Kisara sighed as she and Onyste plodded around the City Park, the false dragon feeling just as down.
"We've already searched the whole of downtown, much to the panic of the citizens at seeing a seven ton dragon thunder down the roads at speeds that would make some speed demons p*** themselves. The rural district was smaller, and didn't need as much speed to search, but we still got through that pretty quickly... Where could she be though? If she's not anywhere in the city when I finish looking through it, then I wouldn't know where to look... Knowing how cruel fate can be, she's probably at this 'Soul Society' place I've heard about..."
The woman groaned as she pounded a fist on Onyste's saddle, making said false dragon glance up and back at her rider, worry etched into her gaze.
"If only I could find her... then maybe I can get just how much I can really do... maybe I could even manage to protect myself for once. I hate being the damsel in distress, after all."
Kisara sighed again as she urge Onyste along, the false dragon not the least bit tired, having run races much longer then that, not to mention she didn't have to worry about the various things that would go on in an actual race, evading enemies that try to attack and set up obstacles where their were none, or come up from beside and steal her strength. That last one was mostly from the Dragon Eye crew which were none to be thieves mostly, and race as a weak cover up. Since she didn't have these worries, she could save on extra energy by not jerking around so much.
It didn't help dispell her feelings of hopelessness though...

The sound of limbs snapping rapidly, and a loud 'thud' came from the trees off to the pair's side. A large, saurian shape was facedown in the dirt, a set of black spines with a familiar shape rising into the air from a crimson body. Artecaex grumbled something about 'tree-hopping' as he rubbed his head, snorting sparks. He rose to his full 13-foot height, then abruptly paused, swiveling his black pupils toward Kisara and Onyste.
"Uhh... hi." was all he could stammer out.
Sh*t... this is how I wanted today to go... He thought, glancing off into the trees.

Kisara blinked, looking at Artecaex.
'So much like Solranous physically... or rather, the other way around...' Kisara thought, bringing up mental barriers like the emerald wyrm had shown her, should she want to keep others from reading her mind, or at least stall them from doing so. They were strong, given that she lived with such a powerful telepath, but she would have to see if Artecaex tried to cut into it to see how strong her barriers were compared to his telepathy.
"Hello..." the woman responded back, wondering if he could try and point her in the right direction, but waitingg for the crimson dragon to respond first.
Onyste shrugged to herself, and similarly waited.

Artecaex blinked, looking from side to side.
"...you waiting for someone?" He asked meekly.
He wasn't prying into their mind, so he didn't know. He scratched his head, nudging the dirt with his foot as he waited for a response.
Something about her is different... but what is it? He thought to himself.

"Not waiting for some one, looking for some one. Unfortunately for me, its not you. I'm sure you know by now, but incase you don't, word is that Solranous got killed in battle. I can't sense him anymore over the mental link that formed between us, so I'm scared the words may be true. I'm looking for someone called Sevra. I'm hoping you could point me in the right direction." Kisara explained. The woman sighed to herself, looking grim.
"I need to find her... to see if I can finally develop the reiatsu I have from Solranous, so that I can, at the very least, defend myself should I get caught alone. I'm sick and tired of sitting around or being the damsel in distress."

Artecaex gave a sad sigh, nodding.
"I've heard. I... was nearby when it happened. I would've helped, but I thought he had it covered..." He muttered.
He lifted his head, holding up a clawed finger.
"However, I can find Sevra for you! Just gimme a sec." He stated, voice lifiting in the hope of lifting her spirit.
He closed his eyes, probing across the area telepathically. While Solranous surpassed his telekinetic skills, Artecaex had greatly improved his telepathic skills, making his mind all but impenatrable and his scrying ability top-notch. A minute later, he opened his eyes again and nodded, stating,
"She'll be here-"
Sevra suddenly appeared next to Artecaex, making the crimson wyrm jump in surprise before scowling at her.
"damnit Sevra! I thought I told you to tell me before you do that!" He hissed.
Sevra laughed, her Gigai appearing as her natural form, but with a pair of baggy gray tunic pants, and a sleeveless, dark-blue tanktop. A single black choker encircled her neck.
"Ahh, it's just harmless fun, Arty." She replied innocently.
Artecaex looked as if he'd just suffered an ulcer. He rubbed his eyes, muttering,
"I told you to stop calling me that..."
She laughed again, giving him a peck on the cheek before turning to Kisara and tilting her head, asking with a bright, cheery air,
"You want help with developing your reiatsu, eh? Not sure how I can help, but I'll do the best I can! How do ya wanna start?"

"Well... Seeing as I can't control my own reiatsu, nor can I sense another's reiatsu, I think we should start their before we move onto other things... However..."
Kisara looked at Artecaex and narrowed her eyes, "'Arty?' Is there something going on between you and her that nobody knows? You know what, never mind that, it's not my place to pry into your life."
Kisara sighed to herself again, something she found that she was doing more often now-a-days.
'Maybe I'm starting to act the way Solranous would act in a situation like this to ease the loneliness in my heart left by his absence...'
"Well, I'm ready to start whenever you are... I think..." The woman dismounted Onyste, never taking her eyes off Sevra as she did so, waiting for the dragon anthro.

Artecaex grumbled in displeasure at Kisara's question, glancing off to the side. That earned a giggle from Sevra, which in turn made Artecaex grumble again.
"I'll leave you two to your training... I'll be nearby if ya need me." He muttered.
He stalked off nto the trees, Sevrashaking her head with a smirk. She turned back to Kisara and scratched her chin, muttering,
"Not sure how to explain this, but... ah well. Best start off by exposing you to the spirit world!"
With that, she broke free of her Gigai, of which lightly crumpled to the ground, making Sevra appear as if she'd just passed out. Sevra then unsheathed her Zanpoktou before 'tapping' Kisara on the forehead, knocking her spirit free from her body, of which crumpled next to Onyste. Sevra gestured around, stating,
"As you can see, the spirit realm, or Ethereal Plane, as it's 'officially' called, isn't much different from the Material Plane. You can still interact with solid objects here if you focus, and even that doesn't take much effort to do if you've even a sliver of reiatsu. Here, you don't age, nor do you require sustenance, unless of course, you have reiatsu."
She resheathed her Zanpoktou as she began focusing her own reiatsu, a light, golden-white aura forming around her body as she did so.
"This is reiatsu, the literal strength of one's spiritual energy, but I'm sure you know that. How large and stable it is depends on how much you have, and much you can control it. Some people's reiatsu is so powerful, it can literally repress other's own spiritual energy, and their spiritual state itself. The coloration depends on your personality, or so I'm told."
She rubbed her head, taking in a sharp breath as she tried to grasp how to continue.
"Okay... now, let's try this. Try focusing on imagining your reiatsu. What color do you think it is? How far will it go? Just try picturing yourself enveloped in your soul's energy, focus as hard as you can." She stated, sounding a bit unsure.

Before Kisara could do anything though, let alone adjust to being in the Etheral plane, Onyste cried out in panic, not being able to see spirits. Using their link, Kisara calmed the false dragon down, though she could tell Onyste was still very worried.
Taking a deep breath, the woman closed her eyes, trying to bring out her own reiatsu, and shocked herself at how simple it was to grasp, and release. At first, a small circle appeared around Kisara's feet, before stretching out, passing Sevra by about a foot, before an orange reiatsu started to pulse out from the woman, completely enveloping her like a gentle fire out to the edge of the circle
Kisara's eyes opened back up as she looked at Sevra, her iris' overshadowed orange with the reiatsu out. Compared to Solranous it was obviously a rather insignificant amount, but to Kisara, who had never even thought of releasing reiatsu, it was a grand accomplishment in her mind.
"This is right... isn't it?"
(OOC: Fun Fact: I was going to just have it be neon blue like Solranous' because it was because of Solranous that she was able to do it, but because its sort of her own now, I decided a color change was in order.)

((Good call!))
Sevra clapped excitedly, nodding.
"Hell yes that's right! damn, you got it faster than I did! You should be proud of yourself." She exclaimed.
She placed her hands on her hips, muttering,
"This reiatsu feels genuine, so I guess you won't be a ryuoka..."
She shook her head, as if ridding herself of something, then smirked.
"Well, since we know this is true, almost-home-grown reiatsu, let's see if you can materialize a Zanpoktou. Now, they say a Zanpoktou is the reflection of its wielder, so, ask yourself this: How do you think of yourself? How do you think others think of you?" She stated, arms folded.

"Almost is right..." Kisara replied as she nodded to Sevra holding her hands out as if she were holding a sword straight up, thinking of how the others may have viewed her in the time they knew her. And more importantly, how she viewed herself.
'I'm sure they think I'm compassionate, from all the help I've given where I could... and I've had my warrior spirit moments... It feels hard to pin down one concrete definition. I have to, though...'
She continued to try and sift out a clear picture of how she viewed herself, and how others viewed her, but even after that, no blade had materialized for her. Kisara frowned, disappointed that she couldn't do so. That is, until she had a thought.
"Maybe I'm carrying the perfect base for a Zanpoktou with me right now... like Solranous did. It doesn't seem like it would be fit to be tipped with blades but I should at least give it a try..."
Kisara reached behind her physical body, seeing as the staff didn't come with her when she was knocked out, litterally, from her own body, and mentally shivering at the thought that this is normal for a Shinigami, and managed to bring out her Mag Staff, focusing anew on the view of herself. No reaction occurred at first, but part of her reiatsu coalesced on the staff, reshaping it to some degree. It would no longer shrink back down when she wanted it to, because it no longer possessed that ability. It now started to appear like a more rural version of the advanced technology that made it. The biggest change, though, was that it now sported a pair of blades as long as a normal sword on each end, complete with the normal guard of a Zanpoktou. An indentation in the middle of the changed staff revealed, after the reshaping was finished, that the staff can be easily snapped in two to give her a pair of swords, and in the same manner could also be reassembled quickly to make a reliable short-to-mid-ranged weapon.
The woman didn't have to ask this time to know that this would now be her Zanpoktou. She also figured it was vastly different from a normal unreleased Zanpoktou, which she attributed to indirect mingling from Solranous, due to his blade also having a major difference from normal Zanpoktou.
"Looks to me like it paid off... I'm shocked I could get so far so quickly..." Kisara muttered just above Sevra's hearing range as she backed away from her and Onyste to test it out with a few swings safely, changing from one to two and back again as she did, findiing that the seperation and reassembly were so simple that it was but child's play to go from one to the other at the drop of a dime.
"Maybe, if I have enough time training... I'll get it to go further... To Shikai, at least, is what I'm hoping for... but Bankai... Bankai feels like there's a whole galaxy between it and myself right now..." the woman spoke, before realizing something...
"There's... not a voice... not yet at least... is that normal?"

Sevra blinked at the odd Zanpoktou, then snapped back to reality in time to reply,
"Yes, that's normal. Your Zanpoktou's voice will only be heard when you prove yourself to it. When you do so, and I say when, it'll tell you its name. Then, you'll be able to unlock your Shikai, or partially released, state."
She brought her finger to her chin, muttering,
"There's only two Shinigami in all of Soul Society that have dual Zanpoktou's, and I'm still not sure as to why some can have that capability."
She shook her head, then regained her happy expression.
"Ah well, you should be proud! You have a Zanpoktou, and in such short time, I might add! Congrats!"
She crossed her arms behind her, and asked,
"Any more questions?

"Eh... no, not really... I should be able to go on from here. Thank you very much, Sevra." Kisara responded, then remembered something.
"Actually, I do have one question... How do I get back into my own body? I don't like the idea of being a spirit forever... I'm not dead yet..."
The new Shinigami chuckled at her own joke.
(OOC: She'd probably be considered a substitute Shinigami like Solranous, right?)

((Yes, since she's not really dead right))
Sevra blinked, then slapped her palm against her forehead.
"D'oh! I forgot about that. Just step back into it like you would clothing. It's a bit more complicated to go back into spirit form, though..."
She rummaged around in her pocket, then tossed a small amulet to Kisara, in the shape of a hexagon. A skull-like shape was in the center of it, and she stated,
"That's a Substitute Shingami badge. Focusing on it will allow you to shift into spirit form, and therefore, use your Zanpoktou. A certain someone was able to use his in his material form, and the Development & Research division is trying to find a way to copy that ability. In the meantime, though, you'll have to get by with just that. You'll be roughly five times more durable in your spirirt form, by the way."
She paused, face darkening.
"I assume Solranous told you about Hollows, right?"

Kisara's face darkened as well when Sevra mentioned Hollows, nodding.
"Yep, I know all that Solranous knows about them, and I'm sure you can tell that he knows a hell of a lot. Let me guess, if there's any running around, I have to use my Zanpoktou to take care of them?" the woman asked as she got to her own body, managing to phase back into it, and shuddering at the sensation afterwards.
"And anyways, I assume you're refering to Solranous when you mentioned a 'certain someone' right?"
