((...very few people will get that joke....))
Garrett stepped out of his home, a blank expression on his face as he walked out into the street, holding a paper-pad, several pens, and a flashlight.
"Why are you so fascinated by this again?" Varion asked in a disgruntled tone.
Ignoring the artifically-intelligent program, Garrett walked across the street and over to Myrr's door, knocking on it. As he stood there waiting for a response, he kept turning his gaze upwards at the night sky, smirking at the cloudless night.
"It's as good a night as any..." He muttered.

The door opened up to reveal the half dragon, who was rather stoic in expression.
"Hi Garrett... Mind if I ask why you decided to come over?"
Myrr's exhuastion couldn't be hidden by her face when the words left her mouth.

As he kept looking skyward (in varying directions), he asked,
"Yeah, um... do you have any spare lanterns or lamps I can borrow? Or some rotten meat you're going to throw out?"
He paused, and as he still stared at the sky, he asked,
"...you okay? You sound tired."

"Can't sleep well now-a-days... Nightmares..." Myrr answered, before heading inside. It took a few minutes before the half-dragon returned with a lantern and a piece of meat that looked like it was just starting to rot.
"Every since he left the picture, we haven't exactly been quick to create a need to restock on supplies, so its only natural that I would find something that was starting to go bad." Myrr continued, knowing that Garrett knew who she was referring to by 'him.'
"Don't get sad though... we've got hope that he didn't die. There's a possibility that he survived. He's good at fooling people... mayve the situation called for him playing all of us for fools, as much as he would regret it later."

"I see... well, that's good to know. Try to get some sleep in the meantime, kay?" He stated, still staring at the sky.
As he walked across the street, quickly glancing from side to side, he stated,
"If you're going to be in the area, would you mind being quiet? Please don't make any sudden movements also."
With that, he dissapeared into his house, only to re-appear on the roof moments later. He turned the lantern on, set it down next to a lawn chair he had placed in the center of the roof earlier, then set the rotten meat in an open plastic container, placing it a dozen feet away or so. He pulled out a pair of binoculars, equipped with night-vision apparently, due to the lense's green tint. He pulled out a small whistle, then began lightly blowing through it in short bursts, creating a series of 'squeaks'. After a few minutes, he shrugged, setting the whistle down and sat back in his seat, scanning the skies and ground with his binoculars.
"Show yourself... c'mon..." He muttered.
He grinned as a noise that only be described as a shrill scream pierced through the area.

"Sure, I'll be quiet, its the only thing I've been doing for a short while..." Myrr sighed, and walked back into the house, being discreetly silent as she closed the door and went back to her room, not noticing that someone was trying to tap into her mind.

Garrett was standing on the edge of his roof, trying to find the source of the scream with his night-vision binoculars.
"He's near... but where?!" He hissed to himself.
He sighed, pulling the binoc's from his face.
"Maybe he won't show if you're looking for him..." He muttered.
His fists clenched, shaking his head. The sound of scraping came to his attention, and his heart skipped several beats before he slowly glanced over his shoulder. Standing on the roof across the street, hunched over in posture a bit as its burning red eyes stared back at him, was... the Mothman.
It squeaked again, loud enough to be heard by those inside the building, but only faintly. Garrett felt his legs lock up as he stared at the shadowy creature in awe.
"It's... it's him..." He muttered.

'Ok, what the heck is out there?' Myrr thought to herself as she opened the door to the house again and stepped out.
Not feeling like using her wings, the half-dragon opted to climb her way to the roof using her claws. Either way, she was as silent as could be as her claws and talons dug into the wall justt enough to get a good grip, but not enough to leave noticable indents. The half dragon was on the roof soon after, looking at the Mothman from the side, and noted Garrett on the opposite rooftop.
'Is this what he wanted to flush out? Better not make an sudden movements.' Myrr thought, stiffening.

As Garrett stood there in shock at the unknown humanoid's appearance, the Mothman ruffled its wings, staring back blankly with those horribly red, unblinking eyes. The teen finally managed to gain his composure, and he carefully paced over to the edge of his roof. The Mothman cocked its 'head' at this, before Garrett asked,
"Do you remember me? At all? I first saw you about a year ago, and my father and two of my friends died shortly after."
The Mothman leaned back, slowly swaying. Garrett's eyes narrowed, and he continued,
"People say you show up just before something tragic happens on a large scale. Is that why you came to me? Or was it just happenstance? Also, I've heard you showed up again, roughly a week ago, before someone important to all of us died."
His fists clenched, and his chin trembled. The Mothman leaned forward a bit, issuing a small squeak.
"Can... can you see the future? Is that why you come to people? To try and warn them before it happens?"
The Mothman 'slumped', staring at the building Garrett was on. Garrett blinked, looking tired but resolved.
"From what I've gathered... you're looking... for something. What? What could you be looking for?" He asked in an almost cold tone.
The Mothman stood back up at its full height, and Garrett felt a chill wash over his body. The Mothman then uttered one of its horrid screams, beginning to take wing. Garrett scowled through his fear, and he barked,
"I'M NOT DONE, damnIT! You have answers, and I want them NOW!"
Either ignorant to his scream or ingoring him, the bat-thing slowly rose off of the ground without a single flap of its wings, then dissapeared into the night. Garrett scowled, kicking at the roof-edging.
"damnit!" He grumbled.

Myrr mentally sighed, making a few flaps of her wings to rise up and soar over to the roof top Garrett was on, landing nearby the teen.
The half dragon made to say something, but couldn't form the words, instead just standing there, deciding to wait for Garrett to speak first.

Garrett sighed irritably, shaking his head as his head dropped.
"I just wanted to know... if there was anything I could've done..." He muttered.
He glanced over at Myrr, a hurt expression on his face.
"I wanted to know... if there was anything I could've done to prevent all of those... horrible things that happened because of me..." He muttered.
He turned away, trudging to the edge of the roof.
"I can't help but feel your father's death was my fault..." He muttered, face in his right hand.
With that, he hopped over the edge and landed on his feet, before slowly closing the door to his house behind him. He stood within the confines of the dark building, hand on his forehead as he leaned his back against the door, gritting his teeth.
