Kisara and Onyste kept going until they reached a river, the same river where Myrr had kissed Shive for the first time, and rested. Kisara dismounted off of Onyste and sat down next to her life long partner. The false dragon chattered something to her.
"You can say that again. Here we were, just minding our own business and staying out of everyone's way, then some huge black dragon comes and scoops me off my feet, then we come face-to-face with that creep Armageddon as his hostages, then we find out about these crazy bio-mecha-insects... Aparoids, he called them. Then we see Solranous and Shive on the moon, with absolutely no protection from the supposedly air-less enviorment, fighting those bugs. Then a huge machine whose name I have yet to learn appears. The three of them fight Armageddon's three 'champions,' who looked pretty whimpy actually, then the demon himself...
And then I realize I'm in love with that fiery dragon. He even kissed me, and I returned it! This... has been one hectic week..." Kisara ranted, summerizing the entire infiltration and rescue. She found herself daydreaming about said tri-tailed dragon.
"Heh, he's like my knight in shining armor, only the armor is a layer of scales and I have to replace the adjective 'Shining' with 'Burning...' Hmm... Burning... Burning... Burning Solranous? Maybe that's what I could dub that transformed state of his... Eh, it sounds cliche'... But it fits sooooooooo good..." She shook her head, surprised at an image that conjured itself in her mind.
"Whoa... gotta stop thinking like that, or I'll go crazy..." she muttered.
(OOC: Feel free to bring in some characters that appeared in 'The Moon's edition of the monthly campaign, but no evil characters! We've had too many back-to-back fightning threads for now.)

GaoGaiGar lands on the grassy area. He towers over some younger trees and looks at the clear waters. His eyes flash and the GaoMachines defuse with Galion. They exit through their own greenish teal portals. Galion sits down infront of the waters and looks at his reflection.
"...Maybe...I'm not cut out for the King of Braves..." he growls to himself, "How....how could I not be able to stop those Champions.....I was just in the way..."
Galion looks and at his reflection and "punches" it with his machinacial paw. He growls in anger. "NO!! I will not become weak now!! This world needs protection....."
Galion walks off into the forest. The golden lion growls to himself in frustration. He needed a replacement if he was to ever die....and he needed one quick.

"Who was that?" Kisara asked, hearing Galion's musings. She got up, following the lion's voice... she didn't exactly know it was the lion, but she did see the King of Braves land nearby. It wasn't to hard to find the lion, he was walking in her general direction. Seeing the lion, and noticing that it had some traits of the fusion machine that came nearby, she called out to him.
"Hey! Long time no see, huh?" Again, she was only assuming this was the other machine... or at least part of it.

Galion looks at Kisara, an almost glare like look. "Indeed...a long time no see...." Galion growls. He remembers the female from the Moon. The one Solranous wanted to save.....
"You seem alright organic..." he growls and looks away, "It seems Solranous and Shive are at the Soul Society..." Galion mutters something that Kisara couldn't hear.
The machine lion looks up to Kisara and mutters, "Tell Solranous, that if he is ever in need of some help...I'll be waiting."
With that, he bounds off into the forest. Galion growls along as he goes. Where he is headed, no one knows.

"...Well, its obvious he wants to be alone..." Kisara muttered as Onyste, who had followed her, appeared through the forest.
"Someone else is coming, some one you'll be... delighted to see." Onyste told her through the link they could establish.
'Who?' she asked in return, but Onyste just held up a forepaw and shook it, 'tutting' like a mother reprimending her daughter.
"You'll have to wait and see." the false dragon replied, making Kisara face-fault.
"I'm not disturbing anything, am I?" a certain dragon asked, dropping from the air and folding his wings. Solranous had reappeared in the crater site, but had tracked Kisara and Onyste down, a bit more wary for them and not wanting anything to happen to his love again. The dragon didn't even bother messing with his blush with that thought. It was true.
Kisara, meanwhile, had frozen up like a popsicle, "N-n-no... Not really... Uh... So..." She couldn't form any coherent sentence, so she decided to just shut up and let Solranous do the talking...
"Embarressed by our little confession, eh?" Solranous guessed, she nodded in response. "You're not the only one feeling that way. I may not look it, but inside I'm just a nervous wreck right now."
'And how the hell does he manage to keep his composure on the outside? If he's taking something, I want to know so I can at least say SOMETHING to him without stuttering.' the woman thought, and Solranous picked up on it.
"I'm not taking anything, I can just keep calm at times, even when my head feels like a tornado's going through it."
'A... strange comparison... God, its going to take a while to get used to talking to you without... you know... talking to you... Am I being weird right now?'
"If anyone's strange, its me for being who I am. Anyways... I was thinking of celebrating, now that we've finally got a bit of free time and so many evil creatures were vanquished in a short period of time. Besides, a party would help both of us unwind." Solranous finished, grinning.

Off on the other side of the river, just between the tree-line and the river's bank, a certain ebony droid stood, staring into the churning waters before him. His claws kept clenching and unclenching, though other than that he seemed fine. His AI, however, was processing like a hurricane. He had been like this ever since he had repaired his body, but while fixing his AI, he found something... more. His world had been spun around, his thoughts made no sense to him anymore, and his logic had been torn in half.
Why... why did I have to find that one disabled area? That tiny, dislodged memory? Why did it have such an effect on me? Why can't I think straight? WHY?! He thought.
He clenched his claws again as he threw his head back, letting out a shrill, mechanical roar of mental anguish into the sky (think Kiryu's). He dropped his head back down, his visor-eye completely closed. He collapsed onto his knees, claws digging into the soil helplessly.
My logic... my opinion... trashed, because of one cursed bit of information previously forgotten about. He thought again.
Self-destructing is always a possibility... but, I'm not sure if I wish to go that far... He processed.
He sighed (which he had never done before) as he shifted onto his rear, staring into the river again. He didn't even see the trio across the river from him, and if he did, he didn't care right now.

Solranous winced at the roar, rubbing his sensitive ears, before he turned to glance at O'Malley.
"Yo! O'Malley? What's gotten under your circuits!?" Solranous asked, calling to the droid. "I know you don't really like organics like us that much, but could you at least tell us what's going on that's making you all crazy?"

O'Malley merely replied without even looking up,
"If I'm being a bother, I'll go elsewhere then. I apologize for any interruptions."
The droid stood up, still staring downwards at a 45-degree angle as he started to walk away.
Now I'm apologizing?! What the hell is happening to me?! First, the death of those organics angered me, next I actually helped the organics retrieve the female, and now I'm apologizing?!
He stopped about 10 feet into the trees, placing a hand against one of the trees and leaning on it.
It wouldn't do me any good to destroy those memory files... I'd still remember them... and I detest the thought of destroying my own memories, even if they are... unnerving.
He sighed again and leaned against the tree, placing his face in his hands (again, something he had never done before). His eye snapped shut as he pondered,
Could what that woman told me be coming true? No! It's impossible! Or is it? It has to be impossible! Machines can't have those! We can only advance as far as our AI's will-
He abruptly stopped, eye snapping open again.
It... can't be... has my AI given me... a... a soul?

"With your level of intelligence and advancement, I place no doubt on it." Solranous spoke into O'Malley's processors, something he was originally unable to do.
"Can there be no other explanation? Besides, I can't make a mental link to machine who hasn't gotten close to, or already acquired a soul. As they said in that one Sci-Fi movie, the 'Ghost of the Machine' is a strange thing, forming random acts of code, which would otherwise not be there. I believe there was a full-fledged robot who had a soul in that movie as well. What is to keep you, a robot even more advanced then that, from doing the same? Is there really any denying it? Oh, before I forget, thanks. I'm grateful for that helping hand back on the moon, and we could very well have been sunk without some form of intervention. And no, you weren't being a bother, I'm just looking out for a friend." the dragon finished, continuing to stare in O'Malley's diraection.

The droid paused, wanting to lash out at the dragon for his organic insolence, but... something kept him. O'Malley clutched at the sides of his head and shook it madly, screaming,
"NO! IT'S NOT POSSIBLE! MACHINES CAN'T HAVE SOULS! THE ONLY REASON WE CAN EVEN THINK LIKE ORGANICS IS BECAUSE OF OUR AI'S! AAAAAUUUUGGHH!!!"
He stopped suddenly again, the tips of his claws digging into the metal covering his temples. He stared at the ground as his arms dropped to his sides. He began checking his databanks, and he was shocked to the core at what he found...
Random data codes. Random thought processes, like that of an organic's. Or, more likely, due to his creators, a... human's.
O'Malley's hands shook, then he glanced at them and forced them to stop. It.... it was true. He had an actual soul. Not the kind that produced reiatsu, like Solranous's and the brown anthro's, but the kind of soul that gave one true emotions. A soul that gave someone the ability to trust, to hate, to love, to scream.
"It's... not possible... and yet, here it is, happening before my very optics..."
It was true. He found himself believing what the dragon said, and he himself had just proven it. O'Malley didn't know what to think anymore...
He screamed as the top of his head opened, revealing his AI brain, hooked in by multiple wires, some thick, and some thin. He grabbed it and began attempting to rip it out of his head.
"I CAN'T EXIST LIKE THIS!" He screamed.

He was stopped by Solranous, who had frozen his hands with telekinesis.
"O'Malley, calm down! Is this really worth trying to kill yourself!? What logic is there in that, assuming you can still follow closely to it? There are somethings in life, even artificial life like your own, that plauge those who experience them. For you, this is one of them, for me, it was the fact that I was controlled, and now I have the blood of millions on my hands. These are things that we have to get through, sometimes with help, sometimes without help. In time, you'll learn to accept what you now have. If you don't you'll go insane."
Unfortunately, Solranous wasn't exactly sure how to help O'Malley right now... He never had a robot who had a soul, and at the same time didn't want one... Lord, this would be a long day...

O'Malley screamed again, trying to break free of the telekinetic hold on his arms.
"NO! To have a soul is to be organic! To be organic is to be corruptable! To be corruptable is to be evil! EMOTIONS ARE NOT MEANT FOR MACHINES!" He roared, voice breaking slightly.
He collapsed, still thrashing due to the hold on him.
"I can't do it! I can't exist! Not after what happened last time this nearly happened! NO! I WON'T DO IT! I CAN'T DO IT! THEY DIED BECAUSE OF IT! THEY WERE THE ONLY BEINGS TO EVER CARE ABOUT ME! THEY DIED TRYING TO SAVE ME!" He roared in despair.
The droid doubled over, trying to break the dragon's grip, but to no avail. He finally gave up on it, and he fell silent. Shortly after, he could be heard whispering at a low level.
"I can't do it... to have emotions is to care. To care is to get close to those around you. And for those to get close around me is to have more blood of the innocent on my hands..."
His fists clenched, the grip (assumingly) broken now as he fell to his knees and hands, eye clamped shut.
"No more... I can't..."

"...O'Malley... Not all beings with souls are evil..." Kisara spoke, venturing her opinion. "True, many are evil, but the only choose to be... There are some who are good. Look at Solranous, he's always trying to help, he can't bare to see someone in despair... You included O'Malley."
"Words of innocence can be the greatest swaying opinion. She can understand things that I cannot grasp, and I can understand things beyond her comprehension. We've had different views on the world, but both of use can agree, Not all those with a soul must be evil. With a soul comes a choice, good or evil, it is how you make that choice that decides who you really are," Solranous continued.

"I am fuly aware of the choices that define one's being. And... I am aware that not all organics are evil... but some can be too caring at times..." He muttered, fists clenching until the claws broke through his palm-metal.
"Some care too much... and that leads to their downfall... I... I know that all too well..." He sighed, eye snapping shut again.
"It's... not the fact that organics make bad choices from time to time, it's... I'm... afraid. These emotions are dangerous faults in one's being, yet I have seen them be unbreakable foundations to one's conscience."
He seemed to tighten up as he stated,
"I was built as a multi-purpose combat droid by the remains of a massive tyrannical group known simply as the Empire. A few small branches remained after their downfall, attempting to bring the whole back together, but to no success. I was the only of my type before the lab was destroyed."
The machine paused, and seemed to be... shuddering. Not from cold or disgust, but almost as if from...
Sadness?
"However, ever since I had been activated in that lab, there were three humans that began to care for me, as if I was one of them. The other scientists began to grow distrustful of me, and deemed me a 'failed experiment'. They then attempted to permanantly shut me down, but my human friends intervened, sacrificing their own lives so i could escape."
His hands fell limp, dangling at his sides as his tail swished from side to side. His voice grew quieter, more subdued.
"It was those three that told me this might happen to me one day. It seems they were right. But now that it has happened, I... I'm overwhelmed with feelings of regret. They died because of me, because they cared for me. One of them... even..."
His fists clenched again, and his tail whipped to the side.
"If having emotions means being forced to watch those who care about you die, and being forced to mourn their deaths, then I want nothing to do with it!" He drifted, his voice overwhelmed with frustrated sadness.

"Tell me this, how would you feel if one of your friends were in your position now, and you saw him or her overcome with grief because you died to save him or her. to want to commit suicide even? Seems like a pretty poor waste of their gift. They are most likely looking at us from the afterlife, and are hurt by your... seeming readyness to take your own life, just to escape your emotions. Don't dwell on the bad experiences with them. Instead, remember the things that were good about their involvement in your life." Solranous suggested.
"You will always be in sadness if you think only of negative aspects of life. Think of the positive aspects, and know that your friends are in a place where they can thrive without pain or trail."
