Garrett was silent for quite some time after hearing the message, eyes wide and jaw set firmly. Even Varion, who had no idea what was going on, kept quiet. The teen's breathing was slow, noticeable only be the slight movement in his chest. Finally, he muttered in a hoarse tone,
"You know there's no way I can believe this... that Zoanoid had no way of communicating with you. You yourself said so; he's dead."
He turned that same blank, steely stare at her, adding,
"And the fact you'd use someone like him to lie to me is... horrible of you, to say the least."
He awaited her response, fists clenched.

Kisara shook her head.
"I didn't lie, I'm a Shinigami now. That's why you couldn't see me when I started tearing through those strange monsters. I can also see and interact with spirits, like X was in this case. Believe me, if you were in my position and I in yours, I would have said the exact same thing."
Kisara sighed and shook her head.
"Hell, I'm the one who helped him move on to Heaven."

Garrett scowled, having very little knowledge of what a Shinigami was, but knowing enough. His fists clenched and unclenched, wanting to tell her she was still lying, but, given the information... something told him that wasn't so. He barely shook his head slowly, then his hands abruptly went to the sides of his head as he shouted,
"NO! You're lying, goddamnit! You have to be!"
"Judging from your memories, boy... it sounds like something he'd say..." Varion piped in.
The watch was abruptly thrown against the wall as Garrett curled into himself, still sitting up.
"No... just, no..."
He was silent again, face hidden by the shadows his arms casted. After a few minutes, he finally muttered,
"Then he must be lying..."

"If you saw his facial expression when he said it, you wouldn't be saying that. He was dead serious about what he said, and truthful all the way around. I'd leave you alone to let you think about this, but you'd probably run away and try to fight when you know you can't."
Kisara sighed to herself.
"You're so stubborn you'll get yourself killed one day, you know that?"

Garrett's sullen face came back into view, and he 'hmphed', looking worn out.
"Like you're any different..." He muttered.
He laid back, silent once more as he rubbed his face with both hands.
"I'm just.... tired of letting people down... and most of those died because of me..." He mumbled.
He tilted his head at Kisara, eyes sunken and scourged by pain.
"One of which was Sol..."

Kisara was sullen now, remembering the death of Solranous... unttil something twitched in her mind. It was so slight, she almost didn't notice it, but there was no doubting it.
"Solranous is not dead." Kisara said, positive now.
'So, you really can't keep a good dragon down for good.'
Onyste roared gleefully, also feeling the sensation Kisara had.

Garrett snorted, rolling his head so he faced the opposite direction.
"If he's not dead, then where is he?" He muttered.
He stared at the celing, asking,
"If he's still alive, shouldn't he be doing something about that 'Nexus' guy, or whatever the hell happened in the graveyard a few weeks ago?"
* * * * *
Meanwhile, a large, quadrapedal shape stood on Garrett's roof, a pair of diamond-shaped, emotionless red eyes glowing out through the darkness. A single glowing-green hemisphere was set into its chest, a serpentine neck stretching forth about a foot above it. It propped its right foreleg up, resting its chin on the clawed foot.
"Hmph. He's almost as bad as O'Malley." It muttered with a mental smirk.

"Its because of Cresence... He couldn't defeat Cresence, so if he were to reveal he was still alive right now, Cresence would make sure he was dead, so he had to get stronger. That's why he lead us all to believe he was dead... so he could buy time to get stronger..." Kisara explained, standing up.
"Hell maybe coming to Earth, but Solranous will be there, fighting till the end."

Garrett shrugged, staring off to the side.
"Hmph. Good for him."
He rolled over onto his side, facing away from Kisara, wincing at the pain.
"Meanwhile, those of us in less-than-favorable condition get to be useless on the sideline..." He muttered.
He grabbed a pillow and before stuffing it over his head, he muttered,
"Leaving tomorrow, whether you like it or not. Good. Night."

Kisara frowned at Garrett's words. She hadn't meant for it to sound like that...
'Onyste, set up mag generators around the doors to create barriers. I don't want him leaving here, he won't be ok enough be moving again.'
"Right, Right..." the false dragon replied, getting the devices Myrr had helped create. If one wanted to pass those barriers, one needed to have Mag Claw, or convince some one with Mag Claw to open up a hole in the barrier. While it could be damaged, and even broken, with sufficient force, Kisara highly doubted that Garrett could achieve it in his weakened state, even with Varion's help.

Though his eyes were closed, Garrett still scolwed as he thought,
You f*cking idiot! Had you not been standing there like an idiot, you wouldn't be in this condition, and therefore still be able to fight! Grah! Useless-useless-USELESS!!
He grumbled, shifting himself before faaling into sleep. The watch lying at the base of the wall sighed, muttering,
"Someone could've at least put me on a table or something..."
((End thread *laughs at Garrett from other side of barrier*))
