"Come on, we've got to start sometiime, might as well get it going now."

Mortis sighed, shaking his head.
"But... I don't even know if she likes me back.... why the hell should we bother if it's all in vain in the end?"
His shoulders slumped as he looked up at the Villakroma, despair filling the air around him. And as his spirits fell... the yellow-eyed creatures slowly slinked back to the edge of the woods, watching the wyrmling.

Chiggar rolled her eyes at Mortis, very tempted to smack him lightly, but afraid that her weight would make it too painful for him.
"You haven't even given it a chance yet? How stupid can you get? Do you wanna get let down and know there was no chance, or never ask and constantly say 'what if?' If you don't ask, you'll never be able to get her out of your mind."

Mortis sighed, lowering his head and looking to the side.
"I-I dunno..."
His thoughts drifted back to their last visit at the lake. He visibly reddened and gave out a small smile when he recalled how the moonlight hit her... he shook his head, ridding himself of the color as he snapped his face back at Chiggar. He gave another sigh, this one slightly aggrivated, as he muttered,
"Fine..."

Chiggar smiled at the wyrmling, "That's the spirit... sorta... We should really find her... That way you can ask, come on, getting on my head, I'll carry ya around."
The beetle dipped her head down so Mortis could jump on, all the while thinking of the various places Cynder could be at this moment.

The beetle then lumbered away, looking for the oynx wyrmling.
