A New Land

[Blaze]

Is was mid-day as gunshots were heard coming from the nearby bank. A tall man is seen running out wielding the gun as he entered a grey car, he fired a few more shots at the building and a security guard falls and rolls down the steps that led up to the entrance of the bank.

The car peals out and the man speeds down the street. By this time Draco flies by and notices the car, and that its being chased by more cars, but the vehicles have flashing lights on them.

"Whats up I wonder?"

He quickly lands next to a man wearing blue and pokes him on the shoulder, the officer turns and immediately turns white from the site.

"Excuse me friend, but what going on?"

The policeman begins to tremble and answers in a scared tone.
"...T...that man just robed a bank."

Draco looks at him confused "Why?"

By then the cop turns and runs to his car and he too speeds off.

Shiryu was making a stop in the city for some groceries before he went back home after witnessing his first battle as a resident of Nightshade. As he's flying through the city he notices a character that seems a little out of place and decides to see what was going on. Just as he's landing he notices an officer take off in his squad car.

"Hmm must've had a robbery take place. Anyways you are a new face to me. What might your name be?" he said to the wolf anthro.

Just then Shiryu's girl Mercurio came down as well. Landing ever so gracefully at his side and giving him a little peck on the cheek.

"Oh I'm so glad you're safe Shiryu. You should have come straight home after that battle. Oh I'm sorry was I interupting something here?" she said as she realized Shiryu was just speaking to the stranger that she now noticed.

[Blaze]

"Why would someone steal? I don't get it." Draco looked at Shiryu sadly and lifted his right hand, aiming at the vehicle. A small amount of blue flame began to build in the palm of his hand, he waited for a moment, then shot the fire at the car. A second later the back right tire of the car exploded and the vehicle rolled to a stop.

"Do you know why? Where I come from steeling is nearly unheard of."

The anthro shook his head and rubbed his eyes.

"Oh, where are my manners? my names Draco, its nice to meet you."

He extended his arm for a hand-shake.

Shiryu gripped the anthro's hand in a friendly shake. Giving a short nod of approval he lets go and allows Mercurio to do the same.

Shiryu replied, "Well you must come from a grand place friend as you heard the name's Shiryu and this is Mercurio."

"Hello" , she muttered in a shy tone. She held onto his arm half hiding behind it as she waited for Shiryu to finish talking with Draco.

"Here people just seem to take stuff they need on impulse or out of necessity. It just seems unavoidable to them and others have to deal with it. Just the way Nightshade seems to work. So is there anything we can help you with my friend?" Shiryu asked.

A dark figure stood on top of a building in the distance looking down at the two Spirit Channelers and the wolf anthro.

He spoke with an irritated tone, "It's so fun messing with the humans of this world. I only wish people like them wouldn't interfere with my fun. Oh well I will get my fun from them eventually."

With that the figure disappeared into the shadows to plan his fun with his old foe.

[Blaze]

Draco gave Shiryu a blank stare and replied curiously. "nobody helps one another here? Thats...odd."

The anthro looked around and noticed he was getting straing looks from other people. He shrugged and figured he had something on his face.

"OH! YEA! You wouldn't happen to know where I could find a dragon by the name of Blaze would you?"

"Hmm... I haven't had the opportunity of meeting Blaze myself yet but I think I recall hearing that he was last at a construction site. If you would like we could help you in locating him." He motions to the side towards Draco to lean closer and says, "By the way most people here aren't used to seeing a Wolf Anthro like yourself my fine friend."

Mercurio chimes in shortly after, "Oh Blaze I know who you're talking about I barely met him on the way here. He was so kind to me. Yeah just as Shiryu said he was at a construction site not far from here. I wonder what he meant by that note on someone called Shive's back, oh well that's not important. Do you want me to guide you to where I last saw him?"

[Blaze]

"Its ok I'm sure I can sniff him out on my own."

Draco smiled at Mercurio an lightly held her hand, a moment later a flame engulfed it, the fire jumped and danced around before forming into a rose. The flower produced no heat and did not burn her in any way. The anthro again shook Shiryu's hand leaving a flame dagger.

"You two take care." Draco began to walk off before remembering.

"OH! those will never go out, and will only burn what you want it to."

He again started off.

Shiryu and Mercurio stood in amazement at what Draco could do with fire. Shiryu began to play with the dagger tossing and twirling it in the air while Mercurio just adored the fire rose.

Both bade him farewell as he took off down the street and took off for home.

"He was a nice guy I just hope that he doesn't get into trouble around the city considering the way he looks. Not to mention he uh isn't the most discreet person I've met.", Shiryu said.

"He was nice though hopefully we'll see him again under less rushed conditions.", she replied.

Draco slimed, overhearing the conversation. He walked off toward the sent of Blaze, humming a Christmas song to himself.

"its good to see this place isn't completely corrupt."
