Shiryu held onto Khimera as strongly as he could determined to make Khimera endure every bit of the attack. His energy began to slowly fade but before his reverting starts he channels the attack from Sol through the Nine Fragments directly into the body of Khimera. The reiatsu surged throughout the entirety of Khimera's body inflicting a pain like no other before it.
"Now Khimera let this be the final blow.", Shiryu said as he began the process of reverting to hi human form from lack of energy to support the transformation. the attack's force began to tear into Shiryu as he came back to human form leaving the crystal he had taken earlier as his last life support.
The energy faded from the crystal as it worked to keep Shiryu alive. As it began to fail he moved away and let Khimera be forced away from the blast.

As the haze dissapated, the only contender that could be seen was Shiryu, but in what state was unknown. No trace of Khimera could be found whatsoever, the massive crater showing no signs of the amalgam, except for his Zanpoktou, of which was in its unreleased form. It too, eventually, crumbled into spirit particles and faded away.

Several dozen feet below ground, a metallic object glinted.
damn! This'll take me hours to reform! GRAH! I'll have those b*stard's heads!! Khimera thought, nothing left of him but his control medal.

Solranous sighed, dropping out of Bankai to help recover his energy faster then he would have before, then rushed over to Shiryu and leaning down near him, ignoring the tingle that hinted that it wasn't over.
"Hey... You alright?" Solranous asked the reaper.

As Shiryu saw that Khimera was finished. He fell unable to move himself from exhaustion. As he came back to the ground Mercurio caught him in her lap and began using a crystal to heal his wounds extreme as they were.
Tears in her eyes she says, "Shiryu you fool you risked your life to save this planet. I thought you promised you weren't going to leave me alone ever again without telling me first."
"I know but hey I'm still here so haven't I kept my word.", he said with a faint smile. "Sol we did wonderful out there even though I couldn't control my Spirit Rage it worked. This battle's done but you need to get over to the other one downtown my friend. Give em a solid one for me would you and after this we shall celebrate this win."

Solranous grinned so that his fangs glimmered.
"I'll give 'em two. You and Mercurio be careful, things are gonna get rough out there." Solranous told them, then surged into the air. He Flash Stepped rapidly, intending to intervene in the fight before it got out of hand.

Having recovered enough energy to walk Mercurio helped Shiryu to his feet and they began a long walk around the fight to get home.
Shiryu stared off towards the fight, "Good luck my friend may you return safely. For now I must rest and then train so I may help with more than just one fight."
"You'll have to wait a few days though considering your condition.", Mercurio told him.
"Fine but it will happen eventually."
After that the headed off into the city on a long route home.
