Name: Chronepsis
Alignment: Neutral
Divine Rank: God
Attributes: Time, Fate, and Death
Height: 50 meters (around; full size)
Weight: 500,000 tons (full size)
Length: 700 meters
Wingspan: 500 meters
Description: A massive serpentine dragon with two thin, clawed legs positioned about a fourth from the head. The scales are jet-black, yet those who look closer see more. The scales make Chronepsis look as if the beast had been crafted from the cosmos itself, for stars, planets, and deep recesses of space seem to be shown within his serpentine frame. He has silver, serpentine eyes with a black iris that seem to bore into the soul itself. The back of his head bears a large display of triangular horns, some sweeping backwards, some almost completely up, and other in-between. His wing fibers seem to shimmer with every color possible. He constantly seems to shrink and expand, as if aging rapidly, then reversing the process (which is actually true). A single, pure white, oval-shaped gem is embedded in his forehead, and a long mane of silver hair emerges from the back of his ‘crown of horns’.
Abilities:
Master of Time- Chronepsis has the ability to affect time throughout the cosmos, completely. He can freeze it, speed it up, slow it down, travel through it, etc. However, this ability causes his body to do something strange: he continuously ages at a rapid rate, and upon reaching his full size (and ‘age’), shrinks back down until he reaches 10 feet in length.
Bringer of Death- Chronepsis has complete control over the forces of death as well. He can even bring a deceased deity back from the dead, if he so chose. However, he cannot kill a deity at the snap of a finger; their powers halt his if such an event occurs.
Wielder of the Skein- Chronepsis has complete power over the forces of fate. He can make something not exist, he can wipe someone’s mind blank of even the most insignificant memory.
The Watcher- Chronepsis can see everything, anywhere, anytime. He is omnipotent, and is one the wisest gods because of it. He can delve into anyone’s mind and soul whenever he pleases, and can read their deepest secrets.
Cosmic Devastator- Even if they are formidable, Chronepsis can’t rely on his time-manipulating and life-manipulating powers all the time. So, if forced to engage in combat, Chronepsis can fire a blast of transparent energy from his maw. The energy is sheer cosmic force, and cannot be halted by anything. It has a short charge time, so it isn’t rapid fire.
Personality: Chronepsis is, in short, a watcher. He watches the flow of time, the threads of fate, and the lives of mortals. He is destined to watch it for all eternity, and has become rather cold about it. He is silent, emotionless, and above all, unsociable. Nothing above a universal calamity can move him from his post at the Eye of Truth, which was his creation in the first place. However, he will talk to others if they can manage to get his attention. Even then, he still isn’t very talkative.
History: Chronepsis was one of the Watchers, the first five deities to ever exist. From the beginning of time, he was given the ‘paperwork’ position of the Pantheon, watching every second of every day of every millennia for eternity. He has only left his chamber seven times in all of existence,
Equipment/Belongings: None, though he does like to carry around an hourglass filled with sand that constantly changes color.
Theme Song: Blue Oyster Cult- Don’t Fear the Reaper
