So after waiting a month for the programs to arrive and then another half a week for the registration keys it has finally arrived... my 1st AMV. Recently I got both Talon and Azure to watch Dual Parallel Trouble Adventure and decided that I would make my first AMV for Zinv(pronounced Jeen-Boo) he seems to have a lacking in support on the web. So here it is and please leave a rating and any C&C you might have for me so I can make the next one even better.

Hrrmmm... I gotta say, this was damn good for a beginning video. The video clips matched up with the beat of the song most of the time and it was great with no special effects for the cuts. Now, here are some tips to help you: You had a good amount of footage that was just one single piece that wasn't edited. What you need to do is have the clips no more than 3 seconds. Yes, some clips MAY match up with the song, but its just obvious that there wasn't much editing in that part. Something else, even though you mostly did this, is listening to the flow of the music. Listen to, not just the guitar or drums in the background, but the singer as well. This helps determine which clips to use. For example, when the singer says "Do you want it?" then there is the "WHOA" (can't describe the sound but you'll get what I mean), instantly cut to and action clip of the main guy punching someone in the face. When it goes "Do you need it?", use another clip that would fit the mood and then when the other "Whoa" comes up, again, do the action stuff. There was also points where you'd had a scene that would fit PERFECTLY with the song, but it was a few seconds off. Be careful about that because it can ruin certain moments of the MV quickly. Another thing to do is just watching other videos. Gather information by observing others. When you watch a video, think of "What did they do", "How did they do it?", "What did they do bad?", and "What could be improved and how could I improve it?". Gaining this knowledge lets you be able to not copy someone's style, but help create your own. If you didn't like that it wasn't flashy enough or it wasn't flashy enough, apply that to your own video. I must say, that was a great first video. I'd like to see how well you do in the next 2 videos you do. After that, I'll might toughen the critic of the reviews . Overall, good video, needs some improvements here and there though.
