People shrinked away into their houses, hoping they weren't seen when the strange new being paced by, piercing red eyes closed as the beast seemed to hum, everyone too scared to notice the head phones in her ears that were the center of her attention. If one listened closely, he or she could probably hear the faint lyrics of "Youth Gone Wild" blaring into the cat ears.
Seela, feeling something was amiss, paused the music on her I-Pod and looked around, confused as to why everybody seemed to be hiding.
"What? Did something come through her recently?" the clueless Rygazelle asked, somehow not able to comprehend that she was the reason they hid themselves.

"Uhmm... let me put it this way... people around here aren't used to seeing something like you." The voice of a certain lycanthrope spoke to her.
Lora was leaning out of a small house's doorway, motioning her hand forward for the Spectrobe to enter.
"It'd be best if you didn't let yourself be seen by most people around here..." She added, glancing around.

The Spectrobe frowned, but complied anyways, tucking her blades against her back more tightly and slightly crouching to make it through the door way.
"Why's that? I don't look that scary... do I?" Seela asked Lora, an almost adorbly innocent and confused expression on her features.
Deciding that a good time to listen to her music wasn't going to present itself anytime soon, Seela removed the head phones from her ears and stowed them away somewhere behind the tuft of metal fur on her right shoulder.

Lora sighed, closing the door behind them. They were most likely in a living room, but a small one at that. A brown couch, swiveling black arm chair, entertainment center (with television and DVD player), and a computer console dominated the white walls and gray-tan carpet. An archway led into what was assumed to be a small kitchen, and another led to a flight of stairs.
The lycanthrope then restrained a small 'squee' at Seela's expression, but managed to re-compose herself.
"Well, no... but people here don't really see much of... well, stuff like you. Mostly just other humans and the local wildlife. Something tells me you don't fill either of those requirements." Lora replied.
She sat down in the armchair, then motioned at the couch, stating,
"Uhh... you can sit down, if you want... name's Lora, by the way."

Seela shrugged, then bounded over and onto the couch.
"I'm Seela!" the Rygazelle announced happily, giggling to herself, "Nice to meet ya!"
She then pouted for some reason, "'Stuff'? I'm not something like a rock or a twig... I'm a Spectrobe, from a general stand point. Probably haven't heard of anybody like us..."
Seela hung her head and sighed, then perked up again, "Heeeey... Why are you so... calm... if everybody else looks like they're gonna freak out if i even look their way?"

"Nice to meet ya, Seela." She replied with her own smile.
She scratched her chin, thinking,
Spectrobe? Why does that sound familiar...?
Lora then bit her lip, glancing to the side.
"Why am I calm? Because I've seen odder things than you, believe me. Hell, I myself am... 'out of the norm', though I may not look like it."
She spun her hand at the wrist, trying to find the right words to say.
"I... can change, we'll put it that way."

Seela quirked her head to one side, and shrugged.
"Spectrobes can change too, but once we do, we can't go back... Course, we can post-pone it as long as we want."
The Rygazelle sighed to herself, and laid her head down against one of the arm rests.
"So... any games around here? I'm bored..."

Lora blinked, then glanced over at an oddly-shaped white console on the top-corner of her entertainment center. She grabbed a white remote, similar in color and design to the console itself. She handed the device to Seela as the television turned on, revealing the console menu.
"Not sure how well you'll play... what with your... apparent lack of thumbs..." She muttered, scratching the back of her head.
She shrugged, adding,
"S'all I got in the way of games. Sorry."
((Why yes, that is a Wii!))

Seela grinned, her tongue poking out in a very Shive-like fashion, as she displayed that, despite the fact her paws looked like those of a wolf, she did indeed have apposable thumbs.
"A perk about being a Spectrobe is that you can spring surprises on people when they least expect it!" she cheered, sat down next to Lora while holding the remote, and arching up so that she looked like a dog that was begging, keeping her modesty with her tail being well-placed.
The Spectrobe chuckled, and waited for Lora to start up whatever game she had for her Nintendo Wii.

Lora couldn't help but laugh at the Rygazelle's perky attitude. She then started up Super Mario Galaxy, expecting an amusing reaction from the Spectrobe. She hopped back into her chair as she waited for Seela to start playing, then bit her lip again after a few minutes.
Something bad's going on right now... I'm not sure what, but there is defineately something bad going on...
She blinked, then closed the curtains to the only room's window, cursing herself for not doing so earlier. She leaned back in her chair once more, sighing to herself as the conversation with X came back to mind. She leaned to the side, resting her chin on her hand, her expression turning sullen as she blankly stared at the screen. She quietly hummed to herself as she did so, hoping not to disturb the Spectrobe's playtime.

Seela chuckled and then laughed out right as she played the game, sometimes wasting a star bit to smack Mario in the head to see his reaction. She played through the levels leisurly, but tended to find herself returning to the mini-game with the manta ray on the levitating water course, always trying to best the record which had likely been set by Lora previously, but always falling a few seconds short. Pausing after one of her most recent attempts, she stamped her foot in a tiny temper tantrum for a few seconds, before picking up the remote again and resuming the game like nothing had gotten her upset.
Then, she came across a level featuring Bullet Bills.
"AH! Evil missles with arms chasing me!!" Seela exclaimed as she directed the plumber on screen to run away from the missile until it finally died out.
It took about three hours of playing and replaying particular levels that she enjoyed the most, but Seela finally grew tired of playing the gravity-defying Super Mario Galaxy.
"That was a lot of fun!" she finished as she set the remote down next to the console, and then troted over to the couch, jumping up to it and laying down, casting a few glances in Lora's direction.
The Spectrobe sighed, before her ear twitched, "Something on your mind?" she asked Lora.

Lora snapped out of it, shaking her head and looking around before processing the question, then slumped back in her seat again.
"Ah, no... just thinking... about someone I knew..."
She sighed, still staring at the screen even though it was blank at the moment. Her eyes lowered to the floor and she sniffled, thinking,
He even said it, too...
She slowly shook her head, then glanced back at Seela. In an attempt to get her mind off of the situation, she asked,
"So... where're you from?"

(OOC: More creative liberties with the series that is Spectrobes, seeing as all Spectrobes technically begin as fossils. Not to mention the state of the planet mentioned.)
"I orginally came from a planet called Hyoga. Frosty place, but not unbearably cold. Anybody here could probably get by with a decent jacket and not be extremely cold. Some Spectrobes like myself thrive in that kind of cold though, but we aren't dependant on it. I tend to forget what system the planets are in, I was never too keen on that, but I know its at least a few galaxies away." Seela answered, stretching out her legs.
The Rygazelle curled up a bit, blinking, and waiting to see if Lora asked anything else.

Lora blinked, restraining herself from scratching her head.
Well... that's like, the third alien I know now... should've seen that coming.
She paused, something clicking in her head.
"Wait... Spectrobe... AHA!" She abruptly exclaimed, then leaned over towards Seela.
"Do you know what a Villikroma is? I sorta know one, and she said she's a Spectrobe too... but you two look.... well, nothing alike."

Seela's head shot up fast enough that it would have given any human whiplash.
"A Villakroma? Here? I never thought I'd wind up on the same planet as a Villakroma!"
Seela placd her head against one of her paws, "As to why we're both Spectrobes but look nothing alike... well, 'Spectrobes' is a very loose term, which is why we tend to refer to ourselves by more specific species names, like Rygazelle and Villakroma. You can't exactly tell if someone you're looking at is a Spectrobe or not unless there's another Spectrobe by your side who can tell you, Spectrobes are that diverse."
The Rygazelle then chuckled.
"Hell, I know there's a Spectrobe out there who could pass off as a tiny tribesman!"
