A large figure dropped into an alleyway, glancing from side to side, occasionally sniffing the air. It growled and clenched it's fist, which it then slammed into a nearby wall, making it crumble.
Where the hell are you? It thought, walking down the alley.
Moonlight reflected off of scales, though what color was unknown. The figure was sheathed in armor that covered everything but it's tail, wings, head, and hands. It sniffed the air again, muttering in a deep voice,
"He's been here. I can smell the b******."
With a lash of its tail, it spread its wings and bounced onto a nearby roof.

Some ways away, a young woman was walking, stumbling down an alley. She appeared to be injured, and she was definitely crying, but for what, no one could tell.

The figure's ears twitched, and sharp teeth flashed in the moonlight. Violet eyes darted through the darkness and detected the young woman. The scowl slowly turned into a grin as it mutered,
"Might as well have some fun while I'm here."
The winged abomination then dropped into the allyway below, landing before the crying woman. He leaned forward and hissed,
"Crying never does you any good. And in your case, nor does living."
His claws flexed in anticipation.
"Please, do run. I like a good case." He stated, a small smirk forming on his maw.

"No please! Stay away! Stay back! You'll get hurt!" She spluttered, clearly terrified of the thing in front of her, but equally scared of something else.

The creature stopped, clearly confused.
"I'll get... what?"
He looked behind him, seeing nothing. His eyes narrowed and he turned around and grabbed the woman by the throat, lifting her into the air.
"I don't like being tricked, or made fun of. Now, either we stop playing this little game of yours, or you can give me information." He hissed.
He felt a strange sensation on his neck, almost as if he was being lightly strangled. He blinked and shook his head, but it was still there.
"Huh. Anyway, have you seen something lately that looks a lot like me, but shorter, and... stupid?" He asked, tightening his grip.
The feeling on his neck intensified, and he dropped the woman. The feeling stopped, and he paused, wide-eyed.
"It's YOU! You're the one doing it!" He boomed, making nearby windows shake.
He growled.
"Just answer the damn question. NOW."

"I...I tried to tell you...I tried...I tried..." she began to sob, ignoring his demanding an answer. Finally after several minutes of sobbing uncontrollably, she managed to get out a single "N-no" before breaking down completely.

The anthro's eyes narrowed, and he turned to walk away. He stopped about 10 steps away as electricity began to arc down his arm, muttering,
"Then you are of no use to me."
It seems that if I hurt her directly, I get injured as well... but if I do it indirectly... He thought, smirking.
He whipped around and fired off a bolt of lightning into the roof above the girl's head, sending debris and bricks crashing down on her, blocking her from sight. The creature stared at the pile, not feeling any pain. He then grinned, stating,
"Yup. She's gotta be dead. And if not, I don't give a s***."
He spread his wings and took off into the night, screaming,
"SHIVE! WHERE ARE YOU?"

Suddenly the pain hit the anthro. It seems fate did know when it was being cheated. The pain was intense, like a mountain had just fallen on him. As he was still nearby, he turned and saw the unbelievable: some debris fell away and the girl climbed out. She was badly injured, but it was healing. He saw her cast a painful glance his way, before she walked away from him.

Daedalus growled and was about to attack when a voice in his head boomed,
"Leave her."
"But, she-"
"Technically, it's your fault for attacking her."
Daedalus glared at her, and muttered before leaving,
"Freak."
He then flew off into the night.

As the girl stumbled down the street, the whirring of air suddenly caught her attention. A human-sized (and shaped) figure landed before her, and asked,
"Are you okay? I saw that explosion, and then you walked away from it."
The figure was lithe, yet muscular, and his skin was a deep, gray-black. His ears were pointed.

"Stay away." She muttered. She didn't even bother to try to warn him more than that. She was in pain, and it was taking a while to heal. Most of all, she was lost. "Just, stay away."

Reizus seemed hurt at that.
"Are you sure? You look like you need help."
He stepped in her way and stated,
"I don't like seeing innocent people getting hurt. You need help."

She never got to answer. In what seemed like magic, she was suddenly gone.
