Asuka suddenly growled.
"Shinji practically abandoned me in the final fight... He was right there... with his Eva... Rei's dead as far as I know... and I have this strange feeling... almost a dream... of him strangling me... no way in hell I'd ever seek him out..."
She scowled underneath the helmet.
"... I know there's another Eva out there... but I know its not Shinji... I'm not exactly ready to meet him or her either..."
The German sighed to herself, turning her head away from Thaea...
"... Please tell me you're the only telepath of your family..." Asuka suddenly said without turning to Thaea.

Thaea winced at Asuka's response, then sighed at her question.
"I... hate to tell you this, but... not only is my grandfather an extremely potent telepath, Nightshade has at least several others... I don't think you'll have to worry about them, though. The good ones all keep to themselves, and the only telepath here you could consider 'evil' will probably ignore you, if you ever meet him..." She muttered in response.
She shook her head, then added,
"You'd openly reject the people who wanted to be your frineds, just because of suspicion and a wierd dream? That sounds kind of-"
She paused, then took on a complacent look of surprise.
"Huh. Valkyries."
Just then, three of the Veritech fighters dropped out of the sky, one of which was the 2nd-in-command of Tenkyanon himself, the VF-4 known as Nocturn. He and the two VF-25's alongside him abruptly snapped their heads at Asuka, and one of the 25's muttered,
"Second Unit located. Initiating confirmation."
Nocturn narrowed his eye at Asuka for a moment, then asked,
"Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to go by the name of 'Asuka', would you?"

Asuka just narrowed her eyes at the Veritechs. Something about them just didn't seem right.
"And you'd care... why?" She inquired back almost nonchalantly, these things all but knew her name, and she'd never seen them before, she wasn't about ready to confirm or deny anything until she got answers.

The three Veritech fighters all glanced at eachother, and Nocturn issued a mechanical sigh.
"Well, we were ordered to find the other two 'Evangelion' units that popped up here recently. We know 'Asuka's' name because Unit 01, aka 'Shinji' informed us about her. Our boss would like to see all three of them all at once, if possible."
He scratched his head, then asked,
"Well? Are you Asuka? You certainly look like an 'EVA' unit to me... but that doesn't neccesarily prove anything."
Meanwhile, Thaea nonchalantly listened as she was ignored by the mecha nearby.
Aha... so they did show up... or at least, Shinji did. She thought with a mental smirk.

'... Baka Shinji...' Asuka thought, regarding the Veritech's words.
"Sorry, you've got the wrong person. Didn't even know there was some one named 'Asuka' running around here..." she lied, sighing. Under the helmet, all four of the Eva's eyes glanced over at Thaea.
'Don't you dare rat me off... If I have to look at that baka, I can't guarantee he'll survive this time...' the German mentally hissed, focusing on the dragonkin. Meanwhile, she was glad that the words on some of the armor pieces were too far scratched up to be readable.
'... I'm not ready to face him again... not after everything I've seen and felt... and that dream... seemed so real...' she added on to herself, trying to hide it from Thaea's telepathy.

"... Ahh. Well, sorry to disturb you, then." Nocturn stated, half-bowing.
He and the other two turned around, yet the ebony fighter paused, then casually tossed his gun-pod on the ground behind him.
"You can't walk around here, depending on just your fists, though. Take the gun." He muttered.
With that, the three launched into the air, shifting into their Fighter modes and rocketed off into the sky. Meanwhile, Thaea had picked up on Asuka's directed thoughts, and sighed, muttering aloud,
"I didn't say anything this time... but you know you'll have to face him sooner or later. Same with the other Eva."
* * * * * *
As the three Valkyrie's ascended into the upper layers of the atmosphere, one of the VF-25's asked his superior,
"Sir, you know that was her, right? She had the same energy readings, blood type, everything! Why didn't you do anything?"
The black jet was silent for a moment, then sighed,
"If she doesn't want to come, then she doesn't want to come. It's her decision."
"You know O'Malley won't be happy with you..." The other VF-25 muttered.
"He can deal with it... he knows her whereabouts now, that's all that matters. He can contact her himself if he needs to."

Asuka just snarled under the helmet, picking up the gun pod.
"... I'll make sure it doesn't happen..." the German muttered under her breath as she hauled herself out of the water.
"You know... I wouldn't be surprised if they already knew without you saying anything... but thanks anyways..."
'The longer I stick around here, the greater the chance he'll find me... I don't want to see him ever again...'
Asuka sighed to herself, not really able to tell whether she should leave or not.

Thaea sighed, muttering,
"Knowing O'Malley's troops, I wouldn't doubt it... but you're welcome."
She watched Asuka haul herself out of the spring, and knew she would try to leave. She glanced off to the side, and asked,
"Hey, Asuka... um... I've... got a place in the Abandoned District back at Nightshade. If you'd like to stay there, you're more than welcome to... and I'd love the company. Like I said, I'm still technically new here."
She's got nowhere else to go... she'd better not delcine it. She mused sadly.

"Sure... Got no where else to go..." Asuka answered, turning to Thaea.
'Is this what I should be doing? Why was I brought here? So many questions and no damn answers...'
"Well... Whenever you're ready to go." Asuka finished, sitting down again.

Thaea gave a light smile, then groaned,
"Ahh... one sec. The water's too good to leave just yet."
Several more minutes passed, and Thaea abruptly slapped her hands on the edge of the spring, then slid out backwards, wincing as she cam einto contact with the cold winter air. She abruptly shrieked and made a mad-dash for her clothes, pulling them on as quickly as she could, teeth chattering noisily. After the process was finished, and Thaea had managed to put even her armor on, she stretched her arms, sighing in relief as the nanotech armor's insulation kicked in.
"Much better... alright Asuka, hop on the bike, and let's show you where I technically grew up!" She exclaimed in a bubbly tone.
She slid onto the bike's seat, patting the back of said seat as it extended backwards a bit to accomodate the passenger.

The Eva merely nodded as she got onto the seat, then smiled lightly.
"I'd ask if you had a helmet for me, but I've technically already got one... heh..." Asuka quipped lightly, holding on to Thaea so that when the motorcycle tookk off she wouldn't fall off.

Thaea nodded, then hit the ignition on the futuristic vehicle. Twisting the handle, the crimson bike, Eva, and dragonkin then launched forward through the trees, Thaea guiding the machine with expert handling. They ripped through the surrounding forest, and eventually came out onto a rocky, downward slope before hitting the flat land that lead to the city of Nightshade.
