As the astral entity known as the Moon performed its usualy orbit around the planet Earth, something stirred on its dark side. A pair of large, crimson optics pierced the darkness of the void, and a noiseless rumble shook across the moon. A massive object rose from a dusty crater, its maw creaking open in the silent space, and its gaze turned 'upwards'. A powerful wave of telepathic energy rushed forth from it as it contacted a certain entity on the planet below.
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Khimera... where... are you...?[/glow]
The Scourge's own mental voice responded after several moments of hesitance,
S-Sir...? Where've you been? You told me you'd arrive months ago!
The beast gave a metaphorical smirk, then replied,
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Why... I AM here, Khimera. Just not as close as you'd think... but that's not important. I've been waiting for a moment such as this to act. I've sensed several large amounts of energy on the planet below, near your location. Mind telling me what they are?[/glow]
Khimera was silent again, then replied,
Those... those were most likely several of the inhabitants here, sir. They're quite potent fighters around here, oddly enough.
A deep, booming laugh echoed into the Scourge's mind, and the moon-beast replied,
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Really? I have to go see this for myself now... it's been quite some time since I've visited that mudball of a planet.[/glow]
Khimera 'blinked', then asked,
You... you've been here before?
The unknown entity narrowed its red optics in disgust, and replied,
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Yes... unfortuneatly. Several cycles ago, I showed up with Detoras after those disgusting Xillians had attempted to tkate the planet. I was... bested... in combat.[/glow]
Khimera's jaws gaped from afar, and the creature continued,
[glow=limegreen,2,300]I believe it was the beast that fought off the Xillian's war-creatures... what was it's name? Hmph. I can't recall. Anyway, Khimera, you are to prepare for my coming...[/glow]
The beast 'grinned', then added,
[glow=limegreen,2,300]I shall be there in but in a micro-cycle...[/glow]
