"Well, I hate to see you go Grimlock, but if you must, then I suppose this is goodbye." O'Malley stated.
The ebony droid, his draconic brother, and the 25-foot Dinobot were all standing on a large rock outcropping shaped much like a mesa. The Dinobot was in his humanoid mode and crouched down on one knee. Spite's head was bowed slightly in sadness, and O'Malley's arms were crossed.
"Me not know whether me should really go, but me guess me have to. Grimlock miss you O'Malley!" The mechanical tyrannosaurus cried.
O'Malley backed up a few steps, but was still caught in a massive 15-ton-worth bear-hug from Grimlock. The Dinobot finally released O'Malley, who was sparking at the joints. O'Malley let out a small laugh and nodded to Grimlock.
"Well, if you ever get anytime off, be sure to come back to visit us. We'll always welcome you. And you know the others will as well." Spite stated.
Grimlock nodded, then stood up.
"Be sure to tell fleshies I say goodbye to them." He stated.
"We will, Grimlock." O'Malley replied.
The Dinobot nodded in thanks, and bounded into the air before flying off into the distance, leaving O'Malley and Spite to themselves. O'Malley sighed, his shoulders sagging.
"Well, there goes another bot. I hate seeing a fellow machine leave." O'Malley muttered.
"Oh please, bro. You'll be surrounded by as many bots as you want soon enough." Spite replied, rolling his optics.
O'Malley mentally grinned, then replied,
"True, but Grimlock was a decent being. It's a shame to see him leave."
Spite nodded, and turned to O'Malley.
"Now what? Should we head back to the construction site, or should we go into town?" He asked.
O'Malley shrugged, then replied,
"Well... I'd like to test out the nerve systems I installed. Would you help me with that?"
Spite nodded, and O'Malley nodded as well. Both bot's eyes were closedfor a moment, then glowing blue lines flared across their metal frames before dying down to an almost unnoticeable dim. Shortly after, both droid's eyes widened as they began to feel what most robots were incapable of...
"Whoa.... this... this is just the wind..." Spite gasped.
O'Malley himself was astounded at the false nervous system he had created. This was the sense of touch?
"Incredible..."
Spite glanced at O'Malley, and mentally grinned. Spite's tail then slapped into O'Malley's back, who cried out in pain before glaring at the dragon-shaped bot.
"So that's pain, eh? Not the best feeling..." O'Malley muttered.
He kicked Spite in the side, who yelped in return, glaring at O'Malley, who promptly laughed.
"That's good. Now should we head back?" Spite asked.
"Mmm... not yet." the ebony battle droid replied.
O'Malley leaned against a rock wall, letting the new feelings enter his mind.
"Just... wow..." He muttered silently.
Spite shruged, then laid down next to his brother, curling into a wheel.
