The red demon known as Charon issued a painful scream as he was smashed into the ground, a pair of large, reptiliain creatures covered in bony armor and surrounded by crackling lightning landing nearby, flexing their claws. Charon's eyes wavered as he steadied himself on his blade, coughing while thick, dark-red blood seeped from various sections of his battered frame. He roared angrily before his faceplate snapped open, the orb on his chest glowing brightly as crackling green, fire-like energy seeped into his maw. A firey sphere of this energy then shot forth from his fanged jaws, rushing forward and smashing into one of the beast's eyeless heads, causing it to stagger and growl in pain.
"C'mon... ya son's o' bitches... IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE...?!" He screamed defiantly.
They both growled, then reverted to bolts of lightning, rushing about with extreme speed before turning solid again on either side of him. His eyes widened, and too late did he see their pincer attack coming. Both ran him through on their horns, coursing thousands of volts of lightning into his frame as they hefted him into the air. He screamed in pain again before they dropped him, then kicked him several dozen feet away. He hacked up a large handful of blood and charred flesh as he struggled to rise his head, rumbling,
"No... not here... I refuse to be beaten by such lowly demons as these..."
The two then rushed forward once more, wailing in glee as they went...

Only to be knocked away as two humanoid forms kicked them off course as one.
"Oi, two-on-one isn't fair!"
"You know... three-on-two isn't fair either."
"Shush! How many times have I nit-picked on you, Myrr!?"
"Several."
"ARGH! Look, lets just kill 'em and be done with this."
"They seem weakened, so its not too bad that we didn't bring our armors..."
The two revealed themselves as they stood up to be Myrr and Xeno, both of which wielding their respective swords.
"Let's go!" Xeno cheered as she charged at one of the demons, here impossibly thin sword slicing through a good chunk of its body with ease.
"Don't hog all the action!" Myrr chastised as she jumped, stabbing the other demon in the shoulder with her blade as she came down, before ripping it out and causing the arm to fall limp.
The two jumped back and reeled their wings back, building up for double Wind Bullets while the demons recovered.
"Take this!" they cried as one as they threw their wings forward, issuing a hail of pressurized wind 'spheres' at the demons.
(OOC: Been awhile since I put that in play)

Charon watched in surprise at his two saviors, then scowled under his faceplate as the two demon's electrical auras abruptly snapped into an angry red. They both howled, 'bolting' forward before slamming their shoulders into the Myrrs, then grabbing the, by their faces and slamming them into the ground. The withdrew their massive hands, and were about to blast them before what appeared to be a massive, disembodied arm composed of 'solid' shadows backhanded them aside, causing their blasts of lightning to streak across the sky. Charon stood, eyes ablaze and his sword replaced by a piece of jet-black armor covering his entire right arm and hand, a smaller version of the shadow-arm from before floating several inches away from it, mimicking the arm's exact movements.
"DON'T YOU DARE F*CKING TOUCH THEM AGAIN...!" Charon growled, fist clenching.
The beasts snarled, 'bolting' forward again toward the crimson demon. His eyes narrowed, and the black armor was abruptly replaced in a green flash by a bone-like handle with four bladed chains hanging off of its front end, each chain ending in a larger, triangular blade with serrated edges. He began to twirl the weapon above his head, quickly creating a whirling 'disk' of flashing metal around him. The moment the creatures zipped into its radius and re-formed, they screamed in pain as the blades tore through their forms, causing them to lunge backwards out of its radius, their lightning flaring once more. They both 'glanced' at eachother, then fired off their super-charged bolts of crimson lightning, of which caught Charon off-guard and blasted him back a good several dozen feet, front cracked and smoldering.
The two creatures then threw their heads into the air and issued dying wails before dissapating in two bursts of angry electricity, forever gone. Charon wheezed, unable to breathe due to the fact his lungs had been knocked windless, and temporarily paalyzed due to the voltage he had endured. His whip-like weapon dissapeared in another burst of green light, one of the orbs on his body fading away in it's sudden glow. He staggered to his feet, wheezing as breath returned to him, only to collapse onto his knees, not having the strength for much more at the moment.
"damned... Blitzes. Urgh... agile tanks, that's all they are..." He coughed, blood oozing out from under his faceplate.
He glanced at Myrr and Xeno through his shaky gaze, and forced himself not to open the faceplate.
I can breathe... just... fine... He thought, before crumpling forward onto his face.

Myrr and Xeno just pulled their heads out of the ground, miffed that their signature attacks were nigh worthless.
"Oooh, I hope he showed them who was boss for that..." Xeno scowled as she noticed the Blitzes were gone.
"Seems reasonable, still, the first time I try using that in a long time, and we still get curb-stomped... kinda..." Myrr replied, brushing dust off her shoulders.
"Whatever, I'm just glad they're gone. Looks like our friend there isn't doing to good though."
The dark Myrr then walked up to Charon. "Hey, you alright?"
Meanwhile, the light half of the duo just tilted her head in confusion. 'Why do I feel like we should know him?'

Charon pushed his chest off of the ground, hacking and wheezing before he muttered,
"Ahh f*ck it..."
His faceplate snapped open, revealing the bloodstained mouth... and another gush of the dark fluid shot forth from his mouth onto the ground. He drew in several gasping breaths, before hissing,
"Gaah... I'll wring his neck when I get my hands on him..."
He paused, then slowly glanced up at Xeno and Myrr. He mentally scowled, pondering if he should go with the disguise as he did with Chiggar, but... that encounter was still fresh in his mind, and hurt to think about. Did he not agree to be ressurected to stop doing that?
"... I'm... I'm fine... just a bit of fluid... in the lungs... maybe a few obsolete organs now..." He hacked.
He shoved himself backwards, landing on his hind.
Won't take 'em long to find out anyway... He thought.

Indeed it didn't, both Myrrs' eyes flew wide open in shock.
"Garrett!?"
Xeno started babbling uselessly, "But, we saw you... And Solranous couldn't... But now you... and... uh..."
Myrr just pushed Xeno aside letting the hybrid continue muttering to herself, "How are you still alive... or a better question, who brought you back to life?"
"This is nuts, more then we're used too..." Xeno murmered.
"Not really, remember all the times Shive died and came back?"
"... Oh..." was all Xeno could respond with after that, going eeriely silent.

He looked off to the side, eyes narrowed, biting his lip with apparent fangs as his hands shook.
"Yes... it's me. Yes, I died... kind of hard not to after falling from orbit..."
His clawed hands abruptly snapped shut, and his scowl deepened, almost to the point where his teeth bared.
"As for how I came back... well... it's a long story. It's also why I look like this..."
He sighed, then turned his hard, amber stare at both of them, scowl loosening slightly.
"Basically, after my fall, I 'woke up' in this really, REALLY cold, dark castle of sorts. I had a shackle around my neck, and was being pulled along by some ice-covered lizard... THING. Naturally, I was shocked at this development, and asked the thing where I was. No response. Eventually, I got hauled into a large throne room of sorts, where there were more of these monsters, as well as several other kinds of beast. But they weren't the ones I was drawn to, no- that was their leader, General Arma. He's an impressive-looking demon, not to mention the fact he was sitting on that frost-covered throne that took up most of a wall. Anyway, he asked me my name and where I came from. I told him, 'Garret, from Nightshade.' That drew some surprised responses, and Arma had told me that he needed my help if this was true. I said it was."
He sighed, now staring at the ground with a sullen expression.
"I asked him what was in it for me, and he said he'd put me back there if I helped. This surprised me, and I asked where I was. He said 'Gehenna, a layer of Hell.' That surprised me the most, knowing I had in-fact, died... and that Hell was a real place, despite the environment not looking like it. I asked him if it was really true, and he said he was fully capable of it. However, he couldn't send me back as a human... only as one of them, a demon. This question unnerved me, and he stated his full bargain: 'I turn you into a demon, one with power strong enough to allow you to continue existing in that wretched place you call home, and in-return, you use that power to hunt down a demon for me. His name is Phalanx, and he's no slouch; he's there to look for the Demon's Crests, six potent objects designed to greatly enhance a demon's own strengths. You get to live your life again for as long as you wish, not to mention noteworthy power, and I get my revenge on the cretin I used to serve, as well as reclaim what is rightfully mine. That sounds like a fair deal to me, especially coming from a demon! What do you say?'"
His fists clenched, and lowered his head even further.
"I said I'd think about it, and he gave me an hour to do so. I could either return home as a monster from religious scriptures, hell-bent on destroying innocence and good in general; or I could stay in Hell for an eternity of torture for the things I'd done."
His fist pounded the ground, causing several cracks to run away from the point of impact. His teeth were gritted to the point of further bleeding, and he wheezed,
"Obviously, I agreed to his conditions. Several days passed by while I was submerged in what they call 'Abyssal Ooze', a concentrated version of the energy that binds Hell together. The entire time, I fought off sudden pervasive evil... powerful thoughts that tried to fully turn me into what I was becoming on the outside... ... a force of evil... but I still had something to help me ward it off."
He slowly smiled, shoulders shuddering.
"The thought of coming back... to live the life I had left behind in my anger and sorrow... and... to make amends to the people I had hurt or offended, should they take me back after what I'd done... even though the doubt of what I was becoming crept in from time to time. Still, I clutched to that small sliver of light, and to my surprise, the transformation was done. I had retained my humanity, despite feeling a definite part of my psyche had been warped..."
He sighed, his involuntary movements ceasing as he continued to stare at the ground.
"So, it was set. Arma sent me back to the Material Plane- my own city, no less, giving me several Devil Arms, one of which is a manifestation of my own power. I'm here now, as you can see... and the only thing left is to find Phalanx and the Demon Crests, preferrably before he can get to them... Unfortunately, Phalanx is quite a bit stronger than I expected, and Arma failed to tell me that he can summon help easily... as was apparent by those two Blitzes you saw earlier."
He rose to his feet with a grunt, then looked at both of the sisters with human eyes, despite the iris's being yellow in color. He smiled at them in a melancholy sort of way, then asked with a slight choke,
"But, hey... I'm back. My question, after all of this, is... ... ... is it... okay...? Would.... would you all take me back, despite what I did to you... despite being what I am now?"

"Hey... of course we'll accept you back. We were all glad when Shive come back after pushing us all away, getting himself killed and then turned into an undead warrior... I was esctatic when he came back"
Xeno the perked up, "Hey, Myrr, should we...?"
Myrr glanced at her dark counterpart and nodded, "Anyways, we can help you out... You see, we know exactly where the Demon Crests are."
Xeno then walked towards Garrett/Charon, and pullhis face up to meet hers. "But if you want us to help you get them, you've gotta shape up first and stop being so mopey"
Myrr picked up where Xeno left off, "Because if what your describing is true, which I have no doubt it is, then if you continue on any sorrow you have, you'll lose the humanity you're still clinging too. Then you really will be a demon and... and one of us, whoever it maybe, may have to destroy you if you truly turn evil. You of all people don't deserve that after all the shit you went through."
Xeno sighed to herself and back pedalled next to her sister, "We'll help you, both in finding the Crests and dealing with your emotional troubles. Sounds pretty good to me."

Garrett smiled heartily at them both, then leaned forward and put a clawed hand on their shoulders, muttering,
"Thanks... thanks so much, for everything... it means a lot to me, after, as you said, 'all the shit that's happened to me'."
He sighed, withdrawing his claws from them as he was abruptly enveloped in a green mist, slowly shrinking down to his old 6'0 in height. He looked slightly older than he was when they last saw him, bearing slightly more defined facial hair. He was smirking, hands jammed in the pockets of a black jacket, under which was a crimson t-shirt with blue jeans just below those. He sighed, ruffling his brown-black hair (said hair seeming to have a slight silver sheen...), and laughed,
"I owe too many people favors at this point in time... I should really start paying them back."
He paused, then winced, noting that while his wounds hadn't transfered over to his current form, the pain had remained.
"damn... didn't expect that..." He groaned, clutching at his ribs.
He grunted, gritting his teeth against the sensation, and managed to hold his ground.

The two Myrrs walked over to Garrett, both somewhat worried about his condition, but otherwise joyful.
"Well, being able to change yourself like this really helps things along." Myrr commented.
"Yeah, I'll say, but maybe we should give you some time to recover from the fight." Xeno replied before checking up on Garrett one more time.
"But after that, we're getting started on helping you clear your conscious. Don't want anything to come back and bite you. Where do we start after you recover?" Myrr inquired.
Both of them knew that it might take a while, but last they had checked the Demon Crest's were still hidden safely, they could probably handle a few more days or so.

He sighed, then abruptly tore his greatsword forth from his arm in a burst of green light, then stabbed it into the ground and leaned onto it.
"Recover from the fight? Which one? I've been fighting almost non-stop since I got here... those Blitzes were the..."
He paused, counting on his fingers.
"... twelfth fight I had in the past three days. But yes... I could afford to rest..."
He grunted, shifting his weight against his sword- a large blade with a chrome guard resembling some form of monstrous, skullish reptilian’s head with its jaws clamped down on the blade's edges. He stared at the visage's 'eye', then shook his head.
"As for 'clearing my conscious'... hmph. What haven't I done...? I killed innocent people in a blind fit of rage when I had the Guyver... that damn thing got my father and two of my best friends killed because I picked it up anyway... I got my mother killed because I made a stupid mistake... ... I-I got Varion and Ryouki killed because I wasn't paying attention to the fight..."
His grip tightened on the sword's handle, and he started to shake again.
"I pushed away every helping hand that came at me, and I even hated them for their pity. I willingly distanced myself from them, and I nutured that hate... until I couldn't stand to see another person's face. My hate grew and grew until I took my anger out on anything that moved, and I didn't feel bad about it."
His skin started to darken in color, reverting to its original dusky red coloration as blood started to run down the handle, the demon gripping and twisting his hands about the sword's grip as he clenched his eyes shut, doubled over.
"And to top it off... I had the audacity to come back, instead of getting the punishment I deserved... gaah! I'm... I'm a horrid person, thinking about it..."
He was in such a state of melancholy, he hadn't even noticed the fact he'd reverted back into his demon form. He shuddered, collapsing onto his knees as he continued to clutch at the sword.

Myrr sighed, for this was quickly spiralling out of control, and she slapped Garrett hard enough to whip his head to the side, said demon's eyes going wide mostly from shock, as the actual pain from the hit was only a minor sting that quickly vanished, she didn't want to hurt the poor fellow more then he already had been.
"Look, first get a hold of yourself and lets take it one step at a time." the half dragon muttered, pulling the demon's head so their eyes met again.
"Killed innocent people? It's inevitable that things like that happen. One way or another almost everyone here has inadvertantly taken lives of the innocent, its impossible to avoid, especially if you get stronger then before.
Now, concerning your family and friends. By now they've realized that, in the first case, you had no control over yourself and would have never done those things if you did. In the second case, I'm certain that she knew that, had you known in hind sight that that would've happened, you would've never made that mistake. But that's why its called hind sight, because you could've never known for certain that it would or wouldn't happen, no body blames you for that.
Next, concerning Varion and Ryouki... They were warriors, they knew they would die in battle, whether it be by the opponents superiority or their own blunder. They got what they wanted in the end, the destruction of the Cromians. Certainly they left the living world with no regrets, regardless of what mistakes were made on any part of yours or theirs.
Moving on, it's natural to be afraid of connecting with others when you've been hurt so badly before. Fear is a difficult thing to overcome if your not ready, and it quickly turns to anger, and then to hate. The reason it was nutured is because you weren't ready to confront it and overcome it, becoming so cold and hateful is, in some strange way, a subconscious defense against the fear of loss. If you hated everything, you wouldn't fear losing anything, and then you wouldn't be hurt again if somebody killed another that you knew nearby.
Like I said, you weren't ready to overcome it then... but now will be different if you let it. Things can only change if you let them change or push for them if they aren't coming normally."
Myrr panted slightly from her words, prepping herself for the last bit.
"And... pushing to come back to life... is nothing to be ashamed of... to want to come back to life, even after all of these things... it shows that deep down, hidden in your heart, you're willing to work for one thing... Redemption... for all the wrongs you feel that you've wrought on others. That's nothing to feel horrible about Garrett... everybody would want redemption if they truely felt that they did something wrong... I don't know how, but I can sense that you truely do mean everything, for what it really is, even if you haven't realized it yet consciously..." the half dragon finshed, sighing lightly and smiling.
Xeno just whistled, "Whoo, that racks up to one of Sol's speeches."
"Not helping, Xe..." Myrr muttered, sighting her dark half from the corner of her eye.

Garrett stared at Myrr after her strike and speech, then closed his eyes and issued a shuddering sigh that seemed to tear the weight of the world from his shoulders. He abruptly smirked, letting several teeth poke out between his lips as he muttered,
"I... suppose you're right."
He rubbed at his eyes with his thumb and index finger, adding,
"Thanks, again. I needed that. Were it not for people like you, and your words... I'd have already gone full demon at this point. Heh. I've shamed Varion's name by acting so weakly..."
He shook his head, giving a laugh that seemed to bear both bitterness and relief at the same time. His wings spread slightly, revealing their red-glossed array of black feathers.
"These wings prove it, though... your point. I may have this terrible form, but like other fallen angels, I still retain a piece of my past. I desperately want to make up for the things I've done, but now, I fully think I can work toward doing so."
He glanced at his clawed hand, then clenched it, his smirk gaining the same light it had during his final fight with Nexus- the light called joy.
"Yes... with these new hands of mine, I'll rebuild my life, make it as good- no, make it better than it was before. Actually..."
He paused, putting his claw to his chin, with a ponderous look to his face. He abruptly grinned, slamming a fist into his open palm.
"I think I just set a fine example for my own speech, back with Nexus... mankind does indeed struggle to exist, simply because they choose to exist. Ha! That also proves I can still be me!"
He gave a barking laugh, still grinning at Myrr.
"Yeah... I think things'll work now. If there's anything I can do for either of you, just ask..."
He paused, scowling, then his chest orb flashed green, and a bolt of emerald fire shot forth from his maw, slamming into some form of gray humanoid with a gaunt face. The black-cloaked creature issued a moan as it flew backwards several feet, groaning as its chest smoldered while several more of its kind staggered into view, all brandishing large scythes.
"... but for now, it seems that may have to wait." He growled, faceplate snapping into view.
With that, he charged at the nearest one with his blade drawn, roaring before slashing it into the air, then slammed it back into the ground with a well-executed frontflip-kick. The rest began to make their way toward the Myrr's, their constantly-gaping maws issuing whispering groans.

"And this makes fight number thirteen for poor Garrett, they need to give him a break..." Xeno muttered as she brandished her sword again.
Myrr suddenly howled as she charged at one of the monsters, presumably demons, slashing through one of the beasts with ease.
"OUTTA OUR WAY!" she roared as she struck it down.
"Can't let anybody get some rest around here, can you!?" Xeno quipped as she cleaved through two of them one after the other. The Myrrs snarled at the demons in there sights and continued to charge, blades glinting as they singed through the air.

"Phalanx isn't too keen on letting me do my job, is he?!" Garrett barked, splitting one of the creatures in half with his sword.
He lashed out behind him with a foot, catching another one of the creatures in its mouth, then hooked his claws into it and did a backflip, somehow hurling the demon at another one of its comrades getting ready to swipe at Myrr, knocking both over the cliff. He grunted as another one stabbed into his shoulder with its scythe, eliciting a spray of black-red blood, then pried the scythe out and used it to cleave its own wielder down. Meanwhile, four more swarmed Myrr and Xeno, blindly swinging their weapons, managing to cause several light wounds on the two, but by no means anything serious.
Garrett was currently spinning around another three of them on one of his Devil Arms, Scylla, the demons all run through on three of Scylla's wicked blades. One of the demons fighting the sisters had managed to to hook its scythe behind Xeno's leg and tripped her with it, two more temporarily ganging up on her, swinging theri scythes downward as at least another dozen staggered through the trees nearby.
