instantly.
Flash Blast- Daraku can cause the plating between his antennae to open, revealing a glowing organ. The organ will gather in particles of energy, the same type of energy crackling between the antennae as the attack charges. After two seconds, the insect will unleash a blast of bright yellow energy, powerful enough to blast through three skyscrapers before dying out. This attack is taxing on Daraku’s energy sources, and so he can only use it once every five minutes so the chemicals that allow him to do so can replenish themselves, as well as his energy supply.
Tough Exoskeleton- Daraku’s exoskeleton is like tempered steel, making him much more durable than he looks; he could take a full-sized Spiral Grenade Missile and still keep going. The chitin itself contains a special nonflammable compound that keeps him from igniting if struck by flame, and is highly resistant against corrosive substances.
Energy Leech- If Daraku has his mandibles stabbed into a living being for a minute, he can proceed to drain the very fuel that keeps them alive, feeding himself. He can absorb as much energy as the host has (unless it surpasses his own), adding it to his own supply. He can even copy a random trait from his victim by doing so; usually gaining a piece of his victim’s anatomy, or a new ability, or even both sometimes.
Burrow- Daraku can travel underground at a speed of 120 mph.
Personality: Daraku is a creature of single-minded hunger… or so one would think at first glance. True, the insect has an insatiable hunger, and seeks to devour both energy and flesh alike, but he’s actually a very intelligent predator. He plans out his attacks, studying his opponent (or victim) intensely, trying to decipher their movements. If he deems it necessary, he will attempt to communicate via clicking (which, strangely enough, sounds exactly like Morse Code). If he isn’t hungry, he won’t fight unless provoked.
History: Daraku came to Earth millions of years ago, originally as a large extraterrestrial that fed off of energy (go figure). It lived by constantly adapting and upgrading its DNA and physical structure by absorbing other life-forms. Somewhere around the Triassic Era, the critter had assumed the form of a humanoid insect by devouring the local creatures, but it was growing weak. The life forms on this planet were too small, and still developing; they couldn’t provide enough energy for the alien! Finally, the beast fell into a deep slumber after running dry, shortly before life at that time had mysteriously died out. Millions of years later, a mining expedition found the creature buried under tons of rubble within the mountains. Being the imbeciles humans are, the miners accidentally woke it up, releasing the beast into the current world to unleash its pent-up havoc…
