Thanatos didn't respond. His eyes were empty, dead. It looked like Thanatos was finally gone.
Naturally that would be too simple.
He twitched. Just his finger. Then he blinked. Then he actually moved. And it was building into movement. He wasn't done yet.
"Saelia.." he spluttered in a dry, damaged voice. He was using his functional arm to drag himself towards where he last saw her. His body was disintegrating as he did so, crumbling to ash from the WarAngel's attack.
"Saelia..."

O'Malley didn't say another word. He may not have known what was going on, but he knew what Thanatos wanted. The droid picked the Draeger up and brought him over to Saelia, setting him down next to her.
Spite! That's a negative on the parts! Forget 'em! There's no point... He informed Spite.
He stared at the two Draeger for a moment, then took a few steps back. There was nothing that could be done. The droid turned around to leave the two to themselves as he approached the edge of the island.

"S-Saelia...I'm sorry...sorry..." Thanatos kept muttering. H ecould only partially see her; his vision was blurred at best at this point. "Forgive me...I was trying...protect...you..."
"Thanatos?" Saealia gasped, kneeling down next to the burnt husk that was once her husband. "But...how? Thanatos, no, you can't do this to me..."
"Saelia...I'm sorry...sorry..please...forgive me...." Thanatos weakly muttered, bringing his hand close to Saelia's face, but losing strength before he could touch her. After that his only sound was his weakening breath, and his only movement was the rising and falling of his chest which was becoming smaller and smaller. But he didn't stop breathing. He wouldn't stop, not while he still could. He was a fighter, even at the end.

O'Malley sighed, hoping the Draeger'd survive. He paused, then growled. There was that damned compassion again! His wing-jets ignited as he was about to take off, then paused again.
Wait... the nanobots... could they help? He asked himself.
He shook his head, remembering they were encoded to two specific beings.
Might as well at least stay until he dies. O'Malley thought.

Thanatos ripped some of the burning and burnt portions of his husk off, and his good lit up-if only dimly. Then he turned to O'Malley and gasped:
"So what do I have to do to get some service around here?"

O'Malley shook his head, then contacted Spite again.
On second thoooouuught... bring the parts.
A few minutes later, the mecha-dragon arrived with a large bundles of metal and machine parts, grumbling about 'running back and forth'. O'Malley walked over to Thanatos silently and began to rapidly repair the Draeger cyborg. After about fifteen minutes, Thanatos was nearly intact as O'Malley muttered,
"Aaaaand... done. The only thing I didn't put back were the weapons, but your life support is back online."
He stood back up and folded his arms, 'smirking'. Thanatos looked almost exactly like he did orignally, but his weapons were missing, as were a few of his glowing areas.

Thanatos tried to sit and couldn't. He was in a bad way, but he wasn't crumbling to ash anymore.
"Thanks. If you ever need anything, just ask. I owe you one."

O'Malley waved it away.
"Bah. You owe me nothing." He stated, turning around.
He beckoned Spite to follow as he stated,
"Find me when you want weapons. I'm not good with Draeger technology, so you probably won't get your original weaponry back."
His wing-jets ignited as he and Spite took to the air, and O'Malley started cursing himself as soon as he took off.
damnit! Why do I keep helping these people?! Curse this f*cking AI! He scolded.
