Saelia sat by the lake. She was dressed as a princess normally was; draped in a slightly sheer veil that, at best, could only be described as partially covering. She was playing lightly near the water as an alien device played ethereal music.
Behind her, several dozen yards away through some trees, the sky opened. As fast as light, he came down and landed in another part of the lake. The lake split open to accept him, not merely parting, but ripping a perfect hole for him to enter. Not one drop touched him. His jets fired up again and he rose from the water as it slowly filled in the hole. He looked around to get his bearings, and headed in one particular direction.
Saelia smiled when she heard the very slight roar of Thanatos' advanced jets. She knew he liked to use the power he had; it made him feel alive.
"What, is walking beneath you now?" She said with a slight smirk as she turned around to face him. Her face changed in an instant, and froze. It was shock, and maybe a little fear. It wasn't Thanatos...but....it was.
"Saelia...is it really you?" A deep, powerful, and somewhat terrifying voice emanated from it. "It's...been so long."
Then he reached out a hand.

As Shive lazily flew through the air, depressed at the information he had been force-fed. He stopped, then turned around, for he heard voices. He flew to the opposite side of the lake from where he had been before, his keen eyes spotting two shapes. One he recognized as th cyborg Thantos. But the other...
"Who the hell is that?" He asked himself.
He attempted to circle above them, but unfortunatly, a rising breeze caught him and sent him tumbling through the air, headfirst into the lake.
"F***!!!!!!" He screamed, just before hitting the surface.

Thanatos was flying through the trees, his jets on low. He was almost moving lazily, so that those who were following him would be able to catch up.
He heard a splash up ahead ahead. Saelia must be swimming, he thought to himself as he smiled inwardly. I knew coming to a lake was a good idea.
Everything fine...until he heard the weapons fire.

The huge cyborg saw Shive at the last second before he hit the water. He smiled inwardly. He was in the right place, and more importantly, the right time.
"Good, Shive's here," He muttered. Then he fired three or four shots from the long cannon on his left shoulder. None of the shots hit, but they were close, like he intentionally missed. Instead, they literally burrowed holes into the water, which steamed and swirled for a split second before caving in on themselves. "Scare him a bit. Just like old times."

((Long barrel? On the left shoulder?  Oh no... it's... it's...)) Shive's head popped up, sputtering. He spat out a fish before glancing around, from Thanatos to the newcomer. "Wait a sec..." Shive muttered, staring at the female. His eyes narrowed as he crawled out of the water, then shook his hands off. He stared intently at her, scratching his chin, eyes narrowed, then he turned towards Thanatos, staring at him. He glanced back and forth at them, then shrugged. "Missiles don't scare me much anymore." Shive muttered towards Thanatos. |

"Why don't you get out of the water and say that to my face?" the Thanatos look alike asked. Saelia was still too frightened to move much, but the newcomer made her feel like she needed more clothes, so she somewhat slowly grabbed an additional piece of adorning cloth.
Thanatos was almost there. The damn trees were slowing him down.

Future Solranous was almost at the foot of the mountain on which Diamond lake rested when a 'spark' went through his consciousness.
"What the...? Something is wrong... something is different from what I remember... I must know..." Consentrating, the spectral dragon teleported, landing himself in the forests surrounding the lake. He instantly noticed a being that looked like Thanatos... No, it wasn't Thanatos, too many differences... yet the feeling he sensed from the cyborg was trying to confirm that it was Thanatos... Peculiar indeed... This would require diligent observation.

"What if I don't feel like it?!" Shive hissed in response.
He sighed and stepped out of the water, away from the others.
"Sorry, Thanatos. Bad day so far." He muttered.
He kicked at the sand, then looked up and asked the female,
"So who are you? I can obviously tell you know Thanatos, so... I'm assuming... you're Saelia, correct?"

"Thanatos? Heheheheh" The newcomer chuckled. "He's not here yet."
The Thanatos look-alike was practically beaming on the inside. It was perfect, just perfect. Thanatos would be here...now.
Thanatos burst through the trees and stopped dead about a hundred yards away from...himself...?
"Don't worry, Saelia will not be harmed, Thanatos." The other cyborg remarked. "And you can come out too, Future Solranous. In fact, it's you I'd like to see the most. I think I should begin by telling you my name. I am Tercayn, and like the second Solranous, I am from the future. Just a different one.

Shive's jaw looked like it was going to pop off.
".....buh?"
He looked between the two Thanatos's, and he grabbed his head and started screaming like a lunatic into the air.
"WHAT THE F*** IS WITH ALL OF THESE PEOPLE FROM THE FUTURE?!"

"I'm here trying to fix a mistake. The first of which being his." Teracyn said, pointing towards future Solranous. "And please don't shout in the presence of such a beautiful lady." He added with a small bow to Saelia.
"Now, if the Solranous's and Myrr would join us, we can begin."

"My mistake?" Future Solranous asked as he stepped out. "If you are referring to my actions and requests leading to Nazo transforming sooner then expected, I am deeply sorry, I should have expected it. My younger self and my daughter are currently not in the vicinity, but I can and will bring them." the spectral dragon continued before he focused. First, he was alerting the two of what he was going to do, before Current Solranous and Myrr appeared with a burst of energy.
"I'm going to..." Current Solranous started, before he caught sight of Teracyn. The younger dragon's eyes rolled back as he promptly collasped, fainting from shock and fear.
"Oh dear..." Myrr muttered, hoisting him onto her shoulder, hoping he would wake up soon.

Shive slapped his hand over his face.
Great. The one person I DIDN'T need to see today. Hell, I'd prefer Nazo over her right now. Shive thought, spreading his wings.
"Uh... I guess you two will be doing some talking, so... I'm outta here." Shive stated, referring to Teracyn and Future Solranous.
With that, he sped out of the area like a rocket.

"Shive needs to hear this, whatever he's feeling." At the conclusion of that sentence, a fiery portal opened up around Shive as he flew off and placed him next to the others. "You may leave when we're finished."
"Now we can begin." Teracyn said. "The first thing I will address is the obvious one: I look like Thanatos because I am Thanatos. But I am also Aphostos, whom although you have encountered, you do not yet know him by his true name or form. I came here to fix what you couldn't," he said, narrowing his eyes as he glared at Future Solranous, "what I couldn't."
"I come from roughly twelve years in the future. It's not a pretty sight. I don't know if I ever cared much for this world; I never did think its beauty was as grand as my homeworld's, but in the future it is barely more than ash. Because of what you have been doing, and are planning on doing, everything goes wrong. In your future, you are killed because the being called Nazo transforms and attacks. In my future, you have damned yourself by trying to prevent this fate."
"Simply put, you fail. And worse, you cause things that you cannot begin to predict, the consequences of which are dire. Roughly one year from now, a final form Nazo and Draethik will emerge and combat one another for supremacy. The fight draws all of you, hoping to put an end to everything right then. That's when everything went wrong. Solranous was the first to be killed: he nobly tried to save his daughter, and was struck down by Draethik. Myrr was saved from that attack, but another from Draethik left her badly wounded and permanently blind."
"At this point, Shive changed. His Hollow form took over completely, and the real Shive was never to return. Even Daedalus joined in the fight after raged for days, with massive casualties. Lora was also badly injured, though spared death by quick action from O'Mally, though he lost most of his body in the process. Then Aphostos appeared to right everything. but even he could not stop the terrors at this point: they were too strong. He was injured and left in a stated of nigh-death."
"Then, Saelia, my beautiful Saelia was killed by the demon Nazo. At this point, the battle reached it's climax. In a terrifying blitzkrieg from all parties, Nazo was reduced to non-corporeal form and Draethik weakened to near helplessness. We had won. But only Shive and I were left standing without critical or life changing injury, and even then, we all had losses. Hollow Shive did not continue the fight. Why, I cannot say. but he did not. He and Daedalus went there separate ways. For a time."
"But not I. I could not leave. How could I? The only the thing that mattered had been taken from me, and there was nothing I could do about it. But the Gods took pity on me. Or rather, the Titans did. While I grieved over Saelia, I found Aphostos. We learned of eachother, and through the will of the Gods, knew that we were the key to eachother's survival. We became one. Through this, Aphostos could fulfill his purpose of serving the Titans, and I could have my revenge."
"About a year later, Hollow Shive re-emerged and went on a killing spree. I went out to stop him. The first battle ended so quickly, I let him live to fight another day. He formed a desperate alliance with his brother Daedalus in a last-ditch effort to defeat me after months of running. We had out final battle in October, of Earth months, on a cloudy day." He paused, remembering. "I beat Daedalus first, and allowed Shive to kill him as a kindness. Shive did so without hesitation, showing no pity to a brother who was changed. Yes, Shive, your brother changes. Not enough to qualify as redeemed, but he did some good before he died."
"Then I killed Shive. Unlike our previous fights, he didn't try to flee; he took with some dignity. Went out fighting like a maniac, which is probably why it ended up so bloody. Myrr was heartbroken when she found out you finally bit it. It was quiet after that, for a while. But Draethik wasn't dead, just laying low, and Nazo was regenerating. It was really just a question who would reappear first."
"Well, it was Nazo. He had regenerated about a year before he reemerged, but he stayed out of the way, absorbing massive amounts of power, so that when he did appear, he was at full strength. Killing him took three days. He fought with great power, but even he cannot defeat a Titan. He was slain, and his soul energy trapped. He will not regenerate again."
"Draethik came last. He was the strongest of them, I think, but he did have the most time to prepare. He achieved his final form, and battled with a fierceness I have never seen. He even managed to kill me, temporarily. But in the end, he was unable to stand against a Titan. His death and eternal imprisonment marked the end of my revenge. But not my mistakes."
"Myrr, O'Mally, Lora, and a few other survivors built a time machine while I hunted down and destroyed those that threatened the universe. When I found out about it, I went to claim it; it was a chance to right everything at the beginning! A chance to fix what was broken! Believed that if I went into the past and interferred, as Solranous did, that I would cause more harm than good. I grew angry at their resistance, and in my anger, I killed them."
"I took the time machine and traveled back to the beginning, where I killed Nazo and Draethik before they could harm anyone. I thought I had fixed everything. I destroyed it. The future I returned to was darker than the one I had left. The Titans had abandoned Earth, and in their wake, two forces battle for control: the Outer God, Yog-Sothoth, and the alien God-being, Dogolas. It was hell-on earth."
"So I traveled back once more, and here I am. I do not know what future I will return to, though with the Titan's help it should be the one I belong in, no matter the outcome of this meeting. I have come not save you, but to warn you. Draethik and Nazo are powerful foes, but stopping them too early will unleash the horrors of the Oouter Gods and Dogolas upon this world, and that must be avoided, no matter the cost."
"I can tell you ways to weaken them. Even ways to temporarily beat them in battle. But they must survive for the time being. I can kill them, but if comes to that, hope is lost. Solranous has the right heart, but the wrong methods. Turn to the Titans and the Gods, and you might just get through this. The voices tell me it can happen. They know all, they see all."
He finished. Silence. He let them soak it in. It wasn't easy hearing about death and loss, especially being the cause of such things. But they had to know.
"Any questions?"

Shive stood there, still as s statue.
Today just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? He thought to himself.
One word, however, kept flashing in his mind. Daedalus. Shive's pupils dialated so much they were almost nonexistant. His eyes were wide, not with fear, but something else. He had an almost derranged look about him, but the rest of his face was just... blank.
"So... the Hollow takes over, and he kills my brother." Shive muttered, his eyes now shaded over.
Then, they almost seemed to glow, as Shive glanced up.
"I'm assuming since everyone's been messing with the timeline lately, Daedalus'll show up later... or... sooner..." He whispered to himself, his fists clenched so tightly blood began to ooze from his palms.
Shive was about to ask a question, when a massive wave of unsen energy washed over the area, like a gust of wind. Everyone turned to the south, where the desert lay, as a massive pillar of green energy shot high into the air, storm clouds circulating around the top and spreading out. A massive, hideous voice, bellowed through their minds,
AFTER A THOUSAND YEARS, I HAVE FINALLY REACHED MY TRUE FORM! THIS PLANET BELONGS TO DRAETHIK!!!
As the looked on, a piece of the desert actually began to rise into the air, roughly a mile across. The floating island was being supported by the green pillar of energy, which dissapated shortly after, leaving the island suspened in mid-air about 3000 feet off of the ground.
"Oh... s***." Shive muttered.

"You have no idea how it pains me not to strike him down. But if I do, it will be far worse than anything he is capable of." Teracyn said, a distant sadness in his voice. "Strange though, he shouldn't appear for at least another month...my prescence must have caused this rift. Maybe...maybe I can fix it."
Teracyn flew into the and hovered for a moment. Staring down at Saelia, his eyes filled with longing. Then he glanced quietly at Thanatos and added, "You keep her safe. Keep her close."
With that he flew towards the desert. I'm not allowed to kill him now, he thought, but I think I can slow him down.
