Shive wrapped his arms around Myrr's midsection as he buried his muzzle in her hair, replying in a muffled tone,
"You're welcome... and I'd be more than willing to bring you back again and again..."
He pulled his head away, then locked her in another kiss, showing his appreciation for her in the best way he knew how. Meanwhile, Daedalus took several steps forward, still watching the two embrace with his arms folded over his chest. Standing behind and to the right of Xeno, he muttered,
"Heh... they really are inseperable. How long have they been together...?"

Xeno jumped slighlty, then looked over her shoulder at Daedalus. "Erm... about two or three years, I think. This after at least once where one tried to kill the other after being controlled..." Xeno replied, looking back at the two.
Myrr smiled, then sighed gratefully, before shifting to try and stand up, her legs rather shaky.

Daedalus's eyebrows rose in surprise at the second half of Xeno's response, and he replied,
"A-Ahh... I see. And their relationship's stayed strong ever since, eh?"
He smiled slightly as Shive helped the shaky Myrr to her feet, still holding her closely as he did so. The younger sibling smiled radiantly down upon his mate, and Daedalus thought to himself sadly,
To think I wanted to break that bond...
The crimson dragonkin heaved a heavy sigh, then glanced at Xeno from the corner of his eye and asked,
"And where, pray-tell, do you fit into this relationship? If you don't mind me asking, anyway... I do seem to recall seeing all three of you together several times."
He paused, then hastily shook his hands in a defensive manner, adding quickly,
"N-not in the intimate sense, of course..."

The hybrid's shoulders slumped as her voice took on a noticeably depressed tone.
"That's the problem... I don't fit..." she muttered, turning away. "I'm a third piece on a field that only fits two. It was only a matter of time before I would either get forced off or drop out on my own. I chose the second option so that I wouldn't have my heart broken later."
The half dragon seemed oblivious to the conversation Xeno and Daedalus were having, clinging to Shive, smiling. "Thank you..." she mused. Despite what happened, she felt so safe in his arms.

Daedalus winced slightly at Xeno's words, and shook his head lightly, glancing away as he muttered,
"I'm... sorry to hear that... we can't always have what we want, it seems."
He sighed, glancing back at Shive and Myrr, the former smirking at the latter as his tail curled around Myrr's leg. Daed seemed to wince again slightly as he muttered,
"I myself haven't really... 'felt' what that's like. I thought I did once, but, being under a corrupt influence at the time, I simply passed it off as an opportunity to satisfy physical needs. I ended up backstabbing that woman, as I had intended all along... sometimes I wonder how it would've gone without that bastard demon."
His fists weakly clenched as a look of weariness crossed his face, and he mused aloud,
"But, the past is just that- the past. Perhaps... we should find our own 'playing fields' as you so aptly put it..."
He slicked back his coal-black mane of hair with an exhale as he added with a lighter tone,
"Not sure if I'm adept at the game played on those fields, though..."

"You never know..." Xeno mused, sighing and turning from the couple, walking away. "I thought I was over it now... but... seeing them like that after nearly dying... It brought back the pain all over again..."
The hybrid sighed. "Even if it doesn't turn into something bigger... I need some comfort... I just don't have any body to look to for it, though... at least any body who comes up at first thought..."
Xeno sobbed silently, and continued walking again.

A pang of pity shot through Daed's chest as he watched the hybrid walk off, sobbing to herself. He issued a hollow sigh while glancing at his gauntleted hand, and thought to himself,
These hands always been used to destroy things, even now... but... perhaps I can use them to create something.
He looked up and started to walk after Xeno, adding,
You never know until you try... take the chance, see how it goes.
He was now a mere several feet from Xeno as he finished,
It could end well for both of us...
He placed a clawed hand on her shoulder as he muttered,
"Uh, Xeno, wait... I... is there any way I can help ease your sorrow?"
Meanwhile, as Shive was occupying himself with Myrr, his keen eyes and ears had, unknown to his brother and lover's half-sister, picked up on the entire conversation. A smirk crossed his jaw as he thought,
Ahh... he's going for it. Good. Hopefully this'll work out into something good for them both. Bahamut knows they could both use it...

Xeno paused, blinking away tears, before looking over her shoulder at Daedalus.
"Maybe..." She mused, turning to face Daedalus. The streaks on her face from the tears were painfully obvious as she looked him in the eye. The hybrid choked, looking down, she didn't think she was in any condition for something like this.
Course... she'd been wrong before on other things. She hoped secretly hoped she was wrong here, too.

Daed sighed, feeling another pang of pain as he looked at the tears staining her ebony-colored face.
I never noticed until now, but... she is rather... lovely...
He shared several moments of silence with Xeno before he abruptly dropped down onto a single knee, then silently wrapped his arms around Xeno's thin shoulders, and locked her in a loose hug in an attempt for comfort. He was silent for another moment before muttering in a low, hoarse tone,
"All you need do is ask... I... I'd like to get to know you better, if that's alright with you...?"
Without looking at her, the silence seemed about to return before he reluctantly released her and looked her in the face, brushing a half-tear from her eye as he finished,
"Perhaps you and I could share the same field..."
The slightest traces of a smile lit his face as he waited for an answer.

Xeno sniffed gently, looking up at Daedalus, before hugging him back. It was better then having nothing... and she hoped it worked out.
"Lets... at least give it a chance..." she muttered, not trusting herself to say anymore without breaking down, clinging tightly to him.

Daed nodded with his face blank once more, though his eyes were half-lidded as he placed a hand on Xeno's head, gently stroking her hair.
"I'd like that." Was all he muttered in response.
Shive watched on with a smile, yet he was grinning inwardly at the sight of the two embracing as he thought,
Aww, I knew it'd work. I have high hopes for you both.
He then turned back to Myrr, and lifted her chin with a foreclaw, muttering quietly,
"We should probably head home now... I dunno about you, but I'm tired. Plus, well... those two could use some alone time."
With that, the two took off into the graying winter/early spring sky, leaving the silent Xeno and Daedalus behind as Daedalus whispered to himself,
"I'd really like that."
