The graveyard tonight was, as usual, gloomy, dark, and depressing. Yet, in the eteheral world, it was rather active at the moment. Numerous Hollows were shuffling about the area, seemingly looking for something they all seemed to be smelling. Two particular Hollows were acting strangely, however.
"We have to find X and Ocrimus. They'd enjoy this kind of afterlife!" One hissed.
The other was silent, watching the city from a distance. It sighed, shaking its head.
"C'mon. I'm getting hungry. Why are we here anyway?" It growled.
The latter shrugged.
"I don't know... I just feel kinda.. drawn to this place at the moment." It hissed, glancing around.
The first Hollow seemed odd, for it didn't have an eye glowing in its left mask-socket. Both shambled near the edge of the graveyard, staring about aimlessly.
"...you get the feeling we're being watched?" The second asked.

Shlick!
Three Hollows simultaneously moaned painfully as they were horizontally cut down the middle, before they died. The two strange Hollows were clearly caught off guard by this, as they were now wide-eyed and looking around.
Shlick!
Two more Hollows around them perished, but still their attacker could not be seen, as he was cloaking himself from sight and masking his reiatsu. Solranous scowled at the Hollows, not noticing the two strange ones.
'Five down, Twenty to go'

One of the Hollows suddenly roared,
"It's a trap! Shinigami!"
The Hollows were thrown into dissarray as they all started weaving from side to side, trying to find their assailant. However, one of the two strange Hollows merely scowled under its mask.
"Solranous... it has to be..." It growled.
The Hollows all started hissing and roaring as they spread out a bit more, hoping one would spot their attacker and the others would swarm to him. Meanwhile, the silent Hollow's eyes widened, thinking,
He's a Shinigami now? ...no, no it can't be...

Solranous scoffed, seeing the Hollows spread out. It didn't really matter if the they clumped together, or if they spread out, he was far too fast for them. Still cloaked, the dragon swooped in, carving two more Hollows to pieces. The remainder roared again, still frantic, until the one who had alerted them had its mask, and the entire head behind it, split in two.
Solranous then decloaked himself above the heads of the Hollows, flaring his reiatsu, which was massive even in the unreleased state. The dragon landed at the edge of the group.
"Heh! I can't even consider you all a warm up! Certainly you've got more durability then that!" The dragon taunted them, before hurling his Zanpoktou like a javelin and impaling a Hollow through its forhead. He recalled the blade to him with telekinesis, and prepared a battle stance to face off against the Hollows.

The Hollows all started bounding forward screeching and snarling, roaring and howling. Except for the two from before; they stayed near the back for some reason.
The one missing an eye was humanoid in shape, balancing itself on two thin legs ending in a single claw on either side, the front being larger. It had a thin tail, of which bore several blades on its end. The arms were nothing but a pair of scythe-like blades, styled mouch like a preying mantis's. Its mask/head resembled some sort of insect's crossed with a beak, bearing three mandibles on either side of an avian-looking maw, riddled with diamond-shaped teeth. Two more blades emerged from its back on either shoulderblade, and its hide was a dark-blue in color.
The other was a bit bulkier in appearance, balancing itself on a thick, wide tail. It had two almost-spherical shoulders, attached to which were a pair of arms ending in three claws arranged in a triangular pattern. Its mask was like a wolf's, but with a jagged jawline and two spikes jutting out from the bottom of its chin. A 'mane' of gray hair emerged from the back of its head, and its body coloration was an off-teal in color.
Meanwhile, the Hollows all began swarming Solranous, some of which were strong enough to fire off weak Cero's, while the others just went in with tooth-and-claw. Some fell without a chance, some managed to strike the Shinigami and do a bit of damage, and some just fled the area. Those that managed to strike the dragon all began latching onto him, hoping to drag him down into the mob and rip him apart. The wolf-masked Hollow on the other side suddenly widened its eyes, and in a very familiar voice, screamed,
"Solranous!"
It snarled, then lashed its head backwards, roaring in agony.

Solranous balked at the voice, and was minutely stunned, long enough for another Cero to impact on him, causing the dragon to stumble away a foot or two.
'Was that... Reizus? What is he doing here? Unless... Oh no...' Solranous thought, realizing that it was probably because the Zoanoid was either already a Hollow, or he was about to become one. Considering the amount of Hollows in the area, the former was more likely.
Solranous roared at the Hollow who fired the Cero, who was wisely keeping its distance. That is, until Solranous reeled it in with his telekinesis and cleanly cut it in half. Another Hollow that was about to attack him from behind was back fisted before being beheaded by Solranous' blade. The dragon the pulsed a large amount of telekinesis, sending all the Hollows near him sky ward. The dragon leapt after them carving apart three more Hollows, before he thrusted them all back into the ground. As he landed, another Hollow was slain. The dragon glanced around at all the Hollows left, and found that some where retreating.
'Can't have that, now can we?' Solranous thought, reeling them back with his telekinesis. He would not let them escape to become more powerful.

The dwindling number of Hollow left were beginning to resort to nastier tactics, such as rushing Solranous in groups, only to teleport off for another group to repeat the process. Hollows with projectile-based abilities stayed back to hammer Solranous from a distance with said abilities. Yet those two Hollow still remained behind, watching from afar.
"You know... this would be a god chance to lure them out..." The one with only a single eye hissed.
The other said nothing, merely watching as his tail swayed, hitting the ground with a 'thump'. His claws flexed and unflexed as a serpentine Hollow snaked up behind Solranous, allowing a Hollow resembling a cross between a crab and a bear to rush forward and deliver a couple of strong blows to the dragon's gut.
"It would also be a good opportunity to devour these fellows of ours and evolve into Gillian." The wolf-masked one growled.
The single-eyed one nodded, crouching a bit as he contemplated this idea.

"Grrr... ENOUGH!" Solranous bellowed, before continuing, "BANKAI!"
His reiatsu surged to its full power as the transformation took place. Solranous was done playing games with these foolish Hollows.
"Moetatsu Shimensoka inai Gouka..." the dragon finished, extending his blade as he swung to cleave an entire group of Hollows charging at him with one swipe.
"I'm done toying around with all of you..." Solranous hissed. The dragon the spotted another group of Hollows, and charged reiatsu into his maw.
"Star Burst Flare!" the blast launched out, engulfing the Hollows before they could blink and destroying them.
He glared at the remainder of the Hollows, all of which backed up a few steps when Solranous glared at them. If he counted correctly... he was almost done with his twenty-five Hollow quota... not that he would stop at twenty-five, because there was more then twenty-five to begin with. No, it was better to take them all out then to let them live and possibly become Gillian. Or worse...
The dragon bellowed as his body began to distort, almost as if he were going to make himself invisible again...
The truth was far more deadly...
Out of the distrotion walked one... two... three... four... five exact copies of Solranous, size and all.
"Time to clean up whats left of you Hollows..." all five Solranous' stated at once, Flash Stepping and attacking the Hollows.
It wasn't a fight anymore. It was a downright slaughter fest. Hollows left and right roared in pain as a copy of Solranous tore through it with his blade. Strangely, though, none of them noticed the two strange Hollows yet.

The one-eyed Hollow growled as he took a step forward, only to be held back by the other.
"No... not yet."
The cycloptic Hollow snarled, shrugging his ally's hand off.
"What?! Why?!"
The other Hollow glanced at his companion and hissed,
"Because you damn-well know he could easily slay us in that state."
The former grumbled, sliding his claws against one another, a habit he had in life.
"Then who's to say I don't just eat you now and be on my way to becoming a Gillian?" He asked, staring back at the other.
"Because you know I'll kill you first."
The avian-looking Hollow growled, then simply glanced back at Solranous as the number of Hollows slowly dwindled down to a handful, of which were trying to escape, to no avail. But those two simply remained, taking down any Hollows running by and devouring them, only to continue watching the green Shinigami do his job.
Grrr... never thought I'd have to fight him... The wolfine one thought, claws flexing.

In a devastating finaly, the original Solranous eventually jumped skywards, and then slammed his fist into the ground, a massive Shockwave erruptting from the impact and slaying all the remaining normal Hollows, but leaving the two strange ones in tact, despite it washing over them as well. The copies of the dragon distorted, before losing physical form and turning back into reiatsu, and flooding back into the body of the original.
The dragon got to his feet, and began to speak, "Friends in life, Enemies in afterlife... What kind of fate is that?" Turning to the two remaining Hollows, Solranous named them, first looking to the wolf-masked one, "Reizus..." then to the cyclops Hollow, "Gaigan..."
He had known about them being here since Reizus called out his name, and found out Gaigan minutes later.
"Once allies, now on opposite sides... It has come to this... There is no avoiding this fight. Three shall clash, and one side shall fall... I will free you from this darkness... even if it means to strike you down with my blade... However much I will later regret it..."
His hands clenched around his sword and shield tightly, but even though it was discomforting, Kizoku made no protest, knowing this was not the best time to spout at such minor uncomfortableness when his wielder is staring two Hollows down that he does not wish to fight.
"This conflict shall begin... and end... here." Solranous finished, putting up a defensive stance.

Gaigan laughed, shifting a foot forward.
"We may have been acquaintences in life, but not in the afterlife! Here we are-"
Gaigan was cut off as Reizus bit into the back of his neck, devouring the Hollow in but a few seconds. Sighing, Reizus looked up at Solranous, something dribbling out of his mask sockets: Tears.
"Solranous... I won't be in control much longer... and I want you to know one thing: You were my friend, and you shall always be, no matter the situation. I'm glad you got to me before I got to X and Ocrimus... I wouldn't have wanted this on them." He snarled, voice shifting between control and the Hollow instinct.
He grunted in pain, then continued,
"I'll try to put up a decent fight, considering how you are, Solranous... may we meet again in Soul Socie-"
His speech was cut off as the Hollow side took full control once more, clutching at his mask and releasing a pained howl into the air, tail thrashing about. It paused as the two 'fins' on his back split into two, and he slowly slithered forward before breaking into a dead 'run' for Solranous, tackling him to the ground as his tail snaked around Solranous' throat, hoping to strangle him. Reizus's right-hand claws all snapped together, making a single sharp spike, with which he lashed towards the dragon's head...

The dragon merely caught Reizus' follow up attack with his blade, while his shield collasped, and the hand that held it grasped Reizus' tail and yanked the Hollow from his neck. The dragon rose to his feet and lashed out with his blade, carving multiple gashes into Reizus' chest, making the wolf/naga Hollow howl in pain. He then slammed his fist against the Hollow's head, making him reel back, giving Solranous plenty of room to charge and launch his Star Burst Flare at Reizus, throwing the Hollow bakc farther.
He charged energy into his fist, and let loose with multiple shots of energy, much like the Ki Blasts of the Dragon Ball Z fighters. These impacted with Reizus, but did comparativey less damage then the Star Burst Flare.
The dragon then tore at Reizus with a series of Spirit Rockets.

((He's an average Hollow... he won't last long against a Bankai))
Reizus snarled, already in less-than-favorable condition. He aimed a claw at Solranous as a Cero began charging, building in strength until the air around it began to shimmer. Finally, the beam tore forth, tearing into Solranous's right shoulder and bursting forth from the back. Snarling, Reizus slithered forward, creating what appeared to be blades of blue fire between his almost-closed claws and lunging at Solranous, swiping madly in an attempt to hit the Shinigami.
A few strikes hit their mark, slashing into the dragon's hide, but doing little damage-wise. With a snarl, Reizus shifted himself and slammed his tail into Solranous's side, sending him skidding sideways a bit.

((Solranous: ... I was... I was holding back about 50% of my power... But I won't prolong his suffering.))
Solranous sighed, he was hoping that even against a Bankai, Reizus might be able to put up more of a fight. Even at 50% of his power, Reizus' attacks, save the Cero, had barely stung him
"It's over, Reizus." Solranous said, Flash Stepping far away enough. The Hollow pursued him, but it was enough time to go into his full power. The dragon poured all of that reiatsu into his blade, which he swiped three times, creating an 'asterisk' of reiatsu that soared at the Hollow at great speeds. Reizus, at his current velocity, wouldn't be able to avoid, and the 'asterisk' blades cut through him cleanly. Solranous Flash Stepped next to the Hollow, looking at his dissolving form.
"May we see one another in Soul Society... Reizus... I'd best report to Captain Hitsugaya about the fulfillment of of the assignment... Assuming he doesn't already know... He probably does know..." The dragon sighed, fingering the cube that was suddenly in his hand as he dropped out of his Bankai. The dragon tossed the cube, creating the gate he would need to enter Soul Society. Opening the gate, the dragon walked through.
