'And here I thought I would have to look for them...' Chiggar thought numbly. She wasn't sure if they could understand her words, seeing as they didn't speak in the same language, but she had to try.
"My friend here needs help, I'm told that you might be able to undo his condition. Can, and will, you help?" the beetle spoke slowly edging closer to the shadows in which the creatures hid.

The things all buzzed in low tones to eachother, then several of them held up their claws, buzzing in what sounded like English,
"The child has been infected with The Colour."
"It is not an easy thing to reverse..."
"Why waste our time on a single creature, when our duty requires our attention?"
One of them silenced the others with a swipe of its claw.
"We can help, yes, but... what might we get in return?" It asked.
If possible, Mortis was far more emiacated than before. He moved very little, and it was hard to tell if he was breathing.

Chiggar visibly slouched down, having not expected tht question from what appeared to be the leader. She didn't know their intrests, but even if she did, she severely doubted that she had what they could possibly want.
The beetle's head dipped sadly until her cannon was against the ground. "I doubt I have anything to give that you would want..." Chiggar admitted, grief at the potential loss of aid unmissable in her voice.
'Greedy b******s... there is probably no one else who can reverse this either... Then again, it might be understandable if their mission is really that important...' the beetle thought.

They buzzed amongst themselves again, and just when it seemed they were about to walk off, one of them broke through an into the moonlight, revealing itself completely. Their carapace's were a purplish-pink in color, their antannae-clusters were a tan-gray, and their fin-membranes were a gray-black. This one, however, was noticeably different; its back-fins were larger and jointed, possibly wings. It stood next to Chiggar, buzzing in an odd tone as its antannae turned a white in color.
"By Shub-Niggurath! T'is a minion of He Who Lies Dreaming!" It exclaimed.
The entire group burst into commotion, then the winged one turned to Chiggar, buzzing,
"Gve us the Child, we shall do what we can! Hurry!"
Several of them 'glided' on the air, picking up Mortis and scampering into the woods, chanting some odd phrase in an unpronouncable language. The winged one turned to Chiggar, its white antannae now turning a bright green as it stated,
"Thou shalt meet us in the forest in another day's passing."
With that, it flapped its great wings once, sailing into the air, just above the treeline befor eit dissapeared.

Chiggar blinked at the sudden change of attitude from the Old Ones. "Uh... Ok?" she said uncertainly when they were out of hearing range. The beetle then lumbered off, still worried sick about Mortis, but managing to quell it enough that she didn't go running after them. A day... then she'd see if they could do anything...
[End Thread, I'll assume]
