The azure wyrmling floated on the surface of one of the larger springs, his eyes clamped shut, giving him the resemblance of a winged crocodile. His mind turned yesterday's events over and over in his mind, giving him a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach. Regret laid heavy on this wurmling's mind, yet he could not rid himself of it.
I feel like an ass now... He thought.
He snorted, sending two thin icicles flying from his nostrils as he wiggled his snout, trying to rid it of any more unwanted water. His tail swished in the water as he pondered,
If there's any way I can make up for what I did... I'd like to know...
He sighed, dunking his head under the water to drown out any sound he heard.

Well, it would have drowned out any sound, if it hadn't caused the water to vibrate from. Chiggar's massive form pondered up to the hot springs, and the insectoid alien sighed, laying down.
"Well... things have definetly gotten boring around this place..." the beetle commented.
She didn't know about the blue wyrmling in the spring.
(OOC: Its about time Mortis met Chiggar)

Feeling the water move, Mortis's head lashed out of the water and he glanced around rapidly, trying to find the source. His eyes settled on Chiggar, and his eyes widened a bit.
Either that's new... or I have not been informed of it... He thought.
Cautiously, he moved his head around, trying to get a good view of the insect that lay a few dozen feet from his location.
"Um... hello?"

Chiggar blinked at the voice, looking at the little wyrmling and tilting her head to one side.
"Hello? I don't think I've seen you around here before in all of my years being in this area." Chiggar responded. "Who are you?" she asked, curious.

Mortis blinked, muttering nervously,
"Well, uh... I got here about last month... name's Mortis. Who are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Last month, huh? That would explain it. Anyways, Name's Chiggar. Nice to meet ya..." Chiggar answered, then noted his nervousness, "Don't worry about the cannon, I'm not gonna shoot you unless you hurt me first." she continued, hoping to ease his nervousness.

He blinked, pondering what a 'cannon' was. He assumed it to be the hornish protrusion on her forehead.
"Heh, I don't think you'll have to worry about me doing that... I can't really hurt anyone..." He replied, voice lowering near the end.
"Anyway, nice to meet you too, Chiggar."

The beetle smiled, even if no one could see it.
"So... Liking your stay so far in this crazy world?" Chiggar asked Mortis, attempting to make some conversation

The dragon's spirits fell immideatly, the question bringing up yesterday's events. He sighed, replying,
"Yes... and no. I didn't really know the place well until a few weeks back, and then I started to like it.... but then something triggered some hateful emotion in me... and I betrayed a few people that cared about me...."
His head dropped as he stared into the water sullenly.
"I wanted to apologze to them yesterday, but... something got in the way, and I haven't seen them since."

Chiggar was caught off guard by this.
"Eh? That's obviously a problem." the beetle noted, and sighed.
"Well, now's as good a time as any to go to them. Gotta get this resolved before it becomes something really big..."

He sighed, replying,
"That's the problem... it's probably become something big by now. I can't even bear to look at them right now, let alone apologize..."
He glanced off into the trees on the edge of the springs, then shuddered, recalling that odd winged entity from before. He paused, then turned to Chiggar, asking,
"You haven't seen any winged humanoids with bright red eyes in the woods lately, have you?"

Chiggar frowned, "No, can't say I have... Not or saying that its not real, just saying that I haven't seen it eye-to-eye yet."
The beetle sighed, and her shoulders slumped.
"Anyways, if the ones who you betrayed are who I think they are, they'll understand in the end of it all." Chiggar finished, getting to her feet and lumbering over the spring the wyrmling was in.
"So, what do ya say?"

He sighed as he looked up at her, then shrugged, replying,
"At this point, I guess it couldn't hurt..."
He pulled himself out of the spring, shook himself off, and stood before Chiggar.
"So... I guess we go, or what?" He asked sullenly.

The betle nodded, then said, "Lead the way, Mortis, seeing as how I'm not sure if it is who I think it is."
She mentally sighed. He was beating himself up an awful lot about this, which was making her worry.

He nodded, then began padding off towards the city, trying to think of what to say to the others when he got there...
