Rescue!

[Talon]

The power plant was shut down for the night, only a few employees were working the 'graveyard shift' tonight. But, they weren't alone...

The large creature slithered through an open area, one of the machine rooms. There was a catwalk above its head, and the sound of the machines were apparent. The violet beast narrowed its yellow glowing eyes as it hissed,

"I know you're here somewhere, Mazinger! I can taste you."

Not receiving a response, the beast known as Behir scuttled along, his tongue flitting out every few moments.

What Behir didn't know was that something just as big and bad as itself was stalking him. Which was actually quite a feat, considering how un-stealthy Thanatos actually was. When the beast had its attention focused in front of it, Thanatos dropped in behind it, wrist blades extended. The not-so-subtle arrival of Thanatos made Behir whip around.

"Shall we dance?" Thanatos said, no emotion present in his voice. Silence followed, broken by Behir's hiss and mechanical whirr of Thanatos' armor.

[Talon]

The serpent hissed, and as electricity crackled along its spine, replied,

"No. I'm looking for someone else."

With a lash of his tail, Behir sent the Draeger cyborg hurtling across the room and into the wall. Behir turned around, frantically whipping his head from side to side, trying to find his target.

"WHERE ARE YOU?!" He boomed, his maw sparking with motes of electricity.

Solranous picked up on something and froze in horror.

Innocent people were being killed somewhere else, far faster then this thing could kill the robot's brother, he had to go there. Now.

Backing away from the others, making no attempt to hide, he said, "I'm needed elsewhere urgently." before flying off.

Hitting Thanatos was likely the last last mistake that thing would ever make. A few seconds after hitting the wall, Thanatos recovered and fired his wristblades at the fiend. They hit and embedded themselvesdeep in Behir's body. The snake creature turned towards Thanatos, but all he saw was an oncoming blur before being shoulder tackled. Thanatos carried the tackle until he smashed Behir into one of the thick outer walls of the plant. Before he could recover, Thanatos kneed him and used the force to propel himself back.

"I think you misunderstood me," Thanatos said as he pulled out his broadsword. "You don't have a choice. Should you continue to run or shrug me off, I'll stop trying to fight honorably and I'll put my sword through the back of neck. Now then, when you're ready."

[Talon]

Behir scowled, electricity crawling along his frame.

"FOOL! You have no idea of whom you're dealing with! I am Behir!" He hissed, lashing forward.

He clamped his jaws around Thanatos's upper torso and began to thrash about like a dog with a rope, warping some of Thanatos's frame. Behir then hurled him towards the cracked wall, busting through to the outside. Alarms started to go off as Behir scuttled outside to confront Thanatos.

He scowled at the alarm, then slowly clamped his mouth around one of the sirens. Suddenly, the alarm died down as Behir's eyes glowed slightly. He turned back towards Thanatos, and smirked, stating,

"Time to die."

He then rushed the Draeger, ramming him with his skull and shoving the Draeger backwards. He then reared back and fired a purple-red bolt of lightning from his maw at Thanatos, taking joy in watching it explode against him.

After the bolt hit him, he just stood there. This creature, Behir, was a living corpse as far as Thanatos was concerned. There was a slight crackle followd by a whooshing noise as Thanatos' jets fired up. At first, he kept them on low, and merely took a few strafing steps around the creature. The strike was lightning fast, and it went through lightning. Thanatos fired his jets and hurtled forward as Behir launched another bolt at him. Due to his armor's construction, and use of electricity as a weapon, he was able to shrug off the blow as he reached Behir.

With a fraction of a second of reaching Behir, Thanatos swung his sword and cleaved off two of the serpentine creature's legs. Then, overfiring some of his jets, he spun in midair delivering a hugely powerful summersault-dropkick to the creature's head. Sending it's considerable length skidding along the ground as it howled and bled.

Behir screeched and snarled, lashing his head back and forth.

"fuck! That hurt, you asshole!" He screamed.

He rushed Thanatos and raked him with three of his remaining claws, digging indents in the Draeger's armor. He then stopped and coiled around the cyborg, slowly squeezing the life (what little he has) out of Thanatos.

He then begaan gnawing on the cyborg's head, while still constricting him simultaneously.

"Bad...idea...mate..." Thanatos muttered. Then with a huge surge of heat and a small sonic boom, Thanatos fired all of his jets to maximum. The force was enough to lift both he and Behir off of the ground, and allow him to free himself of Behir's coils. During the entire ascent the two grappled, slashing and biting with extreme predjudice.

Finally, Thanatos pushed Behir away, and the creature began to fall the 30,000 feet they had climbed. But Thanatos was going to let him have a nice, slow descent. Instead he swooped down and caught him by the tail, and began to swing. He swung him around until he was practically supersonic, and then he threw him at the ground with all his might.

Once Behir reached a certain point in his fall, Thanatos hurled his broadsword. Behir hit the ground, hard. His mass left a small crater, and he was feebly stirring in it's center. As he started to recover to the point to where he could move, there was a deep whistling in the air. About a second later there was a slice and a thud, and Thanatos broadsword was buried to the hilt in Behir's midsection, pinning him to the ground. The first sounds Thanatos heard as he descended were the beasts shrieks of rage and pain.

Behir started screeching and roaring frantically, grabbing the blade with his teeth. He ripped it out with a spurt of blood following, and he hurled it to the side, the blade impaling itself into the wall. The serpent let out a low hiss as his form crackled with electricity again.

"You've made a horrible mistake, cyborg." He hissed, lightning crackling between his teeth.

He sped forward, then began to spin just before hitting Thanatos. The combined forces shoved Thanatos a good 300 feet backwards, a large dent in his chestplates. Before the Draeger could react, Behir's back spines sparked with electricity, then released a few dozen bolts of electricity towards the cyborg. The bolts slammed into him with the same result as last time. However, they slowed him down, and that was all Behir needed.

Behir then blasted at the ground in front of him with his breath weapon, creating a large, 200-foot ditch before him.

"That'll do..." He hissed grinning.

((I'm assuming Thanatos is at the bottom of the ditch and it wasn't some sort of moat))

Thanatos emerged from the ditch smoking and smoldering and sparking where he had chunks of armor missing. As he rose, the twin cannons on his back whirred to life, the gears whizzing and the lights giving Thanatos an eerie glow.

"Last mistake you'll ever make," Were the only words he said. There was an electrical charging sound followed by a click. As soon as this happened, Behir was ripped in two; Thanatos rail slug had hit Behir dead where his sword had. His lower body was pushed forward by the blast and his upper body was sent backward by the force of the impact. Blood and gore were raining down in chunks, and the rail left a mammoth gash in the earth itself. When Behir hit the ground his remaining body was so frantic, that it began to crawl away despite its injuries.

One of the security guards had heard the noise of the fight and running to see what was the matter. What he saw froze him with fear for the duration of the fight, but now Behir was crawling towards him. He screamed and ran, turning a corner and pressing against the wall and praying that the thing would be too slow to catch him. After waiting a few minutes by the wall, nothing happened, so he breathed a sigh of relief. Then he heard the hiss.

He looked up to see the glistening black form, and then he screamed. The alien grabbed him by the head and yanked him away, pulling him into the dark recesses of plant. There, one of the aliens from the junkyard was undergoing a gene storm; molting to become a queen. What began as an accident was on the verge of becoming an invasion.
