Aphostos aka The Titan's Hammer Neutral Titan
8'4" 2,400 lbs
Description: Put Superman’s Doomsday, a gorilla, and a V-Rex in a blender and Aphostos is what comes out. His stance is humanoid, but hunchbacked. He has long arms like a gorilla, and they are disproportionally long for his body. He has smooth black skin that resembles polished stone. He also has bony spikes and scutes in such number that they form thick armor that covers portions of his body. His upper arms, upper legs and thighs, the lower parts of his forearms by the wrists, the outsides of his shins, and along his spine is covered by the uneven bone armor. The bones have a weathered, aged look to them, being bleached white with time. Some of the spikes are longer; these are usually hollow, the honeycomb of decayed marrow only partially filling the inside.
His head is mostly saurian and has smaller black versions of the same scutes that cover parts of his body. He has three fingers and a thumb on each hand, but the third finger is only half the size of the other two. He has large claws that can be extended to surprising lengths (proportionally similar to Lady Deathstrike from X2). He also has secondary claws that are extendable, and only protrude when the main claws are extended. These secondary claws are viciously curved like raptor talons, unlike the somewhat straighter main claws. The legs are a little shorter than a human’s would be, proportionally, but are much stronger.
Equipment
Gijunrur: Aphostos’ hammer. Where to begin? It’s a 6’ war hammer made from the same bone material as his bony spikes. It has a long handle for one or two-handed use. Though it has a few small spikes and pointy protrusions on it, it’s mostly about blunt trauma and impact force. The middle of the hammer’s massive head is carved hollow, with slits in the head that allow this hollow core to be seen, and it houses the black hole that helped him gain his strength. This black hole makes the hammer have an extraordinarily high mass, which gives it a huge amount of force when swung. The hammer can be summoned or sent away at will as well. Note that the black hole no longer absorbs matter.
Abilities
Strength: Due to his origins, Aphostos literally has Godly strength. Put it this way, Thanatos is a complete wimp compared to Aphostos.
Immortal: For all intents and purposes, Aphostos cannot die. It's a perk of being a Titan and having immortal parents. He can be defeated and he dissapates once his mission is complete or failed.
Aphostos is incredibly agile. He is uncannily flexible and has surprising speed. He can also leap huge distances and heights.
Aphostos’ spikes and claws are Godly weapons that can rend through most armor like tissue.
Aphostos' skin and bony-spiky armor are incredibly tough, able to take all but the most severe attacks without serious damage.
Aphostos’ bones are incredibly strong, and they're nigh impossible to break.
Personality: Determined, even single-minded, are good words to describe Aphostos. He is quiet and only focuses on finding what his immortal lords would have him find. He won’t attack those that aren’t targets given by his lords, no matter they are doing. The only exceptions to this are if they attack him or prevent him from reaching his goal. Also, Aphostos will almost never attack first, letting his opponent/target do that for him.
History: Aphostos is a titan. He was left in the universe and not sealed away due to his youth at the time of the great sealing. Later, as a youth he sought out the greatest titan, Typhon, seeking ultimate strength. When asked if he would prove himself for it, he agreed. Typhon then gave him his burden for eon. He was given two black holes which he had to hold apart as they tried to force themselves together into a large black hole. To prevent him from being destroyed, Typhon gave Aphostos unlimited regeneration. This meant that the matter that was being ripped from his being could fuel the black holes since it was being replaced. Eventually, he was deemed worthy of his strength. At this time, Typhon freed him, and gave him his position. The age-long test had granted him the strength he sought, as well as molded his form. As a gift for his strength, Typhon took the two black holes. One he made into a hammer for Aphostos. The other he left as a monument.

I wonder if anyone else knows what the other black hole is for... Arthur/Aphostos: APPROVEDBTW, very good job on the history. It's almost exactly like an old Greek legend.

Thanks. As my "ultimates", the Titans, are largely based on mythology, I thought it fitting to tie their origins into the stories that gave them birth. Though, I'm wondering, Aphostos' story is meant to kind of be a fusion of Heracles and Atlas, was there another myth you know of that sounds more like his story? If so, I'm very interested.

Uh... hmm. No, I don't think so. Atlas/Hercules is the best thing I can think of.
It's still not as bad as his kaiju form... *floor gets wet*
*Wonders if Aphostos ever fights Nid's Spacegodzilla*

Hmmm...now that'd be a slugfest to see. The black hole son vs. the bastard child of the universe. Dang. I might have to write a fanfic about that one.
